So happy seeing adults using/knitting balaclavas. Since my kids were born i have knitted them every winter new animal themed ones, my son likes fox and for my daughter a deere one. People always compliments their cute ears 😄

Aweeee i love foxs
using the scrap yarn to make it multicoloured was such a good choice! it looks super cute!
It looks amazing!! Love the scrappy element, all the colors look lovely together. I might have to knit myself a balaclava now...
Just finished making my own! Fabulous tutorial ☺️❤️
Oh my goodness. I absolutely loved this! Thank you so much for the tutorial Bethany ❤️ I have been really struggling to make the beanie no 1 from my favourite things knitwear so I might frog that and try this instead! Thank you beautiful 🥰
I am a super beginner and I made this in 3 days! So happy to learn so many basic techniques (adding stitches, rib stitch, in the round, i cord etc.), and over the moon with how it turned out. Needed to find other tutorials about super basics for each (e.g. binding off i cord) but just wanted to say thanks!

this comment gave me the courage to start! I didn't really understand how she seemed to have boound off (without binding off) the top of the head piece, though, so if you know how she did that i'd be very happy to know. Now i just bound it off and picked up stitches everywhere, whereas she seemed to have been able to use the stitches she had on the separate needle (?) anywho, great tutorial so far
So cute and a great way to use up scrap yarn that is fun to do! Thanks!
Wow, I adore this! So trendy and practical for keeping warm! I really want to try it- thank you so much for sharing your process!
They certainly look cozy 🙂🙂 and your yarn looks so nice and warm!! I love the scrappy stripes💕
I free styled soooo many balaclavas with scrap yarn this winter also, love the icord finish on yours!! This is making me want to dig up my additional scrap yarn now 😆
That's so cute I love it. Definitely will keep you warm.
This is a great charitable knitting project!
I will absolutely be giving this a go! I've been thinking about making a balaclava/hood like this for ages, but somehow couldn't wrap my mind around this type of construction, which is also my favourite type of construction. Thank you for setting it out so simply, and I am way less intimidated now. Time to go stash diving!
This turned out so beautiful, can’t wait to try it out!
Immediately grabbed some scrap yarn and needles after watching this. Thanks for sharing! ✨
I think is awesome! And the color combination is perfect.
Thank you so much for this video. It was so inspiring for me! I was looking for a nice pattern but I couldn't find anything nice. So I made my own first balaclava with your video and it looks amaziiing. ❤️❤️❤️
AMAZING!!!! Love your color combo!!
Thank you. I was really hoping and looking forward to receiving instructions.. Really lovely and easy to make.
I bought my first pattern ever last week, and it was one of yours 🥰 so now I’m making V-neck vest and I’m having so much fun 🤩 , thank you ❤️
this tutorial is fabulous! will start one tonight! thank you!!!
This is insanely beautiful, the colors, the shape, the yarns, I'm in love 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
the most stunning color combo i've ever seen 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love a good scrappy yarn project! I don't really have the need for a balaclava for I do love the look!
Beautiful tutorial. Very inspiring for the "random" colorwork! Bellissimo
I love the way this looks!
Your Balaclava is absolutely beautiful.
Excellent tutorial for the construction! Thank you. Super cute colors 🎉btw.
Since I've discovered your channel I've been binge-watching all of your videos, I really appreciate your work and your passion for knitting! Love this tutorial as much as the others (I'm currently waiting for some skeins to be delivered in order to start your Sable Sweater) 🤩 Do you think you will make a tutorial for socks with circular needles in the future? I'm still a beginner, but I've watched you doing them and I'm veeeeery tempted! 🤓
Love this, the only thing I need to really concentrate on is the final edging.... thanks so much it looks great!
Knit one earlier in the fall. I walk my dog and some days are so cold. Wonderfully warm and I even add an extra hat when it is windy.
I wish this video existed before I knitted my own, I went with the same construction but the scrappy effect is so beautiful and now I want a balaclava like that 😅
This was such a fun knit, thank you ✨
I've never seen anyone push it back like a hoodie, and it's so cute, that's also my fave style of balaclava (have to make my own now!)
That sweater you’re wearing is gorgeous.
Bellissima balaklava e ottima tecnica di lavoro grazie😃!
omg i looooove this. thank you for posting the process. :)
I just made this thanks to your tutorial, thank you :D It's so comfy!
What a lovely balaclava 🧶😊
My main issue with balaclavas is the same as with scarves - having something up against my neck is really uncomfortable. That being said, that looks really nice, and makes me tempted even if I doubt I'd get much use 😅
Your Balaclava is stunning! It’s my favorite one!!!! I really love the colors and yarn you chose and enjoyed watching you make it. Thanks!

Thank you so much 💗
Looks great and simple to do. Thanks,
Inspiring! Hopefully next winter balaclavas are still 'in'
One question!!! How did you keep the stitches on the dpn but also cut off the working yarn?! When picking up stitches on the sides???
It looks super cute 😍
Love how it become like a hood, super cool.

Yes! My favorite part about it too :)
I love this pattern! really excited to try it out. Have you written out the instructions/needle and swatch size somewhere that we can access? having written instructions for knitting is one of the ways I can learn best.
It looks great!
So cute! I’m gonna make one too!
So cute! I love it
I am going to make this and attach it to my sweater collar! I was wondering how I put a hoody on it and this will work! TY 🤗💕 I will make a single one to wear with various coats too!
Thank you for a great and inspiring video!
Wow super!😍 thank you so much!!❤
Love it. ❤ soo trendy

I love it! I want to make one!
I had no idea these were trendy again :) I have pattern books from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s that include balaclavas. Yours looks stunning on you! One suggestion - instead of having the neck ribbing as one solid piece around, make it open with a few extra stitches and button hole. The button goes below and between the ear and front centre, or wherever you want it to be. That way, you don't have to pull the entire piece over your head (and hair!) to put it on or take it off. I love the way you finished it off! Way cool lady!

@@WellLovedKnits you’re welcome!!
Love the video! Also strangely well timed, this hat at least won't fly away with the storm going on in Belgium. I hope you're alright and it didn't bother you too much.
Love this SO much
Looks so cooooool!!!
Scrappy hat season is my favourite season 😌
super cool!!! thank you so much.
super cute!!
Super beau!!! Merci! 😉
Looove this
Love it!
I'm Team Scrap! 💕 I'd make chunky mittens to match
It is fabulous! Just what I have been looking for. Please do you have a written version of this pattern?
hahaha I literally clicked on the video because of that sweater :D You're so cute for addressing it.
This might actually convince me to do this. Winter in Scotland is never-ending so it’s not like I wouldn’t get use out of it. 🤔
Very nice and I like to try and I will thank
Omg i need this for when i use motorcycle taxis
She posted! Yay 🤗

Sooooo perrrrrrrttttyyyyy❤
I have knit on balaclava this winter and I love it. It is super warm and cute. Mine is caramel color :) suits my coat!
Loooove it!
Renkleri çok güzel birleştirdin, çok güzeldi.
Hey! Thanks so much for your video, your balaclava looks amazing! I am a beginner and still need to get used to knit with the circular needles, you said you used 6mm needles... but how big is the circle, like how long are the needles? Thanks!
Love this pattern so much!! How much yarn do you think I will need to make this?
So beautiful 😍😍👍🙋♀️
I love this! I found a good one and I just finished the crown, but I have a question. When you are going to pick up the stitches on the side do you do a slipknot first and then insert them into the stitches you're picking up? Or after?
hi, so nice! is there still the pattern somewhere to get or to purchase? :) would be amazing
What weight wool would work for a one type of yarn? Thank you i LOVE it
So that's easy like the crochet one
Omg baddie 💅 ✨
Can ou go into dept on how you connected the neck piece?
The balaclava turned out so nice! 😍I've been umming and ahhing whether to knit one up too. Maybe I'll just have to give it a shot! I thought it was interesting to use K2tog through the back look rather than the front loop, when you do the icord. Does this give a different effect?
@WellLovedKnits
2 жыл бұрын
Oh funny! I never tried it the other way. I figured working through the back loop was what helped the curl of the cord
@AlyssaL

I justtt made a balaclava using this video and accidentally k2tog through the front loop - it made these unintended "stitch-like" loops that are visible in the front!
So pretty!!! How long did it?
Blown alpaca blend yarn with kind of a fuzzy halo sounds like Kos from Sandnes Garn! Is that it? (only on my mind because I'm knitting with it right now and it looks the same!)
Soo cute. I’ve been really put off by memories of horrible itchy ones as a kid.. but maybe the answer is knit my own???

Yay ! 🧚♀️🙌🏾
Do you have information on your gorgeous knitting needles? I am so tired of bamboo.. they feel delicate.
Bethany, how many stitches did you cast on at the chin part of the ribbing, if any? I couldn’t tell in your photos. 🤗🧶 The balaclava combines hat, hood and cowl together-love it.
Hi! I usually work with straight needles but I can't find the perfect pattern to do the balaclava with them. Do you have any suggestions?
This seems so simple I might actually have to try it. Do you know how much yarn you use or at least how much you’ll need to make one?
