I LOVE BUCKET HATS 😍😍 I have crocheted several for each season by now. I like the structure of them - it just makes it a really nice statement piece for an outfit 😊 love your bouclé version ❤️

Such a cute hat. I'm just sitting here watching today. Im currently working on an oversized blanket scarf with burgundy chunky yarn. I may make a hat and long mitts to match. Your hat style would go together nicely with it. 😊❄️❄️

Aaah it's so cute! It's structured, I love it! I have a white fluffy bucket hat that I bought in second hand but you really inspire me to knit my own!

I am in love with this hat, as is my aunt. Bought your pattern and wool to knit it….oh my word, I’ve picked it up and started it 3 times, to frog it back 3 times, any tips for handling/finding the stitches in the fluffy boucle? It’s such a gorgeous wool but so testing to knit with, thanks for the video tutorial though

My eyes are very light sensitive so I wear hats everytime I leave the house. Most of the ones I have cover my bioptic, a special tool at the top of my glasses. I think a bucket hat will fix that problem as I can make the brim just wide enough to protect my eyes from light coming in the top of my glasses and not cover my bioptic. Thank you!

When you created the crown, did you pick up all the stitches to begin with or did you just use a certain number of stitches? My measurements are just like yours. How many rows of the crown did you knit before putting them on the tapestry needle?

Would this work if the band was knit in the round? Picking up sts would be a bit different, but I think that’s it!

I love how structured the bucket hat is! I’m not a fan of floppy hats so it looks so nice! Bouclé is definitely on trend too :) but I’m scared of drops selling out again 😭 so if I were to use a different yarn would that be like a worsted/Aran weight? Or DK? I’ll probably buy the pattern because I’m absolute trash at math & doing all the leg work myself 😅😅😭 thanks for the vid & pattern!

  • @asulisa9312

if you’re talking about the first panel she made, it’s because she used the circular needles to knit flat. she worked it longways, but you could certainly work it shortways in the round so that you don’t have to pick up stitches! i think she mostly did it that way to achieve the shape she got

Hey! That’s a bit thick for the needles recommended, so I think it would result in a looser fit on your head. You could try making some adjustments to the crown body in terms of rows knit.
