Idk how those would benefit you, but I know that if you use anything thicker than that you're greatly increasing your risk of serious and very horrible injury.
@BarbershopCustoms

Just make sure they're light and easily breakable gloves like the nithril ones. Just like @oddball002 said, the usual material gloves may cause an injury when caught by grinder.

Excuse the question, but did you dip the blade in the coffee? ..... maybe I have seen wrong .... however great job congratulations 👍👍👍
@BarbershopCustoms
Yes, coffee etch gives you much more contrasting pattern :)
The knife looks great I’m just worried about it’s stability when you where Forge welding it, it looked like the middle high carbonate steel dident want to weld to the softer steel hopefully there’s no delaminations hidden in the blade it’s nice tho
Is there a reason why u didn't do your bevels before you heat treated your blade?
Very good!!!....aprox..Rockwell C..?
i really tend to see how you used the hammer instead of using a power hammer.
whats the purpose of the powder early on?
👍👍👍
Wow, few first view! Why did you do heat treatment before making bevel?
@BarbershopCustoms

@BarbershopCustoms

@BarbershopCustoms
I don’t understand why some knife makers dip their blades into instant coffee. What does that do?
@BarbershopCustoms
It oxidizes the steel with a better contrast than e.g. ferric chloride
Ok
