Yeah these chinstrap screws are a serious pain in the butt. Admittedly, I'm having a bit of trouble with it - I need to torque the screwdriver so much that the leatherman gripping the other side slips. I'll get it someday, though =)

I never had an issue with mine, I used gentex h harness surplus take off and got team Wendy type padding, and norotos usgi surplus nvg shroud surplus lowering arm, my pasgt screws weren't an issue for me.

You sell these upgrade kits? I am replacing the crap suspension in my PASGT helmet and if this kit has every thing I'll bye it.

Ok so if i put one of these kits in my pasgt helmet will a cover still be able to be used?

It should if it just goes over the top of the helmet.

What the hell? Why not just rivet ballistic steel to the outside and make it level 3? That's a real upgrade

are you stupid, wearing steel on your head in this era this aint 1940 bud? you know how much heavier steel is too, not mention spalling can kill you; theres a reason why its composites and high density plastics these days

I'm gonna be using skydex upgrade padding in my next helmet my ACH I got, and since I like the gentex h harness I have two, plus a 3 hole norotos shroud for my nvg, will be getting arc rails as well.

I saw the the ECH has NIJ level III rating, so it SHOULD stop up to a .308.

@@charleswatson332 Level IIIA, maybe? Kevlar (generally? always?) does not surpass IIIA, which stops pistol caliber threats up to, mmm, 1300 FPS I think? Level III, however, is for standard rifle threats. So IIIA = pistol, III = rifle.

Negative!!!... Kevlar ballistic helmets are usually Level IIIA!!.. For shrapnel/ and pistol calibers up to 44mag.... some ech's are level III, FOR COMBAT USE,.. not sure if civilian purchase is allowed/.. Depending on what certain credentials are?..most likely quite expensive.... I most definitely could be wrong?... i do have a level IIIA MICH, that provides what I need,..also have a level III+ upper cap/..attachable if need be.... helmet will be heavy, so have the proper rear weights to compensate... even with nvg setups!... no matter what,..make sure shits comfy for long missions or what not!

The straps are glued to the helmet? Or the bolts holding the straps are glued? You can take a heat gun to it and that will loosin up glue you can get one at harbor freight for cheap or you can use a hair dryer do it out side and wear a mask fumes might make you sick.

this sucks. My M4 bolts are all rusted to hell I can't remove them. On top of that my chin strap bolts are larger then the old rusted shit.
