I'm gonna be using skydex upgrade padding in my next helmet my ACH I got, and since I like the gentex h harness I have two, plus a 3 hole norotos shroud for my nvg, will be getting arc rails as well.

I mean, personally I prefer the 2 point strap and suspension, I find it more comfortable than the Helmet pads as the Pads get itchy after awhile. Interesting video Series nonetheless.

What are your hearing protection options with these types of helmets ? This Helmet you got here is like the one I picked up- it's got the rounded protrusions covering your ears... however, with some of the high cut helmets I've seen, you can put the accessory rails on and attach hearing protection to the rail. Would it make sense to put rails on this type of helmet?

The straps are glued to the helmet? Or the bolts holding the straps are glued? You can take a heat gun to it and that will loosin up glue you can get one at harbor freight for cheap or you can use a hair dryer do it out side and wear a mask fumes might make you sick.

Yeah these chinstrap screws are a serious pain in the butt. Admittedly, I'm having a bit of trouble with it - I need to torque the screwdriver so much that the leatherman gripping the other side slips. I'll get it someday, though =)

I know that Kipplaufbüchsen (and single Shot Rifles) are not very popular in the US. But a Blaser K 95 is precise, light and a reliable Companion when you are out there Hunting !

this sucks. My M4 bolts are all rusted to hell I can't remove them. On top of that my chin strap bolts are larger then the old rusted shit.

I did this upgrade to my 87 PASGT. This is an easy upgrade to do. The video takes longer and it is well done showing us the steps. GOOD JOB... These 3 videos gave me the incentive to do the upgrade. After doing the upgrade I'm up in the air about which system is better. Pads or Headband. Chances of any of us being involved in anything that will involve such protection is slim to none. Yet, always good to be prepared. I have both a ACH Helmet with pads and this PASGT with pads (same pad system) and they both feel different on the head. ACH Feels better. The Marines liked the PASGT style brim, but they added it to the ACH design. Before you go all out buying pads, Velcro and all the other stuff, May I suggest you do it item at a time. To see what you like. You will be buying them anyway if you go all out. If I was to do it again. I would first replace the 2 point strap with the 4 point. (Though nice, don't get the Marine 4 point light weight strap. Trust me. Fits, But not made for this helmet design and your head. It leave no room to make it bigger/longer if you eventually pad up the helmet. Pads raise the helmet higher on your head than the headband, thus making a strap that extends longer needed.) The chin strap is a lot that is wrong with the helmet. If you like the 4 point with the head band, get a better padded headband for a better feel. If not, than you can go out and buy the other stuff. You don't need to buy an inner strap. The existing one is fine. Just cut away the webbing from it at the stitching and you can reuse it. Why buy something that is already there and is the same.

actually the designation "BBF" doesn't make sense, because over here in Germany BBF means "Bock-Büchs-Flinte" which is an over-under rifle with a shotgun barrel and a rifled barrel. This should be a BDB "Bock-Doppel-Büchse" beacuse it has two rifled barrels in an over-under configuration

it's actually sold as a BB97, but you can get centrefire barrels for the BBF97.
