Ah yes, Kevin Sorbo, the world renowned expert on gender identity. I'm sure he has loads of education on what it means to be trans, the likely causes of it (including the biological links we now know exist), and has read at least a few dozen of the thousands of peer reviewed studies produced on the topic in the past few decades. I'm sure that's why these media outlets are interviewing Sorbo and publishing his opinion, rather than rely on the expertise of literally every major medical organization in the country, all of whom agree that being transgender is a real thing which is best addressed via various forms of gender affirming care. I'm sure that's the case... just as I'm sure the world is flat, Trump is honest, and forest fires are caused by Jewish space lasers. Makes perfect sense to me. 🙄🤮

Carl Sagan Sort Of Predicted The Rise Of Donald Trump 25 Years Ago. Well, it turns out that the late astronomer Carl Sagan may have predicted this era of distrust in authority figures - of sorts. As a number of people have picked up online, Sagan made an eerie prediction in his 1995 book The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark that seems to echo the events of the past year. Here’s the quote in full: “Science is more than a body of knowledge; it is a way of thinking. I have a foreboding of an America in my children’s or grandchildren’s time - when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the key manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what’s true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness.” Sound familiar? Thought so. In addition to this, Sagan also made some similar comments (around the 3.50 mark in that link) in an interview with Carlie Rose in 1996: “Science is more than a body of knowledge. It’s a way of thinking. A way of skeptically interrogating the universe with a fine understanding of human fallibility. If we are not able to ask skeptical questions, to interrogate those who tell us something is true, to be skeptical of those in authority, then we’re up for grabs for the next charlatan, political or religious, who comes ambling along.”

I did not get into that series, nor did I watch "Xena, the Warrior Princes" other than an episode or two. Much more likely to schedule "Star Trek, the Next Generation" back then. Herakles was beset by a malevolent deity, a much more realistic version of god than the one imagined by monotheists. That Jewish deity in the Old Testament was a rather evil character, however. I did not know much about the Ancients until fairly recently. If I have the time, Sorbo as Hercules might be worth checking out, as well as Xena.

And just a few of the key words on this movie in IMDB: Female frontal nudity, man carries a topless woman upside down, topless blind woman, sex on a kitchen counter... and then Sorbo thinks he can teach morality? I guess like Boebert and Candice Cameron, as long as it's not gay sex, you can do what you want... Their careers were not helped when stories they spread about Biden and BLM turned out to be fake. Then they were uninvited from a couple of gigs because they are openly transphobic, but they are bouncing back with sponsorship and merch sales. Personally, I think they are turds.

Here is an actually great children's book authored by a celebrity: A Chocolate Moose for Dinner, written and illustrated by Fred Gwynne. Look it up. Fantastic word play and art! I loved this book as a kid, and only recently realized it was Fred Gwynne who wrote AND illustrated it! Real talent.

I loved Hercules the Legendary Journeys as a kid and have seen Sorbo in a movie or two and liked him as an actor .. but finding out what he's really like? It was a horrible disappointment and I've lost any respect I had for him and avoid him like the plague now. I hope the idiocy is worth it to him.

Now I will be honest. I liked Xena Warrior Princess More than Hercules. Xena was really tough and I like that. Secondly: I didn't really mind him in Andromeda. That was actually an intresting idea from the creator of Star Trek. That said, Kevin Sorbo is an idiot.

My stepmother who was a teacher made me read the first Baron Trump book. It was so depressing, i couldn't read the other ones. She wasn't mad at me, only thought I would get a thrill from the wild fantasy elements. A few years ago I tried reading the second one, but no dice.

Wasn’t Hercules famously in love with Hylas? So much so that he quit the Ship of Heros (the Argo, the first vessel to have a name) because Hylas went missing? One of the icons of being a great hero and being gay.

So when do we think James Caviezel will come out with a book for kids after his "movie"? That was a guy i enjoyed as an actor on Person of Interest but after the oast few years of his beliefs I now understand why the show went the way it did and why he was passed up for SEAL Team at the last minute.
