I was 6 when the preacher told me I would have to marry or I would go to hell. That all girls were born in sin and only through marriage and giving birth to kids could we be saved. I'm 48... never married, never had kids... no longer afraid of burning in hell.

We’re we dragged to the same Sunday school as kids? I grew up loathing Sundays for the exact same reason-having to waste perfectly good mornings trapped in a church basement classroom being expected to blindly swallow the day’s lesson No Matter What, and knowing that I was going to get into hot water AGAIN for questioning the teacher or disagreeing with the lesson. And when I started reading other cultures’ myths and legends and discovering that other religions respected nature, saw women as equals, had Goddesses as well as Gods, and said that other living creatures had spirits too, oh brother! Cracks in the wall became rifts between me and Christianity, and at age 14 after years of that and fighting with my mother about Sunday school and Christianity, I was FINALLY allowed to “quituate” and I never looked back! I found Wicca in college, and it was like having the missing pieces of a puzzle I’d been trying to solve suddenly land in my lap! I’ve been following the Eclectic path since then, and while being a solitary practitioner can be lonely at times, it’s far more rewarding and “home” to me than Christianity ever was! There are only three reasons I’ll set foot into a monotheistic house of worship now-a wedding, a funeral, or a fire call!

Dear, just like you there are some people very anxious to have answers for their questions so they started investigating and exploring in this way they have learnt the reasons for the existence of sun , moon , sky and various things of God's creation or as you believe nature. Your grandmother need not know the scientific reason for this. And God need not explain every person why things are in the way they are. He just gave us sound knowledge and wisdom to explore them. These are special people with special reasoning skills, Analytical skill, etc with great IQ levels. These people are scientists, explorers, Scholors, philosophers etc, etc... Whatever scientific version your step dad explained to you had been created by God and made known to us by the special knowledge given to the people who discovered them. If God created the sky there should be something He had used to create it , right! If you want to make a doll you need some raw material. If want to prepare coffee you need some ingredients. God also created things with combination of substances. He is God He himself created the substances too. Can we make anything out of nothing? We cannot but God can. Bible says God made man out of earth(clay) yes I believe it is true because whatever substance you find in the earth /clay/mud you find it inyou body. Potassium, magnesium, zinc, iron, etc. This is upto my knowledge. Thank you

Fun fact #1: There is no physical way to actually tell is someone is a virgin or not. Fun fact #2: Not all women are born with a hymen. For some women, the hymen breaks from smth as simple as doing the spilts to not even breaking from penetration. The ONLY reason an infant girl has a hymen is to prevent infection. And these two “fun facts” are things I’ve known my entire life because my parents prefer to educate me with facts than feed me fantasy stories from a book that’s 1000s of years old.

I learned a couple years ago that the hymen is not even a complete barrier. It is a stretchable membrane that may tear if something too large is forced in quickly before it has been stretched -- and it will unstretch if it goes without being stretched for quite a while. Harry ,Just Harry No Christianity believes God (The Son) became a man (Jesus) and ultimately paid the price for all our sins through his suffering and death upon the cross. He was resurrected back into his spiritual body, spent 40 days on earth with his disciples and others then ascended back into heaven. This is why we Christians as he instructs us in the gospels repent and accept him as our savior. God is perfect and he will judge by perfection. There is not one man who can do enough good works on earth to justify his entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven. It is only by grace through faith of truly understanding that Jesus paid the price of our sins, and repenting turning away from sin and striving everyday in our walk with God to try and become more like Christ. Thats a summary of a lot. And you really need to read the gospels to truly understand it all. I’m perfectly happy though answering any questions you have.

My grandmother was the most religious person in the family. She went to church every Sunday, taught Bible school, had us go to church every Sunday, got her children baptized etc. Yet, she was the most abusive person in the family. My grandfather was kicked out of the church because he would not stop dancing and going to clubs. When he was young, they told him he had to make a choice. He chose to leave the church and he never looked back. He is the most beloved family member, by far. It all boiled down to their treatment of others. Whether they showed compassion and love for others - not whether or not they were religious or attended church.

You understand that entrance to Heaven is not based on who you are as a person, but your belief & that is what that pastor is saying God is like a King/Dictator - the King/Dictator doesn't care what kind of a person you are, your most important quality is your belief - loyalty - and that trumps everything The king/Dictator will allow a criminal, a killer or rapist to remain in his kingdom - in fact might prefer them because then he can make use of them - we know that Putin and Kim Jong-un have death squads working for them But a good person who speaks up will be lucky to get out with his life That is the "God" in these religions According to them Heaven is only for believers - ALL unbelievers end up in Hell - that is the criteria - Belief! So Atheist & Hindu doctors, soldiers who gave their lives fighting to save others will end up in hell while pedophiles, mass murderers of the cloth will gain heaven

That's what makes this so freaky! The same two questions asked repeatedly 1. Will we be happy? 2. Will we see our loved ones again? Not tough questions like 1. What work would be available? And how much does it pay? 2. What about our loved ones down on earth? If I am the breadwinner and I die, how will my family get on without me? 3. What is the purpose of life in Heaven? They don't ask such questions because religious people have no clue - these people are pushing a Ponzi-scheme called Heaven - cheap easy promises of the wonderful life to be had just by kissing the right butt, "God" is just like Putin or Kim Jong-un, will nicely reward his loyal supporters - and the media and the educated, the moral and the philosopher are ALL complicit in this, their hands covered with blood So what if a few Atheists and Gays, lesbians are raped and killed? I grew up on the edge of religion, mostly overwhelmed with the fear of an eternity of burning as I was told at 8 yrs old. I went to a catholic high school, because they had a good curriculum past religion. In my religious studies class, though, I would ask “hard hitting” questions, to the point my teacher yelled at me saying “look if you don’t believe in this then fine, but you are not going to come and try to destroy my class with irrelevant questions.” I was merely asking because I wanted to see ALL perspectives. That day I asked about hypocrisy and that day I officially denounced religion and started meditation studies on my own. They don’t like looking at their reflections. Also, 2 yrs after I graduated, it turned out our main priest who everyone put on the pedestal was caught molesting the middle schoolers and freshman HS kids. It was an all boys school.

If you subtract Islamic wars from the equation, only 3.2 percent of wars were due to specifically Christian causes. That means that over 96 percent of all the wars on this planet were due to worldly reasons. I came across a story of a little girl who was raped and i overheard a random person say that "all of Gods chosen people are supposed to suffer as it was his plan." Another issue was that one of my close friends is a lesbian, and despite being a decent person, my parents badmouthed her saying that she'll go to hell because she has a different sexual preferences As if that wasnt enough, a video came up of someone who passed away(i cant remember the person's name). One comment asked how she passed on and i explained that it was suicide, then some random comment popped up and said,"she will go to hell." I told them off saying that the deceased person was suffering and they had the audacity to say," they dont care. She should have repented to God instead of commiting suicide, which is a damnable sin." That was my breaking point.

My argument to religious people saying atheists were bad was always to ask them this: "According to Your religion, what is the Worst thing that can happen to a person? The person is born, what is the worst thing?" Weirdly, every Christian and Muslim I've asked, so far about 40 people from different areas, have All answered, "they could be murdered." And I would correct them. Tell them that according to their Own beliefs, the worst thing that could happen to anyone is that they end up in hell. But that isn't what they come up with. Then I ask if hell is worse than being murdered etc. and they say yes. Then I ask why they call other people bad when they can take a baby, a child, a pediatrician etc and firmly believe they will burn forever in a pit of fire, and be okay with that belief.

As much as pastors will say "that's what the Bible says, not me," they still interpret Scripture their own way.

if you say the Jews killed Jesus, that can be interpreted as an anti-Semitic statement. Of course, the Romans crucified all those who resisted the Roman state power. King Herod and the entire Jewish priesthood could not impose a death sentence without the consent of the Romans. Jesus was killed because one did not find in him the messenger of God Messiah recognized. The priests feared a division of religion and church, so the cause had to be cleared out of the way. If Jesus is the Messiah or not. Is still hotly contested today. The tradition describes in detail the circumstances that led to the condemnation. The theological interpretation is made primarily on the basis of the prophecies of the prophet Isaiah. The Messiah will have to suffer and will be killed.

But as I got older, I started to question its dogma, particularly how ableist a lot of its sermons and Bible stories were (I'm visually impaired, have been since birth). Secondly, as I started researching other religions, I found Wicca and it was like a homecoming. @@RoyRage666 Scotland had so many sectarian conflicts between Roman Catholics and protestants. I think people started to see religion as just a source of trouble. Also, the vast majority of Scots prize science. Creationism is regarded as extremist, anyone advocating creationism is viewed as odd. Home schooling isn't really an issue here either with only 0.01% Home schooled and even then the parents have to show they have a structure and are capable of delivering a good education. Wherexi live there are no Sunday schools. In the main church congregations are elderly. I'm 61 and if I went to ny local church it would be because I'd feel young compared to the rest if the congregation. While people don't go to church if asked about God there would still be many who would be non committal, they don't dismiss the possibility but they certainly don't accept the Judeo/Christian God. They view the bible as myths told by bronze age men. But no one is against Christians. You can say your an athiest or say your a Christian, no one cares either way. What is very much frowned on is religion imposing their morality. Politicians don't talk about God. Nor do they ever look to the bible when creating new laws. They refer to science and philosophy. That's why we can have strict gun laws. People don't view everything as being a right. Because politicians never refer to biblical laws rights aren't seen as God given but as something natural to humans. The guiding principle would ve if a law would make society better without infringing on people's freedoms. So everyone has the right to beleive in whatever God or God's they like. What they don't have is the right to impose their beliefs on others or have laws created that would allow them to discriminate based on their belief. So a buisness open to the public can't refuse to serve someone because they gave a characteristic that the owners religion opposes. That is accepted by 99% of Scots. Its only on the religious fringes that its not accepted. The evangelicals of the USA are viewed as extremists over here and that type of Christianity is rare over here. Maybe the Christian religion has 0% influence on your life in Sweden NOW. But whatever you are now is the result of centuries of Christian education and Christian values your forefathers were brought up in. Numerous books have been written how the teachings of Jesus revolutionised the old world. There is nothing wrong with Christianity. What went went wrong was that throughout history the wrong type of people got into the Christian leadership and distorted and destroyed Christian values. In Sunday school we were taught about Cain killing Abel and being cast from the Garden of Eden for that horrible act. This was reinforced by reading the actual passage from the bible and i heard that Cain went to live with the “others”. Wait...what? Others? I asked my pastor who were these others and he told me that was Satan creating doubt in me. His advice was to not let Satan into my heart. He scared me a lot as a curious 10 year old. It wasn’t until much later i recognized it as a diversion because he didn’t know the answer and was just trying to shut me up. He would have done far less damage to the church if he admitted he didn’t know. It was also the turning point for me in realizing the many times leaders in the christian faith were just making shit up and spouting it out as truth. It started feeling a lot like a scam and I was seeing the man behind the curtain.

You seriously had a very unknowledgeable teacher or pastor those questions are very easily answered with some bible study, just because you have a question that this man can't answer doesn't mean you throw everything away, to answer your question about the others for example Gen 5:4 4The days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years; and he had other sons and daughters. So Cain’s wife was his sister (or perhaps his niece) and that in the early days of humanity, marriage between brothers and sisters was both necessary and genetically safe.

I think politically, the focus should be on reducing the need for abortions instead of outlawing them. comprehensive sex-ed and access to effective birth-control can go along way in reducing the number of unplanned pregnancies.

@Brendan Del Basso Abortion and slavery are two completely different issues. I think that you missed my point. I'm talking about reducing the demand for abortion, by decreasing unplanned pregnancies, not reducing the supply, by making it difficult to get the procedure. Whenever there is more demand for a good or service than supply, a black market will develop. That is basic economics and human nature. Back-ally abortions will be much more dangerous for everyone involved. Also, in areas when the procedure is illegal it is not unheard of that women who've miscarried get charged with having an abortion and are imprisoned. Did you know that 15-25% of recognized pregnancies end in miscarriage? I don't want to add to the trauma of any women who's gone through a pregnancy loss, the possibility that she could be accused of murder. Interesting that you brought up slavery, considering that many slave owners used the Bible as justification that the practice was sanctioned by God. Slavery is not forbidden in the Bible. If man is made in God's image, wouldn't it be a grave sin to own another human as you would property? We don't need religion to tell us that slavery is abhorrent.

  • @rvoight92

@Brendan Del Basso The moral values in the Bible aren't 100% objective. There is a lot of cultural influence. there are way too many directives to name but one example from the Apostle Paul is 1 Cor 11:14 "Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him". Does God so much about how people wear their hair? Is that an objective moral? Having a long list of specific "does and don't" is not ideal when you come a across a new ethical situation. The Golden Rule (which is not unique to Christianity) is superior to the Ten Commandments because it allows for that flexibility. That is a moot point. Because at that time the U.S. was almost exclusively Christian, with a handful of deists and agnostics. I do find it interesting that Abolitionism didn't gain traction until the Enlightenment though. If God detests slavery so much, why didn't he didn't he forbid the practice? If God's law objective and not effected by culture, why is slavery allowed in the Bible? Both the old and new testament. Not practicing slavery would have really made the Israelite's stand out in comparison to neighboring cultures. Why did it take Christian's almost two millennia to realize that slavery is wrong? If the Bible is full of objective morals, those morals shouldn't change over the centuries.

You have faith that your age is what it actually is right? If you are sick you have faith the doctors will prescribe you the correct medication and make you well? People have faith that there is no God right? People have Faith there is one true God and people have Faith there is or is not Jesus right? Our entire lives is based around having Faith. I have 100% Faith that God is my savior. I have seen all sorts of areas in the United States in its beauty and been blessed to visit other countries seeing its beauty. October 2020 i was seeing a very hardcore Christian guy that my close friend introduced me to, keep in mind i was very hesitant on giving a new guy a chance because i’ve been hurt in the past by confusing guys who weren’t ready to commit to me prior before to meeting this Christian religious immature boy. My friend at the time kept convincing me to take a chance on him and even promised me that he wasn’t going to hurt me but he did at the end. Long story short i took my friend’s word for it and i took a chance on her guy friend. Obviously me and this new guy i was seeing were pretty great in the beginning but a month or two later he told me he was waiting on specific signs and deadlines from God to see if i was the one or not for him since he was hurt in the past and wants to find his wife. I was started to lose hope relationship wise. I was a new Christian and still am but i was kinda caught off guard with the guy waiting on specific signs and deadlines from God to see if i was the one or not for him. I was honest with him and told him how come he doesn’t make his own personal choice since God gives us that free choice. He still was persistent on doing the sign bullshit thing. I left it alone for awhile and had low expectations from that and tried to keep things as a friendship. Well months went by I was building resentment towards my guy and in January 2021, he basically said he had big good news to say which really wasn’t tbh, basically he said that he wanted to postpone dating for a year. At that point i clearly felt more discouraged and frusterated with him more and more as time went on. I even told him i was upset about it and again he was persistent on waiting on God (i shouldn’t have ignored the red flags). Just recently which was two weeks ago, i asked him if we could hangout one-on-one as FRIENDS to get to know eachother better since we’ve all hungout in groups, we should also hangout one-on-one to see where our friendship grows into. He didn’t think it was a good idea because he didn’t want our feelings to be more invested than we already are, i told him that we needed to separate our feelings versus a friendship to get to know eachother as people and as friends since we’ve only hungout in groups. He still didn’t think it was a good idea and says he will ask God when and where we could hangout. At that point i was fed up with him, and said if that’s how he feels then i guess do it. At that point i vented to our mutual friend and asked her how come she introduced me to this complicated guy because relationship and friendship wise it was all too much. I basically needed space from both of them but mostly him and my friend took my words to heart and didn’t wanna be friends anymore after that. That guy i was seeing ended up telling me i wasn’t the “one” for him and that God gave him 6 signs that prove i wasn’t the “one”. Keep in mind that this guy was so immature and caused me nothing but pain and stress within these 6 months for nothing. One of his signs from God was complete bullcrap, he then says there’s this chinese lady (keep in mind that he doesn’t know this lady personally) but someone from our church knows this lady, my guy asked God if this chinese lady is still single by december 2020, then that was the first sign that means I wasn’t the “one” for him. All these consistent stupid excuses one after another, i even asked him why did you even pursue me in the first place and clearly it showed you weren’t ready. I knew in my gut feeling that he was too much for me and he wasn’t my type to begin with either but i cared about him and took a real chance on someone. I bet you that nobody would’ve waited as much as i did for a guy to be this complicated and immature. I understand God is a big part of our lives but this guy took it to the extreme. Relationship wise, i kept my expectations low as he was showing his true colors, friendship wise i couldn’t believe that he felt the need to ask God when and where we could hangout when i sincerely want to at least be his friend. He did some other shit i didn’t like and it costed me and my friend’s friendship to end. Me and my friend never had issues or fought prior to her introducing me to this immature religious freak. I knew in my gut that was the main thing i was afraid of, taking a chance on her guy friend and what if things went wrong and could destroy my friendship which it did. But it comes to show how people show their true colors. I never went off on this religious dude i was seeing, he went off on me a few times, showed so many red flags, clearly wasn’t ready for anything serious, he would call me twice a day and text me everyday too, my friend always being put in the middle because she introduced me to him, my friend did shady shit too like whenever i would vent to her about stuff or about the guy... she would send him my personal messages that was only for her to read. I felt betrayed, depressed, angry and irritated all in one by those two. They would play the victim card also. I haven’t gone back to church since that situation a few weeks ago. I know im not perfect and i’ve made mistakes but it was no where close to them doing me dirty at the end especially mostly the guy i dated. Even after all of that i went to bible study a week ago to return my ex friend’s mask that she left in my car awhile back ago, i wanted to be a good person despite them doing me wrong. I think that will be my last bible study session for me to go to since now i don’t feel comfortable going back again. I know i should worship God despite what happened but in all honesty, i would rather preach alone than to go somewhere where i feel uncomfortable seeing my “ex” and my ex friend. That guy truly lost me because no girl probably would’ve wasted that much time and bullshit on someone that is too radical and always asking for God on every little thing to the extreme. Keep in mind, I’m a Christian, I believe in signs but when i received signs from God (which i have received signs from God personally) i never once asked God to send me a sign on a specific deadline or anything. You can’t force God for your own benefits. God gives us what He can give us, and again He also gives us a free choice in our lives. There’s a fine line between being reasonable and being too radical. I learned a valuable lesson from all this bullshit from guys and im still healing from this. Honestly i don’t know if i’ll ever want to date again since its alot harder for me to give a new person a chance if the opportunity ever presented itself again Two months ago he apologized but i never responded and i’ve kept ignoring him and kept my distance from him at bible studies. I haven’t gone back to my church for a month now because of this situation that made it uncomfortable for me to want to go back to my church. My ex friend that introduced me to him was rude to me and said some harsh things that didn’t even make sense even after the fact she did me dirty and i even tried making amends in the relationship and put her in her place after receiving that shady rude message of hers. Definitely a lesson learned My “ex” was definitely immature and not committed after seeing the red flags and all the things he did to me. Even my friends asked if my ex friend was in love with him because she dropped me as a friend even when he did shit to me and ruined our friendship. Dating is shit period.

I think I am reasonably intelligent. Like many highly intelligent people I am smart enough to know that I don’t know everything so I can’t definitely say there is no God. My analysis of the evidence indicates that God’s existence can be definitively proved or disproved but the evidence strongly leans towards a likelihood of God existing and the evidence for Jesus being more likely than anyone else to be able to explain what God is like. CS Lewis, one of the most brilliant scholars of the 20th century and initially an atheist, decided the evidence for Christianity was too strong and the intellectual support for his atheism was too weak. It is possible to be an intelligent atheist, so long as you admit you might be wrong, but more possible to be an intelligent Christian (so Long as I admit most churches do not follow the teachings of Christ). Neither the evidence for God’s existence nor that for God’s non-existence is strong enough to discount the alternative.

My ex that i dated was a jesus freak. I’m still a Christian but not to that extreme to not allow myself to make my own personal choices like my ex fucking did. Seriously my ex was extreme, read my whole message on why he was crazy

Let's see, off of the top of my head, we have: Global Economy. Cashless economic ability. Implantable devices that can track all human activity. Talking images. Iron plated beasts that sound like locusts. Wars and rumors of wars. Earthquakes in diverse places. Pestilence, disease and famine. The Harlot of Babylon and the dragon devouring its children. (USA,China) And of course you have the apostasy, or the falling away from Christendom and the push of the Antichrist. Of course this is all going on during a time of dispute over the location of the temple Mound because of the preparations of rebuilding. We have a known near-earth asteroid that will be seen in 2029, April 13th and comes back exactly 7 years later with a high degree of chance of hitting the Earth in 2036, April 13th, both days are Friday. Sounds like tribulation to me. And of course this brings us to the army of 200 million to bring about the destruction of 1/3 the population of planet Earth. That process is already going on now on various social medias. Welcome to the battle of Armageddon. You are a tool in the hand of God. Now go back to sleep.

Vladimir Lenin (1870-1924) a.k.a. Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov Atheist leader of Communist Russia (and the Soviet Union), as well as founder of the Bolshevik party. After overthrowing the Russian King (known as the "tsar") and murdering his entire family, he institued a campaign of mass killings and torture called the "Red Terror," which killed around 50,000 to 500,000 people. He also executed 14,000 to 20,000 priests for their disagreements with Bolshevism. Later, he seized food from peasants all over the country, which worsened the Russian Famine of 1921 that ended up killing 5 million people. He explained that this was a good thing, saying, "Famine would also destroy faith not only in the tsar, but in God too." Leon Czolgosz (1873-1901) Atheist assassin who shot and killed the President of the United States, namely, William McKinley. Notably, he claimed to be inspired by atheist philosopher Emma Goldman, who publically defended his actions. Felix Dzerzhinsky (1877-1926) a.k.a. "The Iron Felix" Atheist Director of the Cheka (the Bolshevik secret police), which executed 250,000 to 300,000 people during the Communist Revolution in Russia. He said, "We stand for organised terror - this should be frankly admitted. Terror is an absolute necessity during times of revolution." Plutarco Elías Calles (1877-1945) President of Mexico and Atheist who forcibly shut down multiple religious schools, monasteries, and convents, as well as confiscated large amounts of Church property. His policies ended up killing up to 4,000 priests, depriving 17 Mexican states of priests entirely. (In reaction to his vehement anti-religious policies, the people of Mexico fought back in the "Cristero War," which they eventually won) Yemelyan Mikhailovich Yaroslavsky (1878-1943) a.k.a. Minei Izrailevich Gubelman Leader of the "League of the Militant Atheists" (a.k.a. "The Society of the Godless"), which not only destroyed 6,000 historical buildings (mostly churches and monasteries) but aided the Soviet government in exterminating Christian clergy and other religious groups, reducing their number from about 50,000 to only 1,000 in Russia through executions and condemnation to Russia's famous prison camps known as the "Gulags" (where they would overwhelmingly die from starvation and disease).

I do not recall ever having any part of that be religious except for santa and the bunny, and I never believed in either even as a toddler. The closest I came to religion was the ancient Greek and Norse pantheon. I loved the stories and talked to those gods a few times around 6 to 11 yrs. My parents always said I was free to believe whatever I wanted. I have met good priests, rabbis, ministers, and among congregants muslims, hindus and Buddhists. I have attended mass, sunday services and sedar all by invitation. I enjoy traditions thousands of years old. Ive visited a shinto shrine. But traditions are not religion and as an American my only 'belief is that None of that should be forced on anyone else. Every human is born with a free, inquisitive, mind. The "tradition" part you mentioned is right on. Frankly, I think Christianity in America was always at least as much of a secular cultural thing as a religious thing. People who didn't like "modern" culture knew they could always go to church for relief, because there they knew they'd get to drink in all the "traditional" stuff: ministers in old-fashioned black robes, stained-glass windows, organ music, ladies wearing hats and gloves, Sunday picnics on gingham blankets, and non-sleazy carnivals whose booths were run by their friends and neighbors. It didn't matter whether these people lived up to all the moral tenets or even believed what they claimed to believe, because on a cultural level Christianity could be taken as simply a form of nostalgic escapism. Well, that's not true anymore. Plenty of churches today have gotten "hip" and even "woke," with folding chairs instead of pews, hippie-looking young people playing guitars (not to mention hippie-looking pastors), "multicultural" touches in the liturgy, and sometimes even cautious pro-LGBT sentiment. Hell, even the "conservative" churches often have congregations that look like a bunch of California slackers. Why, think some people, would they want to go somewhere to get lectured and bored out of their minds for a full hour (or more) once each busy week when there's no longer any "nostalgia porn" as a compensating fringe benefit?

In my old congregation, there was a repetitive theme that we should only associate ourselves with fellow believers. All others were, obviously, serving the "devil." Therefore, anyone outside of the religion would lead us to Hell. Brainwashing 101.

That is frightening - so basically they are saying morals, values do not matter, who we are as people does not matter. Einstein almost ended up in gas chambers because here again the Nazis didn't care for him as a person, all they saw was a Jew We see the same mentality here And these are the top religions of the day! So much for our intelligence, education and morality

I was told openly, by an African-American no less, that God doesn't care for who I am as a person, all that matters is belief! Amazing! when I said that is exactly what Racists say, substitute belief for skin color, he kept quiet! I still don't think I convinced him! Amazing that a black man is willing to discriminate and embrace Racist ideas when it comes to religion! So much for all the tall talk of Black lives matter, equality for all and that stuff All big phonies Talk of morals and values while with the other side of the mouth push religion and "works are not enough" That's like saying you need X qualifications for this job but you also need to be white or a male For a black or a female those X qualifications go from "not enough" to "don't matter"

@@ramaraksha01 I agree. I began questioning because it got to the point where all I saw was just HATE. Yea, the fact that character and actions (except 1) determine nothing ate at me, too. How is that godly? My puny human-brain can clearly see flaws and something-not-so-godly about that. All that matters is belief so that you'll be so afraid of questioning (or thinking for yourself) that you never will. Honestly, I can stomach only bits of this stuff at a time. It's something I need to explore again, from the outside (I guess). But it disturbs me nowadays, on so many levels.

Amazing that the very same people if you change the word God to Putin or Kim Jong-un will call such a person pure scum but use the word God and suddenly even the brightest nod in agreement! it is like how things get done in Corrupt countries - if everyone gets a fair shot then the corrupt guy is out of business To say, God treats everyone equally, we are defined by who we are as people, belief does not matter would mean religions would lose control And so they use Corrupt methods! In Free societies! With all these educated &intelligent people hearing this, reading this! Oh yes and the moral as well! And they too can't see anything! Just wow! I used to be Mormon and one of the girls in my church came out as bi. Her family was luckily very nice, but when she came out to the church and only a few people were nice to her. My foster sister (who was lesbian) said that in the Young women's session they talked about same-sex marriage and how it was gross. The girl walked out of the church and never went again. When I heard that had happened I decided to never come out to the church. I was terrified I'd lose everything.

I see a Nazi Germany like situation where families are set apart based on religion and sent off to be burned in gas chambers in hell And these are the top 2 religions of the 21st century So much for our education, intelligence and morality
