Who would have thought that it would end with a walk off home run? Couldn't have asked for a better ending none other than that. A very exciting and entertaining game both the Yankees and White Sox put on display in the Field of Dreams game in Iowa.

@@metzilla Very much so. The only negative was the average cost for a ticket, apparently, was $3000, keeping the everyday fan away. But, it was a very unique event, so it is expected I guess.

For everything Major League Baseball has gotten wrong the last 30 or 40 years, they got this so right please please please play a game here every year. Remember playing catch with my dad years ago and how much I love the game and the Love of the Game that was instilled in me. This brought back a flood of memories. Last night's game truly did remind us of all that was great and could be again

I never want them to play another game on this field. Let this games memory be it for Iowa. MLB should build a field in Alaska or South Dakota with Mt Rushmore in the background or New Mexico or Idaho or Maine. MLB can do something magical every 5 years.

@@Anthony-uf3oz 9 months a go Andy, you said the correct words. But I do not think this event should be held yearly, it would tarnish this event. FOX put on a good show but it would become just average if we played this game every year! Sox and Yankees were great for baseball.

I didn't grow up with baseball so I can't imagine what this moment must be for people who did. But what a powerful and emotional moment that really moved me. I will remember this always and will come back for a visit sometimes as well. Just magic.

This was the best thing baseball could've done. I got teary-eyed just watching it. Thanks to Kevin and the players and MLB - ya done good.

It’s almost like the movie came to life before our eyes. Such a great movie.

I just got the newly released soundtrack from La La Land Records. Highly recommended.

For this 60+ year old....watching that intro had the same effect as the movie had on me 30 years ago. Moved to tears, because they both remind me of the way I remember baseball as a child. Thank you Mr. Costner, thank you MLB 👍

America's game still exists, dreams really do exist...beautifully done.

I was in attendance and it was by far the best sporting event I ever attended..MLB hit a home run on this !!! Coolest part was in order to get to the game you had to enter through the corn in center field on the original field of dreams field Everything was just so well planned out.

Not gonna lie to you, me and my dad watched this in the car while going to get groceries. I seen a tear in my fathers eyes, I could barely hold back my own but I stayed strong, we lost my brother and his son early 2020 and all three us played baseball since we could throw a ball. My father won a gold in softball with Team Canada at some tournament in the 90s, he loves the game and sports so much in general. Tomorrow is his birthday. Love you dad.

Kevin is so amazing, he made me cry just watching and listening to this. This man has one of the greatest hearts and is one of our greatest treasured actors, and he's not done yet ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. He has one of the most amazing voices too 😆.

I still come back to this every once in a while because of how amazingly beautiful this whole game was. The presentation, the pregame, and the game itself being so close and nail-biting.

Who’s here watching this still in 2023? I just finished watching the movie for the umpteenth time and it still brings all the emotions to this day!

One of the most amazing sports moments in history. This gave me chills and brought me to tears. What an amazing day and what a great game to watch.

The whole intro and game were beautiful. Having Kevin Costner open, and walk out onto the field was great. Then, seeing BOTH TEAMS come out together from the corn was amazing! Breathtaking! The whole intro was perfectly executed. Amazing job. Well done.

I have never cried or gotten goosebumps during a baseball game until tonight. I loved This movie as a kid growing up. Thank you MLB

The most beautiful event I’ve ever witnessed. The game was pure today.

When the players walked out onto the field, perfectly timed to the music, the camera framing Costner just to the left, that was magic and surprisingly emotional.

I got in tears. Kevin Costner is one of the greatest actors. The way he gazed as he was walking on the field, the way he greeted the players, the way he delivered his speech, he knows how to deliver. When I was living in Japan, he came to Japan for the premier of bodyguard. I remember how the Japanese media got mesmerized with his manners and humbleness. This short film deserves a stranding ovation.

It was the first film I ever seen in a movie theater and thank God because it's been my favorite movie since! And then after I watched the second disc from the box set which was " THE MAKING OF FIELD OF DREAMS" the movie I thought I couldn't love anymore... I LOVED TWICE AS MUCH! I urge you to read what I wrote and then maybe look into it yourself because if you love this movie the way I did and still do you'll get chills as you watch this! Thanks buddy.

Absolutely beautiful! My dad played high school baseball in Davenport, Iowa in the 1950s. I’ve been to the Field of Dreams twice; it is truly a magical place.

Makes you miss being a kid, playing catch with your dad. Times when life seemed simple. A few minutes of happiness in these messed up times.

Not only did it bring me chills watching it live, it still gives me chills, not only one of the greatest moment's in baseball, but in all sports!

This was one of my husband's favorite movies. He would have loved this. He died five months after watching his beloved cubs win the World Series in Cleveland. He was thrilled that night.

Not gonna lie- last night could have been the coolest thing I have ever seen in sports. I don't cry often but last night brought tears to my eyes.

My Dad died when I was 17. We both loved this movie, the ending and baseball in general .Im 35 now and due to the passing of time has naturally accepted the fact he's gone and moved on. I was pumped for this game bc it seemed pretty cool but I wasnt expecting the surge of emotion it brought....I cried like a baby watching this game and thinking of him. Miss you big guy.

Sports has gotten so caught up in billion dollar stadiums, million dollar contracts flashy uniforms. Sometimes you got to dial back a bit. Hockey did it right with starting to play games outside. It brought back a humbleness and nostalgia to the sport.Hope this catches on. It was beautiful to watch.

At a time like we’re living in now… we needed something positive . Hearing James Horner’s music was perfect for Mr Costner, Chicago whitesox and NY Yankees taking the field

This actually made me cry. Thank you so much!!! This was wonderful!! Thanks Kevin Costner for making one of the best movies ever made.

I don't follow baseball, but this is absolutely one of the coolest and touching things I have ever seen. Truly spectacular. No matter where their careers take them, these players will always have the honor of playing this event.

As I’m sitting here watching the game I just can’t believe it it is so beautiful this made my evening. Thank you MLB and Iowa. God bless you all

Never a baseball fan and neither was my father but this is best suggestion I have ever heard. And players should bring out one of their children during opening. MLB make this happen. (Extra bonus usually most teams aren’t totally out of running for the playoff by Father’s Day so you won’t end up with a possible meaningless game between 2 last place teams in mid August). Take a bow sir.

Baseball needs something. Going woke blm supporting kneeling at the National Anthem has not played well for MLB.

You don't need to be a baseball fan to appreciate how cool this is. These people have a special story to tell for the rest of their lives.Couldnt imagine a cooler place to hit a home run.

I love this guy more than you might know. I saw him when he was young in "Dances with Wolves," happen to see his behind, "beautiful," and then other movies he made as I was an extra still. Once he looked into my eyes like he remembered me, I just melted again and again. I shall always remember him, his tenderness, his intellect, his just being Kevin, watching him from afar with love and memories. In fact no matter how old he gets, I still get the chills to see him, hear his voice and melt again. Navajo Grandma

Talk about goose bumps. First, the scene with Ray Kinsella and his Dad, John that gets me every time. The players emerging from the corn. Powerful. Thanks to all involved.

This will be remembered forever, what a story book ending. The Field of Dreams made true on it's promise.

I teared up remembering what baseball USED to be like, when I was a kid in the 90’s. No politics, no division, no hatred, just good ole baseball. Maybe we can one day have that again.

Tomorrow is never promised. I was lucky enough to go when my dad was still alive. I was a grown man trying not to cry the entire time. That place is magical.

I watched this with my dad as well. He taught me the game as a kid..RIP old man...Well done Kevin and MLB..

It was hard to watch this without getting a bit teary-eyed, what a great game that was last night. The NFL could never pull off anything this great.

Touched me in a very profound way. It stirred up so many emotions. Made me go back think about how me & my dad didn't have a lot in common except our love for baseball. Dad helped me appreciate how great a game baseball is & brought us closer together. I have so many fond memories of my dad especially every game of catch we had. Cherish every moment you have with the one's you love. Because it will never come again. Thank you Mr. Costner. RIP Dad. I love you...
