My thoughts exactly, I was balling like a baby because of nostalgia and well because I am a fan if the Cubs win or lose. Now seeing all the old Cubs players was epic and to see the old great Reds players was awesome. Can't get Amy better then the game of baseball in its true essence!

Thank you MLB and Kevin Costner for the future field of dreams memories to come. This is how traditions are made!
Just like watching the movie, seeing all of these legends take the field again gives me chills. What a joy to see the Griffey's father and son out there together. I'm a hometown Cincinnati Reds fan and it's always nice to see my heroes again. I was just remembering the Big Red Machine and the players. Johnny Bench, Tony Perez, Davey Concepcion, and all the others. And I can't forget Sparky Anderson. Yes, even Pete Rose. And my favorite commentator Joe Nuxhall (Daddy Joe)! I wish Joe could be there to take the field just one more time.

MLB has an actual Field of Dreams that is not from a fictional movie -- Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, N.Y. -- which could be used for a regular season game after the HOF induction ceremony. Make that weekend a salute to fans: all Saturday MLB games are twi-night doubleheaders, while at Doubleday, the participating teams conduct brief practices w/ a longer autograph session that's free to fans. On Sunday, the ceremony begins early afternoon and airs on ABC or ESPN....and the game is the only one scheduled and airs in the evening on ESPN or ABC and ESPN Radio.
Why did i choose now to cut all these onions?😢😢
This was SPECIAL. Thats All. Just Magical. Moving.
Special, always makes me emotional, touches the soul! So glad that my home city Chicago Cubs was part of this!!!

amazing introduction.. brought me tears... remembering the old days...
Around the same time this was happening Indiana little league team's Graham Vinson hit a walk off to send his team to the little league world series and in the celebration he jumped into his dads arms who is the coach of the team. It really can be a magical game. That's kind of what field of dreams was all about I think.
John Kinsella: Is this heaven? Ray Kinsella: It's Iowa John: Iowa... I could've sworn this was heaven. Ray: Is there a heaven? John: Oh, yeah.. Heaven's where dreams come true.
Play it every year and have the teams that go to the World Series wear their original uniforms. God, what a game. Baseball is awesome.
I grew up a Griffey fan. Having the Griffey’s pop out of the corn field was a perfect father and son moment. No better father and son combo for that moment.
Y'all done got me tearing up a little bit with this one.
This was awesome. Ken Griffey Jr. is my hero. Grew up in Seattle and got to see him play with Ken senior in 1990. The first time a father and son were teammates in MLB history.

After 2 years of MLB putting on this game I can say this. This specific game each year has had some kind of magic you just can't replicate with any other MLB game. Lets hope that MLB can keep this game going every year.
In Griffey we Trust! MN Twins fan here but always loved Griffey. And also - if you can visit the field - go! It's an experience you'll never forget.
4:48 That's a creative Cubs Shirt.
Johnny B and Fergie Jenkins. 2 of the best!!
Moments of memory. My grandfather uses to make me pitch to him for hrs, as he was my cather. He been long gone, But he's still there. Thanks ❤.
I moved here from Iran when I was 2. I'm now 44. I gravitated toward baseball very young, despite my dad's hate for the game. Why did he hate it? He's from the old country. In Iran, wrestling and soccer are the main pastimes. But his main reason for hating the game was the fact players would spit on the ground..these were the days everyone was chewing dip. He said this it's a classless sport because of that...lol....I was different. Grew up in LA listening to Vin Scully, and to this day bleed Dodger Blue. Looking back, I feel it was baseball that solidified my identity as an American. I'm proud of my roots, as Persians are an ancient people who contributed quite a bit to this world....but I'm an American first and foremost. It was baseball that made me feel that in my heart. In a few weeks I will be taking my son to his first game at Dodger stadium. I don't care if the NFL gets most of the ratings and all that, it's baseball that hits the heart and is truely our national pastime.

These first two years of the MLB games in the Field of Dreams facility have been wonderful. I really enjoyed them.
Just plain awesome! So happy kp and I was a part of this!
I bet Johnny Bench could still gun out base stealers at second base, he’s the best ever. What a great visual from the best baseball movie ever. All the old school guys I grew up with look great, The Hawk and Ryno and Barry Larkin.
This is so magical and emotional every year. Never stop.
I can't think of a better way to promote MLB--stunning, great, brilliant idea to have this game as an annual event.
As a 90’s kid pulls right on the heartstrings
They will come Ray. They most definitely will come.
That’s the kid. From kid he became a legend. In my life I never saw a ball player as great a Ken Griffey jr
MLB please. Please keep this tradition forever. Its amazing and is always stunning. Keep this place running. The only thing I'd want is more of these every season. But I'm happy having just the one to keep it special.
This is pure joy. This is why I love this game.
What a special moment. I was there two weeks before the first one last summer. Played catch with my daughter and granddaughter. It's pretty magical for sure.
I don't know what it is about Joey Votto, but he fits the time period perfectly.
The Kid.... absolutely THE BEST! So much respect for him!
Proud to call Cincinnati home!!⚾️
I love this game. I love this game so much
what a great tribute to all the greats who made baseball what it is. Thanks Fox Sports for bringing this simple reminder that the game of today was shouldered by these great players who forged fought taught and showed us the fun and enjoying this American sport.
Oh God I'm bawling. Miss my papa so much
Sr. Is why Jr. is one of the all time greats. Sr. Was a fantastic player in his own right.
Wow I had goosebumps watching this.
I know this is old news, and I’m a cubs fan, but there was one guy missing out there that should have been there…Pete Rose. Never a guy that played the game harder. I think, I hope at least, most fans agree. Seeing him walk out of the corn would have been awesome. He made mistakes and owned up to it.

This was just fantastic!
I'm a big football fan and it's the most entertaining for me; but man, baseball is the most beautiful sport.
I remember when I played baseball it’s everything I ever wanted to finish but never got the chance to finish my passion
MLB, don't ever get rid of this game. This is such an amazing experience, even to just watch on TV. Any diehard baseball fan has some sort of memory of this movie and what it means to the sport. Yes, it's just a movie, and sure, some of this might seem a little cringe-y, but to me, this game exemplifies what the sport is: A great way to spend quality time with friends, family, and for many their fathers. I love that it is just one game a year - it keeps the game special. I'm sure most players who have and will have this experience will attest to how meaningful it is. For all the bad that MLB and Manfred has done over the years, this is a bright spot. Kudos for another great edition of this game
Griffey best player I have ever scene play.
So glad that MLB brought Field of Dreams games. Didn’t think they could top the 1st opening last year with Kevin Costner. But this opening made me cry even more.
“How can you not be romantic about baseball”…..
Johnny Bench has that face that says old timer
There are no words but just take in the moment
Fantastic intro. Could you imagine playing a game of catch on that field, most definitely a field of dreams. I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and went to a lot of baseball games. First with my dad, then later with friends. My dad and I would play catch in our front yard. He passed away in 1974, I was 24 and just starting my own family. My kids never got to play catch with him, I played catch with them and coached the little league team. We later lived in NC and there was a Cleveland minor league team there, we were regulars. Even got tickets to go home for a game. Would give almost anything to play catch with my dad once more.
Continue with this corn field entrance….. always the best for the main event
Love this! Please make Dodgers Giants play next year in their old Brooklyn & NY uniforms! Vin's voiceover wouldve been perfect for that game
