I get the juice angle, but in the context of it is that while peds were going on for over a decade, baseball turned a blind eye, there was no testing. And the guy never tested positive. See there’s three categories. There are juicers in the hall, juicers who never tested positive, then there were juicers that tested positive and were suspended. What is crazy is that other sports hall of fames have people who juiced ( who even tested positive)!As for Griffey Jr. , he’s like Mantle and Trout. The best talent ever but as you mentioned betrayed by the body. As for Bonds ( & Judge) he went to college. Most of all the dead ball or live ball era guys except for Gehrig got their start earlier. We’ll never see anything like Bonds regardless of his indiscretion.

Barry Bonds is the GOAT. I'm so very glad that he came out for this. I know that he often shies away from media, so this is really special. People can bring up the age-old argument against his inclusion in the Hall, but I saw an amazing stat the other day: if one were to take away all of his MVP seasons, he still hit 440 HRs and stole 330 bags. Unbelievable talent, and I think he belongs. Put an asterisk next to his name, I don't care. Barry Bonds is the greatest ballplayer of all time. Rest in peace, Mr. Mays.

When Barry bonds was closing in on his hitting record he mentioned how willie mays was the best all around player in baseball that’s when I realized how good he really was even though I grew up hearing about him

Who would have thought that Bonds would have the most unifying comments at a time when our nation desperately needs reminded of the progress that’s been made rather than the endless finger pointing that the media loves to encourage to keep us all divided. Everyone hates on Barry for having confidence in himself. Sure, it comes off egotistical, but the Satchel Paige comment said it all. And when you grow up around Willie, and your dad berates you as a child like he would a grown man, you become what Barry is. Looks like Griffey is still just a kid at heart. Love that guy!! Hated seeing him come up against my Yankees, but what a player he was.

Ken Griffey Jr is the 🐐.. cool story about two years ago I was at the driving range by myself and out of the fog walks up KG jr .. I didn’t bother him, just said hi, but it was a pleasure to share the range with just me and him and just hit some golf balls.. I even took a break and just watched him for a bit, even in golf his swing is just as smooth .. truly a memory I will never forget 🙏

Does any other sport commentary have this level and diversity of talent? Griffey, Jeter, Papi, BONDS, A-Rod. Top tier of the top tier.

Love you Barry! Nothing compares to the memories I had as a kid watching Barry at Candlestick and Pac Bell Park Park hitting homeruns. I have never experienced that type of buzz and excitement in any other sporting event. You can't take that away. Barry was a Giant who stood on the shoulder's of Giants. Rest in Peace Willie.

I don't know why I thought this but I always thought Barry Bonds had a chip on his shoulder and was kind of cold. In every interview I've seen of him lately, he is completely the opposite. He really seems like a nice, warm, genuine guy. Put him in the Hall!

That just goes to show that we have to appreciate these guys and their greatness while they are playing. I’m not surprised that there’s no Bonds/Griffey Jr in today’s league. Not surprised one bit. Those guys don’t just grow on trees. Generational ball players right here. Can’t be duplicated.

Bonds & Griffey, watching 2 big superstar icons of MLB in 90s sitting together, along with younger superstars Jeter, A-Rod, Papi, appearance of them makes me feel so special for Mr. Willie Mays.

I’m so thankful I got to watch Barry Bonds as a kid. I’m a dodgers fan so I never rooted for him but still BY FAR the greatest I have ever seen. I don’t think kids today will ever understand how much he was feared at the plate.

Mickey Mantle enters the argument. Quite a magical name as well, although he didn't play with an individual style like Willie Mays did. Willie played with swag & made everything look so easy, and for him, it was easy.
