Thank you very much Dr. Sean Hashmi for such interesting information. Really very necessary for all of us who have PKD and are interested in doing everything possible to take care of ourselves as much as possible and ensure that the progression of our PKD is as slow as possible. Thanks for your generosity!!! A big hug from Sweden. (Excuse my English. I do not speak English language, and I use google translate to translate)

ADPKD kills my family for generations with a recent loss and currently 3 of us confirmed and in the grave queue. I'm in Stage 2. Please as Dr Hashmi, so other reading, any insights, ideas, help will be greatly appreciated. I'm doing whatever I can, organic-enthusiasts grown plant based diet, living on intermittent 18h fasting every other day, exercising for 30min after at least 1 out of 3 meals, eating the lower end of salt recommendations for ADPKD, no sugar, processed food and limited carbs. Keeping stress levels in tick, ... Anything, ANYTHING else you'll recommend? And a HUGE thank you for all these information and research, very helpful!

You are doing an amazing job! Please talk with your nephrologist to also discuss the medication options and see if its right for you or not.

There are so many things here. Its very important to talk with your nephrologist and focus on getting the protein in the urine down, lowering blood pressure and any risk factors you may have.

Why such a hate of a ketogenic diet that you call a crazy diet? I will agree with you that exercise is important, as well as sleep. But a ketogenic diet, once mastered, is a heck of a lot easier than one hour of physical exercise each day when you have a busy life and a long commute. Keto is not back as you say and is not recent - did you just discover it? It is state of the art and used for instance in the treatment of a variety of mental health issues. Why scare people with ketoacidosis which is a rare event? Btw I have a T1D friend who, under a knowledgeable doctor's control, reduced her injected insulin by FIFTY percent on a ketogenic diet. I strongly suggest you get your knowledge on the ketogenic lifestyle up to date or divulge a conflict of interest. If there are other reasons why you are so reluctant about the keto lifestyle, then they are probably even worse.
