Thank you for the video! I took part on this race (I'm german) and it is a very nice course, very flat, well organized, not too full, nice people cheering. It is also very exactly. My watch said, I ran just 100m more. I can really recommend this race, especially if you want to run a PB ... but just recognized, that this race you showed, isn't the race of 2024, but the race oft 2018 ... so: I didn't take part in 2018 ...

I've noticed that you like giving us the pace in miles. Could you please give us the pace per kilometers too. We never hardly use miles in other countries. Therefore, it's difficult to gage the pace of the runers when it's being called in miles.

It seldom happens, with these elite male athletes, where the time difference between the 1st place getter and the 10th is, in this instance 25mins!!….unheard of! surely?

If one of them skips a refreshment to possibly put in a surge and drop the rest, then the rest might also decide to skip a station. Or there might be another reason but these guys should be elite enough to know their refreshment schedule. They purposefully may skip some in order to speculate on the others will bonk. Normally, but especially when someone completely runs out of fuel the human body can even quickly absorb some sugars even through the mouth mucus membrane (this is for example how you can save a life of a diabetic whos blood sugar is too low by just placing a little candy in the mouth).
