Ultimately it’s the runner’s responsibility to know the race route by heart. But I’ve seen many wrong turns that cost victories. Almost always, marshals had a hand with it (organizers too).

Sometimes more a rant about the course than a commentary and analysis of the race… I don't think every race needs to try to be the fastest. Championships on annually differing courses are notorious for being challenging - also in sports like cycling. You are right though - the start should have been wider/straighter.

This constant refrain about the course’s twists and turns completely whiffs on what matters: that the conditions are identical for all the competitors.

I don't agree with the comment below. The Runner provides great commentary and analysis. He produces running videos almost daily and covers many great races that I look forward to seeing when come home from work, I find them relaxing. I don't see why TRP and the Runner need to be in competition, we should leave that to the professional runners, even then it's getting nasty and out of control between Kerr and Jakob. Runner, please continue to provide great running videos!

Haile was a excellent runner who had a long and great career. I was most impressed with his friendly and humble demeanor. Jakob and Kerr should take lessons from Haile on how to be a class act!

With modern technology, running lights in use as a pacer, Haile Gebreselassie would have been a bit faster, and his times in the 5000, 10000, half marathon and marathon are still world class.

Great racing but stop waxing lyrical about how good the 80s were There was minors strike, Thacher and losing houses to a 13% to 15% interest rate hike on mortgages and losing friends in the Falkland and the fear of losing your life at a football riot. But I agrea the runners were great and it offer a lighter note to the news.

But this Kipruto has a history of running exceptionally good from his youth. He is a guy who not coming from nowhere. I doubt these allegations. Am shocked and sad at this punishment. In this record breaking run, you could see the effort he was putting in. Dopers don't suffer like that😢

Excellent race and excellent commentary ! As a 60 year old man who was in his prime running years during the early 1980's in high school and the early 1990's in college, this race brings back fond memories of running in local 5 and 10 K races. They didn't cover these races in the US on TV, I had to read about in the magazine called Runners World. Please keep covering races like this on your channel. Thanks again !
