Kayak Camping Trip - Ocmulgee River, Georgia PT. 2

Ойын-сауық

Kayak Camping Time! Greg, Kevin and I were joined by Crossed Paddle founders Mitchell Childers and Anthony Barbour as we head down to Georgia for a little kayak camping trip with some Alabama boys! Dan Truitt of the Southern Paddler, Wes Jones and Old Crow from As the Crow Flies Hiking met us in Macon Georgia for a weekend on the Ocmulgee River. It was a weekend of fun, laughs, beautiful country, swimmer bell, paddling in the dark, gators, midnight Waffle House runs and more!

@@RiverKingsKayak Thanks very much Pete. I have the 10 foot remix XP. Where I live near Franklin NC has a mixture of small flat water lakes and interesting rivers with class one and class two whitewater (and of course all the other wonderful higher class whitewater around here.) Since I’m able to have only one boat at the moment the remix seems to check all the boxes. Still looking for some folks that would like to do some exploration. Keep up the great work.

if you havent you should try the flint river. Its not far from where you were here. Thomaston Georgia and Sprewells Bluff are pretty areas. Below Thomaston is YellowJacket Falls which i hear has taken lives not sure what level that is whitewater rapids but most people take out before then. :)
