Wonderful performance from both. If you didn’t know that Baltsa was a mezzo, you would think you were hearing one of the finest Violetta’s of the time-perfect ease and color to her voice. What a total delight!

Little known fact : Agnes Balsra graduates as a dramatic soprano from the conservatory. She just was a good fit in the mezzo repertory and went that way having success. She easily could have sung Violetta.

El gran tenore actual Jonas Kaufmann ha dicho en la television francesa que el téatro Colon tenio la mejor acustica de todo el mundo !

Agness Baltsa was quite rude at the end. For this reason, she was subject to a prank by some colleagues ... and I must say she took it well and totally redeemed herself ! They're both fantastic and theirs is my favorite Carmen, but did she have to take her Violetta's skepticism as to Alfredo's affection as far as rejecting Carreras' hand trying to get hold of hers at the end? :)
