It’s crazy . Especially given Jon is still fighting the good fight and being a voice for those who don’t have one . Like when he yelled at congress for voting against the PACT act for veterans . This man is a comedian and has done more for veterans and 9/11 first responders than politicians . Not to mention he’s been consistent since the beginning. He’s one of the biggest patriots I’ve seen and as a veteran I have nothing but the utmost respect for Jon . He is also receiving hate from the left too since he’s critical of Biden just as much as Trump . He actually sees things as it is . George Carlin was right about Jon showing us a lot of

This is an example on why suicide rates among the disabled are at an epidemic proportion across many demographics. '17-CV-02954-KLM Operation: Crucified Serpent They want to talk about how broken Socialism and Venezuela are among other places; yet, our own public servants don't even get an honest benefits application process. Can't really say Capitalism controlled by corporations and lobbyists works any better. Average wait time at the VA is 7-8 years. The process becomes unconstitutional after the first year, being a legal process handled by lawyers and judges. They have no motivation to decide on claims quickly, veterans get zero interest on backpay regardless how long the claim takes to decide favorably. They need to keep mortality rates up and that is why our leaders have no intention of fixing the system they already know is broken. While it doesn't work for the population, it is working for someone. Whoever those people are, our leaders would rather challenge and wrong us than protect our rights from whatever that group is, which is supposed to be their tax-paid purpose. They could fix these issues; yet, stubbornly refuse to. I've proven it with my own lawsuit, Mr. Stewart has proven it with this documented Congressional visit. Jon Stewart if you see this, following in my footsteps will help us solve this problem. If you are that mad about all this and believe it's time something gets done, there is no other realistic alternative so far. Anyone affected by such issues caused by this government, can utilize the option I came up with to mitigate problems with a 60 year history of murdering countless...often times causing victims such economic or social turmoil that they take their own lives.

There's a reason they want to increase congressional pay, but it's frankly a bad faith argument. They want to deter people from accepting outside money from corporate donors or lobbyists and providing them with more money passively is supposed to fix that by being a deterrent. Trusting everyone to do this in good faith is ridiculous. You need a law to accompany this change and force them to not accept money from outside their position.

I think you can add to this and say a true patriot does not play team sports with politics. A true patriot focuses on the issues that face the common citizen and addresses them, regardless of what the stance of any political party is. Jon Stewart is undoubtedly a patriot, as he fights for what he thinks is right, regardless of his personal benefit. Politicians for the most part are not patriots. The only one I can think of who was in recent years, would be John McCain, who often had voted against his own party for what he believed was right.

Tragically, it "requires" an emotional, passionate showing up in the halls of Congress to get anything passed anymore. And the only reason it passes is because politicians are busy being politicians. They're thinking (worrying) "How do I look right now? When and how to I respond? I'll stand up when it's over and applaud loudly. It's all about timing right now." This is what disgusts me more than anything about politicians and Washington. As one put it, "It's all about perception." Peoples' needs come "after" that.

if you want some kind of electoral reform, you need ranked ballots, tiered voting. which means that we wouldn't have to always settle for the lesser of two evils. Example: if we had 3 canidates (A, B, and C), we would vote with ballots ranking each candidate as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. That way, If I preferred candidate A and B and list them in my ballot as "1st vote for Canidate A, 2nd for Canidate B"..then if Canidates B and C ended up in the top two positions, My vote wouldn't be wasted on Canidate A.
