You can tell Mox doesn't want to go back there ever again. I'm glad that he found AEW as I think it fits his style much more, and it's awesome that there are two different companies that take these different approaches for wrestlers. I don't think one is better than the other, no matter what storylines are being pitched, they are two completely different landscapes. WWE is like your Hollywood working gig for a big company while AEW is more of that edgy TV show like wrestling used to be. I really hope there is no "ratings war" again, this is a great thing for the business itself. We need different options, otherwise there are gonna be a tons of wrestlers that aren't seen due to their potential.

I get what you are saying, but the Hollywood stuff needs to be better. You can make a PG product worth watching as long as the stories you tell make sense and it interests people to keep watching. The problem with WWE is a lot of their creative decisions are very inconsistent and don't even make sense in their own story logic. Only one guy is getting a consistent push with a strong story is Roman Reigns...that still is not enough to keep your audience invested. The midcard needs some love and the secondary champions need to look stronger so the marks can take their status seriously. At one point, the Intercontinental title was on the same level of prestige as the World title and acted as a stepping stone to the World title. Now it's just there.

"Wrestling properly" is definitely something John Moxley is renown for. His in-ring skills even put Bret Hart to shame. I cannot fathom why some people would describe his "style" as indy garbage wrestling, consisting mostly of hardcore trash and the usage of foreign objects. John Moxley might even be able to push Kenny Omega off the throne as the greatest shakespearean wrestling scientist ever. 23 stars for every match, more if they would take place in the Tokyo Dome.

They could have just done the bare basic story line. Seth realizes Ambrose never forgave him for turning on The Shield. Ambrose costs Rollins the tag titles and IC title. Ambrose hates the fact that Seth always moved on with his life like nothing ever mattered, turning on The Shield and joining The Authority, when Ambrose got injured a year ago Seth moved right on by teaming with Jason Jordan, when JJ also got injured he moved right on to the IC Championship. They have a kill each other match at TLC 2018. Seth wins probably since he was moving on to feud with Lesnar, Ambrose learns to let his hate go or whatever. Sure it's like the most basic story line but it'd be significantly better than Ambrose suddenly becoming a germaphobe and killing the story line dead than and there.

Boom. I fantasy booked the same thing almost. They would've lost the titles to Authors of Pain at Survivor Series, they would lose their next couple matches, Rollins is getting frustrated but Ambrose cuts a promo one week before the Royal Rumble with Rollins telling him he'll always have his back and he'll see him that Sunday, they hug and embrace; Ambrose then attacks him from behind, beating him senseless. Royal Rumble comes, Ambrose is first in but then Rollins makes his entry and immediately eliminates Ambrose and himself, fighting all the way to the back. It all culinates in a No Holds Barred at Wrestlemania.

@@xTheManWhoLaughs Wow look calm down Arthur/Jack/Redhood, Robins etc. Whatever names DC has been giving over years when comic's used to be readable _(btw i will touch on that later)_ but your missing C.T's point. The reason why WWE can never go back to their glorious prime days, when both Vince's business used to be everything and everything WWF & even WWE and cant be so huge that even people who aren't interested in the product would understand & know of it. Is because both quality, innovation and conviction has died of, while the WWE business limits the product and give opportunities rather than create a new opportunity for the new stars their trying to develop. Also way to many rectons on many different storylines, won't help wiping out events and firing wrestlers out of existence or the business... _Does it remind you of anything though?_ Perhaps of the current comic book industries _(DC/Marvel & including indie's comic's)_ ? The same goes for comics man, thanks to the new weird agendas _(effects Pro wrestling businesses as well)_ , similar horrible writing that many wants to forget and of course low quality new comic characters that a small amount of "fans" people will forget about a year max= legitimately the majority of the pushed NXT wrestlers during 2010-2020 and the new "talented"... Wrestlers who can't still somehow top old wrestlers from 2 different eras, exactly how many new comic book heroes takes the title of many iconic characters but can't even come close to the ideal of the character... ...Let alone trying to be better, haven't seen a wrestler that beaten Orton in a promo segment and his been in the business only sense 2000? Expected more, far more from the new generation but sadly their a bigger joke then the womans division and believe me... The womans division in WWF/WWE has been either incomplete or bad but mostly bad but it used to be a time when it was watchable and memorable... Can't even do that anymore, sense now their limited to do a single cursing and speaking of things like that? *_Where's the blood again, the real chair shoots and where's the real aggression?_* Wow if you cant even top the ruthless agression era, then forget about reaching the attitude era. This is exactly why someone similar to Ambrose leaves the business and you think Tommy Dreamer/Kevin Nash/Scott Steiner would stay while talking to a random nobodies in useless segments? Absolutely not, you did see Reigns in his own blood if this was in either ruthless agression or attitude era if he would've talked and forgot about him getting while he got buried alive in his first entrance in the locker room surrounded by real monsters & wrestlers. Ambrose ain't perfect, he was obviously an kiss ass for a time being but even a person who isn't interested in pro wrestling entertainment. Would realize that this guy would rather switch place with Mankind getting thrown down a 30 feet Hell in Cell, then getting 10 million for a simple segment and be remembered as an legend who we would question to be either brave or foolish. Btw personally hate the Shield members but if they written right they could've been much better and people certainly accept even reigns was a heel was against his samoan heritage _(sense he isn't samoan, really his just luckily adopted)_ and that would fit him much better. Although still Shield is still a bad joke compared to the ruthless agression era teams made, attitude era groups made wrestling bigger than what Hogan or anyone before him could ever do.

It's just a damn shame WWE didn't use Moxley like they used Cena when it comes to promos, talking on the mic etc. They knew he was good on the mic from the very beginning because they had him as the main voice with the Shield. His passion, dedication and talent was taken for granted and if he was pushed the same as Rollins and Reigns was then he could've been the most over guy in the WWE and probably would've never left. What is WWE's loss is AEW's gain though. He couldn't be more better off right now and it's because he's not scripted, he has a lot of control about his character and how he's being booked. How does the WWE mess that up? There isn't one guy who has more passion than Moxley and him declining all that money WWE offered him is proof. So many guys who weren't being pushed or booked right cave no matter how miserable they are. The second they get a contract to re-sign and because WWE is in a position to offer a lot of money, they ignore their happiness and mentality and take the money more times than not. There aren't a lot of wrestlers who stands their ground and bets on themselves to go to another company. Think about that, there are so many wrestlers who re-sign and they're not even being used. They sit in catering while weeks or months goes without being booked and that is a miserable existence and it has to hurt some wrestlers mindset and mentality but I don't pity them because they had their opportunity to leave and goes to another company where they're valued but I respect the hell out of Moxley for believing in himself by leaving the WWE.

The in-ring being stale and same-old "safe style" for years was bad enough, but that blatant horribleness by "creative" sealed the deal for me. In another interview, Mox has said how much he hated that because he is friends with Seth and Roman outside of 'story' and that was another big reason why he left. The promo was actually supposed to be a LOT worse, but he refused and toned it down, while still going with it because like he said here: Deal with the BS for that check until can find a better way. Plus he made a solid antihero and if they would have let him keep his edge he had in the shield after his feud with bray and after or during his title run he would have been (I think) or had a better time. Some one who was the other person carrying the company during Seth's initial championship run deserved better. I remember when I turned down Booker T to go to his wrestling school. Just hearing these stories of wrestlers on the road & all the double cross crap with the company like I’m glad I did now.

He was not a main event guy in the WWE. He was a guy that could hover around the top for years. A good intercontinental champ. Smart move to go to AEW and be a head liner.

Moxley is one of those guys that, for whatever reason, I’ve never been interested in. I can’t really put my finger on the reason why but in every promotion I just zone out when I see him. He’s like my reverse Jericho, who always instantly grabbed my eyes from WCW onwards.
