Jon Jones - The High Five Proves Nothing!

Спорт

On 30th of March two drug testers for the Drug Free Sport International paid a surprise visit to the house of UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones to collect a sample of his urine. They allegedly got more than they bargained for. According to one of the testers, Crystal Martinez, who later filed a police report on the incident, Jon Jones was aggressive, agitated, intimidating and even threatened the lives of the two individuals.
Jon later posted video evidence which showed the two leaving his property on good terms with Jones, where Crystal Martinez even initiated a high five. This has been seen by many to absolve Jones. Here I argue that that’s not necessarily the case.

I don't think that is ever happening.. All the western world justice seems to work in a similar way. If you got the dough, got thousands, tens of thousands or more for lawyers, more then likely you are either walking off or getting a slap on the wrist. In my country, for almost everything except murder, as long as you can pay, you are probably not even seeing a trial. But my country is corrupt as fuck. That kind of corruption is just built into the system in America. If you are piss poor, you are getting a plea deal, where your alternative is so horrendous that you have to be an idiot to go to trial with a public lawyer.. Then again, if you are a millionaire, then sometimes the right lawyer will actually make it so you walk away with murder.. It will never change as long as power is tied with money in America.

I mean, if you're being threatened by a dude that looks like he's been juicing since he was a baby and you know you'll have to be around him for a few more seconds, of course you try and de-escalate that situation as much as possible. Her initiating the high five is consistent with how she acted during the rest of her story, she said she didn't want to use the phone because she wasn't sure how he'd react, not a move you'd typically make in a scenario where someone threatens to kill you but it makes sense when put in the greater context of trying to keep this insane dude calm. Strange behaviour is what it comes to when you're dealing with people who are acting erratically.
