Entitled to your opinion however I don't care what anyone says, especially current film critics, but by far the best Joker portrayal was Heath Ledger. I can't see any of the criminal mastermind in Phoenix's portrayal. Not his fault as it's the way the part was written - imo by writers who didn't really understand the Joker character.

It's a heavily stylized movie, it seems like most of it takes place inside their hallucinations.

I really liked Joker in the white suit. Looks great and reminds me of Dark Knight Returns

As someone who actually works in mental health facilities, I'm almost certain Harley is actually a patient, not staff, in this. Brings up an interesting point, folie a deux - shared madness - what if it's less about Arthur pulling her into his madness and more about her pulling him further into his own.

Since Lady Gaga is cast, I wonder if maybe they made Harley a Music Therapist or even a Dance Movement Therapist rather than a traditional Shrink. The hallucinations I am sure will be way trippy.

The scene when she draws the smile on the glass asking to see the real him and he looks up and smiles is epic!!! 😃

I'm commenting about the lipstick scene because I did like that more than any of it and I've literally seen everyone els talk about it so now it's my turn 🤷‍♂️.

One of the cinematic details of the first movie was the use of lights. Most halucinations had warm lights, what would help identify the hallucination from the real world (real world being more cold/blue colored). I believe they are using that differentiation again now.

They’d never be able to make Batman run fast enough to catch Joker 😅 or they could play the scene where Arthur imagines he is getting further and further away as he looks over his shoulder, then bam, boom, pop, Batman has him face down on the pavement as reality catches up.

Lipstick scene was good, let’s hope the rest of it is as well. The Joker is too excellent a character to mess up.

I live behind a mental facility for the criminally insane where my mother worked at and retired from. It's actually a bit more common that the workers do actually hook up with patients. Which leads me to believe we're all just a little bit crazy at the end of the day.

The imagery has elements of the first movie everything in the first movie seems like it's in this but now the visual ques we wasn't familiar with in the first movie is now key notes in the new one

Thats amazing!!!onces more an extraordinary photografy and outstanding execution roles,but this time maybe the oscar goes for her....all of the musical scenes i guess its in arthur mind in feeling such desires towards harley,and we must not forget they're origins,here we are forced to believe that she is an arkham patient but in reality shes is a doctor of the same instituction and of arthur itself,and that is what we will see in the end ,that all scenes between them is a trick of the arthur's mind and was all his fantasy for such care toward him and understanding by his doctor harleen quinzel , and maybe the thinks got twisted cause we dont know who's getting treat by who....to finally she getts him release out of the asylum

Im excited for JOKER 2 Folie A Deux

Best example of a “jukebox musical” is Moulin Rouge where there aren’t any original songs but rather cover songs of pop music arranged in a broadway musical style. Looks like Joker 2 is doing this and it makes perfect sense with Arthur’s character knowing how he loves to dance. This movie could be a whole musical therapy session.

Looking forward to this movie, the tone set by the trailer looks promising. That last scene with the lipstick was the cherry on top.

Phoenix’s role has been amazing in this, but I can’t imagine him fighting Batman and I really don’t want another another reboot if they decide to do it with Pattinson’s batman

Excited for the film. Joker as tragic character and not just straight villain, along with the musical aspects of the film makes it feel like true Elseworld.

I’ll be very interested to see if they will bring back the three Joker thing into , this time just because he’s been locked up and away maybe his mind splits in three or something like that and I wonder if Harley falls in love with one of them ….is a friend to the other wants to help him get better -- as Arthur technically we’re going to have three different stories or something like that when the Joker was asked the question about an origin story” he’d prefer multiple-choice “ - and that is what we saw in this part of the trailer looks very interesting. They didn’t show the persons face, but it looks like the jokers hitting the other joker 🃏 even killing the other joker maybe in Arthur’s head( maybe 2 version are fighting for the limelight in Arthur’s head ) but I have some feeling it’s gonna be a psychological mental situation on top of everything else maybe we’ll see three different Harleys. Also, who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️ just a thought 💭 ….?
