I hope this garbage flops at the box office. This failure should have happened with the first film, but it was forcibly promoted to the Oscars so that the audience could, through Joaquin receiving an Oscar, imagine what it would be like if Heath Ledger had received it live, so it was antics, not Joaquin Phoenix’s acting performance and Lady Gaga deserve the Golden Raspberry Award. ​@@owenorders5202Joaquin was only joker in the last half hour of the movie, ever since the 1st movie promos even before it hit 1 billion, Joaquin said in interviews he doesn't feel he played joker at his full potential and there are different colors of the character he'd like to explore and they had talks about the sequel when they were working on the 1st movie, Todd Phillips also said the sequel was always planned because the character is too complicated to be done in one movie but they didn't want to talk about it back then because they didn't want to jinx it. If it was about the money then Joaquin wouldn't have turned down Dr Strange in MCU, any actor would jump to work in MCU but this is the 1st sequel in Joaquin's +40 years of career so he's clearly doing out of dedication to give his all for the character in the sequel, rather than just money.

@@norm-bb3bb Neither Christopher Nolan nor Zack Snyder really understand superheroes, especially Batman, because they're film directors, not fanboys. James Gunn does understand them, and DC should have snapped him up right after he made the superhero satire 'The Specials. Batman Begins was pedestrian and The Dark Knight Rises hardly had any Batman in it at all, so The Dark Knight was the much better film of the three. The real Batman would have found a way to save both Harvey Dent and Rachel Dawes, but if he had to choose, he would have saved the civilian, not a lawyer who knew the risks he was taking. 'The Batman' movie with Robert Pattinson is the closest so far to The Batman's canonical persona as long established in the comics. But the best superhero film is the much maligned 'Daredevil', but only if you watch the Director's Cut (not the Special Edition.) With the extra twenty minutes restored, it's a much tighter and better film.

The original Joker was terrible. Everyone praised his performance? Insane/Crazy is literally the easiest acting to play! The storyline was slow and uneventful. The relationship with the girl seemed so weird, I couldn’t wait for the twist… the twist was… she’s not real! The TV series Lost did that and everyone was real mad! De Niro finally in a comic book movie… and he plays the most one dimensional caricature that literally anyone could have played. Best bit is when he stabs his bullies… let me ask you something. The weird guy from work doesn’t come in one day, what you doing? Definitely NOT going over to his house for the first time ever! And SOMEHOW they’ve added the worst actress in the world and a musical theme I guess cz it’s Gaga and it “fits”? I’m angry already at how people will be so off AGAIN!

Speculation is that it will be a musical. I think it will just use music in a couple of very strategic instances to highlight that the Joke finds violence as joyous as music.

It reminds me of how the show LEGION portrayed the characters' madness throughout the seasons. Always so creative with dance numbers and wrestling matches. Highly recommend ! It's one of the best Marvel shows (only loses to Daredevil I'd say)

I hope this garbage flops at the box office. This failure should have happened with the first film, but it was forcibly promoted to the Oscars so that the audience could, through Joaquin receiving an Oscar, imagine what it would be like if Heath Ledger had received it live, so it was antics, not Joaquin Phoenix’s acting performance and Lady Gaga deserve the Golden Raspberry Award. I EXTREMELY HOPE THAT IT FAILS IN THE DISPLAY AND THAT THIS SHAMEFUL TRASH WILL NEVER BE IN THE CINEMA AGAIN. It's the same as if Tom Hardy had won an Academy Award for his role in Venom. Just when I thought I had already seen some of the greatest trailers of all time, (how can they possibly get any better) this one comes out and makes me rethink things.

I never imagined I'd live to see the Joker, a campy villain from the Batman comicbooks, be not only adapted into a psychological biopic thriller but ALSO arthouse cinema. But it's here and so am I. Where they manage to take the Joker next, and Harley too, now occupies the front of my mind, which is so crazy.

And with *this* budget? You never see it. not saying it'll overtake the first but I bet it will be still good.

It is an interesting shot. I'd imagine it was done by having a monitor set up where Phoenix could see himself in order to line it up, but its certainly an interesting choice. The angles not set up for Harley, it's set for the audience. With more context from the scene, it could be even more interesting. And the fact that its a fake smile that only exists in glass at first and then transfers to his real face AND it being Harley to have created that smile, its got a lot of layers to it, ironically with it being a layered shot. All that having been said, I'm pretty sure you're overreacting. They lined up a lipstick smudge on a pane of glass it's not the invention of the wheel.
