Bert is weirdly one of the best people to interview Johnny. Everyone wants to talk to him about his darkest days, about a rise and fall and recovery etc. this is way more honest and less judgey than his other interviews imo

@@user-rj6qq7nl2s first of all Bert has the most forced/worst laugh of all time. Sicklers laugh is distinctive so I can see someone not liking it but he never forces a single laugh. My point was the Honey Dews theme would be perfect for Manzel, Ryan asks great questions and would get into his low lights.

HAHA! Bert is funny, but the worst interviewer ever. He has people on his PC so he can tell them all about him. lol
This honestly is a blessing for me to watch. Im ironically flying to Arizona of all places next week and seeing my family for the 1st time in years. Im fighting to eliminate drinking from my life. This has genuinely been a catylst to tighten up and follow through with my goal
It's awesome Jonny figured it out and does what he wants. That had to be tough. Glad he got it right!

This podcast talking about the moment you realize it might not be for you or you might not have the skill set. Is the realest thing I've ever heard. Never really thought about walking away from sports that way. Thank you Bert and Johnny I'll never look back on those days with regret again.
Johnny would be fire on TV. His voice is legit.
This is the most likeable I have found Johnny in an interview. He undoubtedly has some earned wisdom, and Burt broke that down better than I’ve heard before. Fascinating character study. I wish him well.

And they also gave him a shot at getting back to the NFL not the CFLs fault he didn’t take it seriously and frankly sucked. I’ll always remember that game against Hamilton where he broke the league record for most interceptions thrown in a game.

Hide the Canadian, some great Canadians at DB and LB as well as other positions. Katsantonis in Hamilton and Marc-Antoine Dequoy in Montreal are stand outs in the backfield and gee both white boys. There is a lot more than 2 or 3 per team that could go south and compete but face facts politics and numbers. Only so many jobs available.
Never cared for Johnny football as an Alabama fan, HAHA, but after watching his documentary, he's the man. Dude rules!

@@collinloretitsch4731You know Alabama won the national championship that year?
Up here, CFL teams don't have the US football fan base. Having local talent on every teams is also an awsome way to keep canadians interested in CFL. NFL and NCAA are more popular than CFL and USport. Having more americans would upgrade the league game but it wouldn't attract more fans on the long run. As a long Montreal Alouettes fan, i'm use to see great players for 1 to 4 year and see him getting his chances back to the NFL. CFL also give a great window for canadians to get to NFL. Anyway, great interview as usual!

This is such a great podcast and the most I’ve ever seen Bert listen and just be in the moment.
STAY THE SOLID DUDE YOU ARE JOHNNY!!
He can be proud. Didn’t have the success he wanted in the NFL but there are worse things in life than being a high school and college star athlete who’s still rich af

Bert thinks interjecting his personal experiences with the people he interviews from completely different worlds makes him more likeable and relatable. It doesn't. He also prob does it bc he's kind of a noob interviewer and can't think anything else to move the discussion forward.
Can’t believe these two awesome dudes didn’t drink on camera together. Love ya’ll

Jonny is the man, would love to see him on going deep
Its a beautiful thing seeing how far Johnny has come because you can tell how far he is still going to go. Nice to see Brett not looking so fat for once too. Good job Chrysler.
Holy fucking shit was not expecting the goat Johnny Fn Football !!
This was unexpectedly amazing
I think Johnny would be a good NFL analyst. He obviously knows the sport, & at least still likes talking about it.
This explains Berts Superbowl Behavior
Not sure if he'd be interested but I'd like to see him take a shot at the UFL. Much smaller league but still pro level. I get he's at peace with it but Johnny football could still have a shot, and with 3 Texas teams, might be cool
Great job Bert, YMH keep cranking out these bangers 🤙

The confidence of Matthew Perry talk about how hes doing good
The talent in the CFL is better than Manziel even thinks, it's nice to hear him give the CFL props...but realize he's claiming he went up to the CFL then just "didn't feel like playing anymore". When in fact he wasn't capable of playing in the CFL. The rule differences and faster game were too much for him, he was only a backup for publicity purposes. He was terrible in the CFL, couldn't keep up. So when he says the talent is better than you'd think, I give him credit for saying that. But, he downplays the talent level by claiming he just didn't "feel like" playing football as a career when he went to the CFL.
I just had to explain who Johnny manziel was to my wife yesterday. Crazy lol
Johnny could be Adam Ray playing dr phil
7:23 "The best is break someone's spirit" Hes referring to someones sobriety. hahahahahah
Bert! Looking good playa
the thing i dont hear anyone talk about when it comes to sobriety and mental health is using detoxing methods specifically for heavy metals intestinal plaque parasites and liver cleansing. when you can get rid of alot of this garbage that has accumulated over the years your mind and body will heal.
Amazing podcast Bert! Both of you got to talk!
Hey, have a great day/night
Today is going to be a great day for podcasts! I got Bert, Rogan, and a new Flagrant episode already in queue! 😁

What he on a podcast tour??
Bert's gotta be the easiest podcast to do, you've just got to listen to him talk about himself.

I feel so sorry for Brent. He’s so brainwashed by Leanne he thinks she’s smart. Bert she’s insufferable and a manipulative narcissist but everyone that knows you wants something from you and is afraid to tell you because they want something from you. Some day you’re going to look back on your life and realize this when it’s already too late.

These guys deserve each other. Crazy that Bert is the one that still has a career. That Joe teet is frothy. Embarrassing.
yeah, that’s not what muscle memory is Bert…
Like I get it what Johnny is saying but he really just wasn’t the competitor that he thought he was. And that’s okay but he just wanted to do the simple life and drink and just chill with had he had had. He’s a waste of talent though regardless but I don’t blame him at all.
@TillerG7
Ай бұрын
You can’t say Johnny wasn’t a competitor. Imagine the pressure that was put on his shoulders the moment he won the Heisman as a freshman. He didn’t realize what that pressure was gonna do to him and I think it got to be too much to handle and not what he expected. But you don’t do what he did in high school and college without a competitive edge.
Johnny is the definition of a nepo baby. Only was taken seriously in football because of his family’s money. He was spat out of the NFL, CFL and even the fan voting league.
So this was in the bank for 3 months ?? Unless he lied on Shannon Sharp podcast !! He said sober
