I saw Johnny Depp on a TV program about 25 years ago. A person in the studio audience asked him how he gets through the critics about all the very different characters he has played. Depp answered simply and sincerely, "move forward and do what you have to do". I was so impressed by his answer that I got up and wrote it on my kitchen blackboard and it remained there for me to review over and over. It was comforting to say the least. I've adopted it for my life's motto. When times got tough and challenging over the years I just remember, "move forward and do what you have to do". Now, just go write that down and read it often. Have you seen some of the vids on his divorce? Some of his actions towards his ex were not very nice or friendly at all. Just sayin. I know he hung out and maybe couch surfed with people in Mt. Clemens when he first started out. That’s the closest he ever came to Detroit. I think his ex-girlfriend (baby mama) ended up moving to Detroit from Romeo, MI. Just visiting someone who lives there doesn’t make one a Detroit native.
