I think as a youngster he felt he wasn't attractive, probably didn't get the girls in school etc. I was ugly in my teen years and when I hit my 20s people started asking me out and I thought they were making fun of me because I couldn't possibly believe anyone could find me attractive. That feeling never leaves you, even as you get older. I think Johnny probably relates to that despite being ridiculously handsome.

His paintings are beautiful. His music is insanely good. And there is no better actor in the Gen X generation that comes close to the talent of Johnny. And the man dropped out of high school in 10th grade, headed for LA from KY without a plan and ended up selling ink pens living out of his car. Then he met Nicholas cage who pegged him talented for acting and introduced him around. I was in about 4th grade and I was having a huge sleepover at my house like 16-17 girls. We watched that movie and we all were like “ omg who is the hot guy in the bed with the headphones on who just got drug into the bed and killed? I found out the next day and I have followed his career ever since. The only movie I have not seen is pirates 6 and I’m just going to have to leave that to my imagination because I won’t be going. No Johnny Depp there is no captain jack sparrow.
