The lawyer was so aggressive to the point that he's putting words into JD's mouth. JD said he didn't testified seeing Vodka bottle handles but the lawyer kept insisting that he indeed testified to it earlier. Good thing JD was not letting his guard down even for just a second during the whole trial.

That was totally ridiculous. I hope the jury got that as JD pointed out they are talking about broken glass and fragments of bottles at this point, so there was no way to identify something w/a handle.

The entire time he's popping questions without waiting for objection to be lodged in, and before Johnny's even finished answering. I've seen other lawyers say Rottenborn is a good lawyer because of this but I as an observer, and I reckon jury as well finds this annoying and agressive. I don't want to hear questions, I want to hear answers to these questions.

There really doesn't seem like there's a way out, or that the only way out is through it. I'm no JD, I will lose my kids and everything I've worked for over the last decade and a half. I hope things are better for you now; that you found that magical unicorn of a way out. "In the United States, if the prosecution obtains a criminal conviction using evidence that it knows is false, the conviction violates the defendant's constitutional right to due process (e.g., Napue v. Illinois, 1959)" This is for the prosecution in a criminal case, but the point also stands on the defenses side by requiring their disclosing the fact they falsified evidence. It is a violation of a Constitutional right Depending, which is not supposed to be taken lightly, and usually leads to some career destroying consequences for the lawyer regardless of charges. Depending on whether someone on the stand knowingly lied using said evidence (which they knew was false) perjury charges is also on the table. There are many avenues this could take, it's pretty dependent on the situation on how far the repercussions could go.

@@kingludi6800 You've misunderstood the details of the defamation trial........I believe Mr Depp is suing against specific statements specifically related to domestic violence and sexual assault........the statements provided by the opposing counsel imply that Mr Depp was abusive based on his vulgar, angry and colourful language, the same implication is made due to his drug misuse. However, none of those is directly related to domestic violence and sexual assault allegations directed toward him in the op-ed. The burden of proof of course lies with Mr Depp, but the defendant has also not provided reliable evidence or testimony with regards to her allegations. Therefore, their strategy is to lay out the dark side of Mr Depp and let the jury infer domestic abuse on some level based on this characterization of Mr Depp. Such a characterization can be viewed as further defamation of Mr Depp. Simply put, the lack of credible ad reliable evidence from the defendant's side requires them to attack the plaintiff's character. It is the only strategy they have left at this point in the trial.

I am a DV survivor. And I most certainly have said horrible things about my abuser to a friend of mine who's also going to the exact same thing? We can't answer back to our abusers because of pure fear about what the horrible consequences might be? So, as a therapy vent, because we're upset and angry, sending texts to a close friend about our abusers, is the absolutely only way to vent exactly how we're feeling? That's normal. People vent and slagg other people about a horrible boss for example to close work colleagues, behind the bosses, back? It's a normal thing to do? Means nothing? It's just venting out, because you're annoyed about something that you feel isn't right, or shouldn't be happening to you? 🤔

I absolutely agree. U know, asmon said those text messages are very damaging. Do me a favor and go back to them and see for yourself what I am saying. Rottenborn so kindly stated that those texts came directly from JDs phone. So if JD wrote those messages regarding Molly and mackerel and etc.... the direction would surely be OUTGOING right?? Well it isn't. The text messages say "incoming", meaning johnny really didn't write them, just as he stated under oath. Rotternborn playing dirty af. To lie about that is disgusting. Furthermore... Molly is MDMA.... not a human being they were talking about. Further proof, if you look at any other texts rottenborn said johnny sent, the direction clearly shows outgoing, so it obviously isn't something wrong with the phone.

@@aishaalamoudi599 Not a pro, but it doesn't matter. If you watched Rottenborn crossexam Johnny the first time, it's just as aggressive on his part with the objections and aggressive questioning. Camille simply responded in kind, and now Rottenborn is at it again. Have some of the questions been petty? Of course, but they're valid to ask, since both sides are trying to paint the other in the worst light possible. It's part of the job. The key difference, Amber makes it way too easy to be mocked by poorly feigning victimhood and not providing corroborating evidence. Of course, this is a public trial about Johnny Depp. Many people are tuning in. I'd imagine the lawyers would be expected to give as good a showing as they need, not just for this court, but also for everyone else watching. The lawyers' reps are on the line, and Rottenborn has since been renowned as "that lawyer who objected to himself". But that's just karma, lol. edit: Was it Rottenborn who objected to his own question or someone else? Someone from Amber's team anyway.

I find it frustrating how heards defence team consistently beings up his addiction as though its reason to discredit him. Many victims of abuse use drugs to numb themselves to their toxic environment. And being an addict does not make it ok for someone to beat and abuse you. The fact of the matter is, heard claimed Depp was abusive, offered doctored evidence as proof, and proceeded to lie under oath in her testimony of that fact. If he was as gnarly as an addict as the legal team is claiming, why didn't she use that information in the op-ed instead?

I think AH's lawyers ended up strengthening JD's case to an extent tbh, It made it seem that they were trying to forcefully make JD admit to lying in certain circumstances and as soon as JD wanted to question the fact or call them out on it, they get super rude/defensive & try to get him to stop talking or talk over him. Even if JD wanted to state that the text where he was saying he would take any woman he wanted or whatever was not him, they could've easily let him try to argue that it wasn't him and then ask him right after " But it was sent from your phone, was it not? " or something to that extent. By trying to get him to stop talking anytime he veered off a Yes or No, it made it seem that they possibly already knew it was faked or some other evidence could come out discrediting their point. When someone is caught lying, what tends to happen? The liar stutters, forgets their stories, gets defensive, tries to change the conversation, etc. This whole trial, the ones who did this the most were AH's lawyers lol

No doubt, behind his back, like whenever he passed out or was not home (because she had ranted again, getting hysterical, until he fled his own home, so many times & it's very possible none of her arguments made much sense because she was creating those scenes and fights specifically to get him out of the house, out of her way, so that her drug dealers or boyfriends/gfs could come by there for whatever but obviously things she was concealing from him. (I know you'll think that's crazy but I have KNOWN these abusive nuts to do real things like that, seen it happen in my own life and to others in their experiences with narcissists & abusers. She was busy partying with her friends constantly, doing all kinds of drugs & things that were wrong & or illegal. From stealing money from his accounts, colluding with others to do that (imagine your friend has a furniture store, does jewelry repairs etc.) I bet she used friends to bill his accounts for non existent things, then the checks would be sent to these bogus accounts she set up or friend's accounts. For example; she could've bought some object for the house that cost 200,00 and then turn in a faked receipt to his accountant or business mgr. that said it cost $2,600, $4,400 or $30,000.00. He thought he had over 650 million dollars at one point during that time period so you know those amounts would not have raised an eyebrow. She threw a lot of her fits for ulterior motives, you can be sure, motives aside from her biggest motive; wanting him to really deck her & hurt her physically so that she'd have something half decent to extort millions out of him, so she could be set for life financially. Now that all the evidence proves to me what her intent was, from the minute she latched onto him, he needs a forensic accounting of all his financial records from those years, Miss Lilywhite here is probably where a huge chunk of that 650 million made off to.
