To win the case Depp's lawyers need to prove her accusations are false and hurt him financially. This witness is key to the _hurt him financially_ part. So of course, Heard's lawyers are going to do whatever they can to make sure the jury hears as little of what he has to say as possible. On an unrelated note, Heard's lawyers are coming off as really awful people. That law firm/work environment must be highly toxic.

The opposing council is allowed to ask the witness to stick to a question and not expand every single time a question is asked. The judge agreed with him and ordered the witness to stop expanding. In fact she told the witness if he wants to expand, he will get the opportunity to do so on redirect. That’s why there’s a redirect.

@@twiztedclown so that’s the job of the attorneys to ask the questions and allow the witness to “tell the story”. It’s on the attorney to formulate the question for the answer they want testified to. A smart attorney knows how to do that without objection. They are practiced in this methodology. Here say objections are fair. You shouldn’t be testifying to something you didn’t participate in. You can’t testify to things you heard from someone else (could be untrue) or you weren’t involved in (you again were told happened). That’s perfectly fair and guiding principle for testimony. A recurring theme in all the court testimony I've heard thus far, is the incredible amount of money/costs that Mr. Depp spent/incurred. Whether it is paying all of the parties' marital debt, furnishing his then-wife, her relatives and friends with free, luxury accommodations, paying a massive divorce settlement on a very brief marriage, incurring massive (and ongoing) attorney's fees & related expenses, losing out on lucrative work opportunities, etc. It's really very sad. This man didn't come from wealth and worked hard to acquire what he gained. Both parties' reputations are in the proverbial gutter, the minutest details of their private lives being played out for public consumption and dissection. Smh.

I like the judge. She was kind to the cpa and didn’t seem to appreciate the way he was treated. As an accountant myself, I quite liked the cpa. He is knowledgeable and worth every penny he charges. The partners at the last cpa firm I worked charged over $400 an hour in Florida and weren’t worth half that. They didn’t care about the work and padded invoices all the time. If you work with CPA’s you can the ones who are dedicated and knowledgeable vs the ones who are just b.s. salesman who push work off on others because they aren’t capable. This gentleman was older but appears very competent in the way he discusses the matters.

JD is one of a kind, a genuine human being who loved his people and allowed to be surrounded by people whom he allowed into his life who also loved him genuinely. The world has now seen clearly and understand who this woman is......

I’d be ashamed to talk to such a well spoken man in the way Rottenborn did. It says “Education” in his CV, it appears to me he received none.

AH legal team is nasty, there is no other way to describe how low they have fallen. Always disrespectful, pushing trying to cover the lies, they are so desperate at this point that they are only getting nastier and nastier. Makes me sick the way this lawyer treated this man, and of course, is not convenient for them to let this gentleman talk, it would bring out more of the dirtiness behind this case. I hope Johnny wins the case.

This old fella seems very good at what he does! He remembers all the payments he did from years ago and he remembers all the facts so clearly! He sounds very honest and humble and clearly is very good at what he does! Though i am worried what happened when his statement from earlier didn’t add up with what he is saying in this video but i hope nothing happens to him! He really seems like a good fella!

What statement didn't add up? I think I remember him saying I answered differently on the same question at beginning of questioning in deposition to live in court now because "Amber's team was being very slimy with definitions and would use words in a twisted way to make it fit their narrative!" My version of his words. I think he said exactly that "you didn't define that word before" so I answered differently because of your lack of definition. In my opinion I believe he felt scammed abs showed that on his face when he used different legal/busswords to paint a certain narrative. It woupd be despicable and if they question it but he can explain

@@Bulletz4Breakfast13 it was his comment about a situation that could be "catastrophic" to Johnny. In a prior statement he has used that word but when be was asked if the same situation was catastrophic, he said no.

@@cassandrakeithley1402 I think the use / interpretation of catastrophic are different. The news was catastrophic in that he had a big problem financially that needed to be fixed. But it was not catastrophic for him to be able to handle them. ANOTHER example of the pettiness of AH lawyers. As for him being aware of Johnny being late ... he only had 3rd party awareness, that doesn't mean its true or false - you just don't know.

48:40 was one of my favorite moments in this whole part of the case. JD’s attorney’s clearing his throat as he walked to the podium spoke wonders!! You could hear in that tiny sound just how much he was looking forward to this “redirect the witness”. He was like “ok we sat here in silence long enough, now let’s just destroy every pathetic attempt of a point AH’s attorney tried to make.”

Mr. Rottonborn lives up to his family name. He's like a movie lawyer, stepping on every witness he cross-examines. I keep waiting for him to ask to "treat the witness as hostile"
