@@MrSpeedyAce you watched JW4 yet? The incendiary around a with the overhead camera angle had everyone losing their shit in the theater. Perkins, the guy outside the Red Circle, Morpheus, Common, Bronn, The cute dog and the guy with a cute dog, Ip Man and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone. So yeah he is a killer and he doesn't have problems with killing, but definitely doesn't enjoy it and avoids it if he can afford it. Yup, there were plenty of times where Wick, with a nearly 2 foot and 100lb advantage, could've been destroying them with punches when he had them mounted or clinched Instead he kinda slap chops them out of respect That one guy who he chopped on the side like 6 times instead of caving his ribs in, that was the same respect they showed him at the start It probably explains why he went almost exclusively for throws, it's the most damage he could do without going overboard with 100+lb weight advantage. The only two throws he put his weight into ended the whole fight, one after another. For gods sake he's as tall as they are, when he's on his knees

Which speaks even more of what a literal fucking beast John Wick is. To then fight someone even tougher with id say around 10 percent left in the stanima tank. It’s interesting how the phrase “be seeing you” is used in the franchise. Originally, Viggo’s use of it was basically a last taunt. He was dying, so “be seeing you, John” was saying you’ll die soon enough, and neither of us are ending up in any sort of good afterlife. If there is a hell, Viggo knows he will go there, and he’s telling John that he will be too. It’s used fairly often in the series past that point. Ruby Rose’s character basically uses it in the exact same way and same circumstance. Cassian uses it as more a threat (he can’t keep fighting but he intends to come after John again when he can.) I could be wrong, but I think this is the only time it’s used in a non-dark way. John says it as a way to say “this fights over, no reason anyone needs to die.” Wonder if that’s just coincidence, or if there is more of a pattern to it I just never picked up on before.

A very honorable fight overall, the two Raid actors had points where they could have easily killed Wick because of their advantage in numbers and having blades but they just want a good fight they don't actually care about killing him. In return for their mercy and after proving he still has fight in him and acquiring a sword, the three have a silent conversation acknowledging each other and just pretending they're knocked out so nobody has to die. They gave John a bunch of chances, so when he gave them a chance to take the loss and fake like they got knocked out, they made the right decision.

They knew his legend and felt he deserved more respect than being caught off guard. They wanted to fight him at his best and just have fun with it. They could have killed him when they ambushed him though.

Love the fact that John Wick gave mercy to those 2 assassins as they gave mercy for him, very respectful fight scene between that trio

Two of the best martial arts choreographers in the world sparring with John Wick? Glad to see the Writers respected them enough to let them live and give John a damn good fight.

1:28 I always love how this franchise treats violence like a day at the office. One moment they are trying to kill each other and literally one second later they are talking like they are around the water cooler.

@@MrBon3sz Yeah, they;re super nerfed in this movie to match Keanu's burly fighting style, when they fight in the Raid, it's speedy because Iko Uwais is their weight and speed.
