It normally doesnt effect me when someone outside my family passes but this hit hard. Like Fouad said, a ray of light. In an industry where (let be honest) people love to talk shit about others, I've never heard a negative word about John. He said you'll always have chances to screw people progress in life but thats not something he would ever do. Thats the true measure of the man. I've spent today watching his videos jusy to hear "Alright, hi everyone". He will be missed by everyone. My thoughts and condolences to his family and friends, especially his boys. RIP Mountain Dog!

There's been a few tragedies in the industry in the past few year's but i don't think I've seen so many video's of people showing such raw emotion before as i have the past two day's for John. And i think that in itself is a testament to how universally loved he was. I've learnt so much from his video's in recent year's and a lot of stuff i do in the gym, is from watching him. Such as always starting leg day with leg curls, starting shoulder day with rear delts, incorporating heavy side partials and using "Meadow" rows when wanting to add a bit variety to back day. Reading he had passed hit me hard. And i think more than anything, it was because he seemed such a nice guy and the world is now worse off without him. So to hit someone as hard as it did me, just being a fan - I'd hate to think what yourself and many others close to him are going through. Stay strong Fouad, and RIP John "mountain dog" Meadows. 🙏🏼

John was such an inspirational human being that before I knew about his backstory, his character and respect for other automatically made those outside him strive to be as kind and wholesome in intent. I thank you and him for showing the heart above the product. Prayers and aid to his family

John had a light that shined overly brighter then most, so bright that you could see the goodness in his soul, I really feel for his wife, children, and true friends 🙏🙏🙏

He came across as a passionate and kind person, striving for others to achieve excellence. As a father I imagine what it must be like for his boys to wake up every morning and realise their hero is gone. Not to mention his wife. Truly upsetting. RIP.

Glad you managed to share this Fouad, i'm sorry for the loss you and all of his friends and family must be feeling. It's great to hear that the person we have been following for so long was just as great in person as he came across.

Man, this is real. I really aspire to be able to talk about my feelings this way someday. I really appreciate this, and I know John and everyone else does too. Let his memory live forever.

Why can't you talk about your feeling now?

If you cant talk about your feelings, write them down, or focus on them when they occur so you can process the emotion. Easier said than done, but if you do the work, it works for you. Makes life a little less hard.

I'm crying in my car on my lunchbreak.. knew I shouldn't have watched this. He seemed like the most genuine person. Not in this industry or any industry, just in general. Such a sad loss for his dear family and this planet. R.I.P John Meadows.

I was heartbroken when I heard the news. He was such a friendly, kind, and enthusiastic person. I remember I left a comment once, saying how great a teacher he was, and he replied saying that teaching was his favourite thing in life. A gentleman and a friend to all. I still miss you John,

John is an absolute legend, no question. He taught us all a library worth of knowledge in the world of lifting, and many other lessons we didn't even realize we were being taught. John was one of the only people on earth that was so genuine that it came through even in his videos. I never met the man, but it feels like I've lost a great friend. I'm glad he's with Jesus now, having a great day.
