I am a 52 yr old life long student with a B.S. in Environmental Science with an emphasis in geology, hydrogeology and soil science. I have over 25 years of practical work experience, mostly studying retail gasoline properties that have discharged all kinds of petroleum products into the subsurface for one reason or another. I have worked in many diverse geomorphical areas throughout the northeastern U.S. I still have A LOT to learn! I have listened to Randall Carlson speak several times. Sometimes with open minded people like Joe and Graham, other times with sceptics who tend to be arrogant, dismissive and very defensive of their beliefs. Often, they do not present their theories and ideas with anywhere near the elegance, class, humility, and clarity of Mr. Carlson. I am baffled that his theories on the scabland floods are not accepted by more academics? I have never heard anyone present evidence that debunks his theories with any real conviction? Keep at it Randall, you are a special person and a rare breath of fresh air in the stench of stale academia.

No one has time to rebut over generic ramblings on podcasts. He rants on about people saying “climate change denier”, but who really cares about that label? He needs to make a real claim and present the evidence in a compact and explicit form, you know, a paper. Prepare a paper and submit it for review. Become a scientist instead of a podcaster. Frankly, he doesn’t because he is floating about charging windmills and fighting straw men.

Go listen to his interview with Danny Jones. MIND BLOWING. The research Randall does, and the results he discovers are amazing.

Let's not overlook the bit where Randall spoke to something he didn't know much about, acknowledged that fact, and thanked Joe for pointing him to a paper to learn more. This is how we should handle gaps in our own knowledge instead of faking it or ignoring others studies. What a great example this gentleman is!

It's free because he'd have a hard time finding anybody to pay for it. The whole Younger Dryas Impact theory is unsubstantiated (not to say it isn't true) and inconsistent with global evidence, and some of the later stuff he gets into is just flat out silly (everything after he picks up the calculator.)

Probably because everything Graham and Randall say has been massively debunked, Grahams Amazon show is nothing but made up fairy tales, I got sucked in by both of them, until I did my homework, nothing they say adds up unfortunately, they both twist the truth to make us think there is this big conspiracy, it all sounds good, and so believable, but so easily debunked

Yeah although I like to see a variation in the type of guests he has on, there have been too many comedians. There are good topics they discuss, but too much of it is about the life of a comedian. It gets repetitive.

Joe doesn’t lay traps for his guests. He doesn’t proceed with a list of “gotcha”questions meant to embarrass and discredit his guests. He doesn’t constantly interrupt his guests in the middle of their explanations, or right when they’re about to make a point. He’ll disagree, but never dismiss or attack. He listens to understand, not to respond. He lets his guests talk, instead of dominating the interview with his own opinions or positions. This is why he’s becoming one of the most followed interviewers. People like Cathy Newman need to get the memo.

I choose to be an optimist despite going through a lot of traumatic events in life thus far. There is still too much intrigue and too much beauty in the world for me to be pessimistic... It's just the more enjoyable way to ride this wave.

@@pfwtc be careful what you wish for, because in order for the public to take a cataclysm scenario seriously it would have to experience or be threatened by one. Then every Bill Nye sell out parrot would be clawing to get the credibility actual scientists like Carlson have gained through their effort.

Yet we continue to repeat mistakes and self destruction over and over again. Through community and compassion we evolve.

Joes able to articulate everything we want to ask about or know, while allowing the guests to speak freely... being a good listener is so hard to do... mad props to him and all his amazing guests

Returning to watch this again, there's now more evidence of impacts discovered recently. It's about time Joe had Randall back on the show!

Wow, I just sat through 3 hours of this. I was mesmerized with Randall Carlson's knowledge and with Joe allowing him to talk. I wish I had a school teacher like you Mr. Carlson, I may have gone in a different direction with my life.

These ARE the type of people we need teaching the youth today!!!

8 years on. This is still one of the very best episodes of JRE. The way the information just flows seamlessly through through the whole 3 hours and never gets dull. Truly wonderful stuff.

Also the Annunaki aka Anunna or Atlanteans were a vast civilization with the city of Poseidon as its capital. Who's to say that there wasn't multiple Atlantean societies ? The azores fits the slot but also I can definitely see another civilization using that Richat area before it was wiped out as seen from Satellite images of the flow coming from the Mediterranean or Atlantic. Airbursts hitting northern Canada causing the ice sheets of that time to melt and rise the water levels as other air burst events occur around the planet.

Can somebody get a message to Joe Rogan? Joe, please, for the love of all that is good, keep getting more guest like Randal Carlson, Graham Hancock, and Dr. Amit Goswami. The stuff with the MMA fighters is cool, and I love hearing from Dr. Rhoda Patric once in a while, I'm even an avid hunter so the meat eater gang is cool too, but the science and ancient history is just too fcuking cool for words! Thanks to Joe and his podcast I consider myself to be a much more educated man on a number of subjects. His podcast has inspired me do my own research, read some books and articles, and investigate things I never had any interest in. That's a powerful thing! He's really making a difference with this podcast. Keep up the good work Joe!

Id watch for sure, but my only concern is that he’d be saying most of the same things he says here. I doubt his stance on anything has changed since, and I guarantee if he had any new compelling information, Joe would have already tried getting him back in the studio (with Hancock as well, i’d imagine). But like I said, when (not if) he’s invited back on the show, I’m listening whether he has new info or not.

I love how all the negative comments are made by genius researchers, that took decades of off their lives to research and travel the world to look at the evidence for themselves and present the facts for all of us to see. This Randall dude doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about, he didn't even show graphs/pictures! wtf!?... Nope! Randall please ignore these trolls and keep sharing us your knowledge. History shows us through humans advancement, that we have so much more to learn, in so many areas, that we had never considered before.
