@@DanFan2042 Completely true. The town has about 800 residents, surrounded by wheat fields mostly. Seeing the look on my old families faces when Joe was writhing around on his back on stage was priceless. The shirts were blue with Declaration of Independence type writing , some saying about the Declaration of Joe Cocker. 1976. I gave a couple away and wore mine till it was threadbare. I’m speculating about the reason they stopped but why else would that band of freaks hippies and gypsies stay in a one horse town so near the border for so long? No doubt they were indulging heavily in intoxicants. My uncle actually got paid for the use of his field, I never asked him what the form of tender was…😂 One morning they all just drove the buses out of town heading South toward the border crossing in Coutts, Alberta/ Sweetgrass, MT. 12 km. away.

Pardon the musical pun, but this was off the charts. Everybody was playing their hearts out, and Joe was on fire.
Another wonderful, beautiful soul gone. I hope you're in heaven with the Good Lord. If I make it I hope to meet you and shake your hand. I grew up listening to your music. RIP Joe Cocker
Love the big brass sound with this, awesome

You need to check out the movie from which the song comes: "BRASS" about a colliery Brass Band in the north of England. The colliery is being shut down....(Margaret Thatcher era.) "...grim times up north, lad., tha knows." (Well worth watching if only for Tara Fitzgerald.......)Drool....drool...)

It's sad to me. I'm an ol rock n roller, 62 this year and we're losing all the greats. The CRAP that's being rolled out today is so mindless and there's just no heart or soul in it. The greatest era's in music are gone, passed on and they're not going to return. I'm so glad I've been a part of this era. I saw so many great concerts in my youth....man oh man. Great memories!
Don’t hear music like this anymore 👌😍😍😍🇦🇺❤️❤️❤️
The amazing Mr Joe Cocker so sweet singing from his ankles RIP Joe and thanks so much

FREAKIN' BRILLIANT! I saw Joe in Sydney Australia in the early 1970's!
I am not a Yorkshire man but I lived 15 wonderful years, first in Leeds, then in Sheffield in the 70s and early 80s. My kids were born in Sheffield. People sometime ask me 'what is Sheffield like - or what was it like?' I say listen to Joe Cocker. That's what is was like.

I like seeing Joe with a small army of musicians and others on stage with him. Reminds me of Mad Dogs and Englishmen.
Oh, Joe, Joe, Joe, how we miss you...just to have been alive while he was. I was offered two free tickets to Woodstock by two fellow FSU students in July of 1969 -- and, what an idiot, I said, "In a field??? What about bathrooms? No thanks!" The two kids who went were never the same...and, of course, Joe Cocker's Woodstock appearance shot him to US fame, seemingly overnight. What a unique pearl you will always be, Joe. Thank you so much. (And whatever genius put this orchestra around him should get an award!)
One of the greatest. He had a style all his own. I love that voice! Great orchestration. Just an all around awesome performance by him and everyone with him.
Joe, you can still make the worst days much better. Miss you so
