Lyrics :
Baby take off your coat
Real slow
Take off your shoes
I'll take off your shoes,girl
Take off your dress
Yes, yes, yes
You can leave your hat on
You can leave your hat on
You can leave your hat on
Go over there, turn on the lights
All the lights
Come back here, stand on that chair
Baby, that's right
Raise your arms up in the air
And now shake 'em
You give me reason to live
You give me reason to live
You give me reason to live
You give me reason to live
Sweet darling, (you can leave your hat on)
You can leave your hat on
Baby, (you can leave your hat on)
Just leave your hat on
Sax solo :
(You can leave your hat on)
(You can leave your hat on)
Suspicious minds are talkin'
They're tryin' to tear us apart
They don't believe in this love of mine
But they don't know what love is
They don't know what love is
They don't know what love is
Aaaaa,don't know what love is
I know what love is !
There ain't no way
(You can leave your hat on)
Just leave your hat on,aaaaaa....
(You can leave your hat on)
O,do that for me girl
(You can leave your hat on)
Baby just leave your hat on
Aaaaaaaa......just leave your hat on

Oh my Heavens. So absolutely great. I’m 84 and you can’t hear this without a little movement. My husband gone now 16 years (cancer) we were dancing now and then. This will always be The Full Monty n 12 1/2 weeks. Oh yeah. But Phil Collins is my boy. His music n his life brought me thru many a hard time. Listen to music every morning. Bad times grab you then turn on music. Like Mr Blue Sky. I’m a old gramma. Big family. Two Marine Vietnam brothers, son a Marine n a great Air Force daughter. I’m so lucky to have had people who have gone on, but know we will all join up one day. Blessings to us American Citizens! We sure as heck need it now!! But always remember who we Are and we Don’t give up🇺🇸🇺🇸Semper Fi!!
Now...That's what I'm talkin about!
For all who new joe, personally joe is missed. Enough sayed!
Sax man somehow stole the show from Joe Cocker. Absolutely incredible performance from everyone involved!
I was in a restaurant "The Downside Risk" in Scottsdale AZ many years ago and this song came on. Two beautiful women sitting at a table with a lucky fellow got up and started dancing. It was quite sexy and I will always remember this song and that moment Thanks Joe!

I'm nearly 50 right now and glad to visit a open-air-concert from Joe back in the late 90's in germany. Listening to his voice live in the middle of the audience was one of the greatest adventures i ever made! One day before Joe Cocker left us all, Udo Jürgens, a famous german Singer/Songwriter/Entertainer died. Both of them were idols of mine in my youthtime, whenever the kinda music is veeery difficult. Miss them both... Rest in peace guys!

Joe and his band appeared in a concert at a casino in Henderson , Nevada. I wasn't able to get tickets, but arrived in the parking lot just before the horns introd this song. The minute it started, people in surrounding Walmart parking lots, in the casino parking lot stopped. People came out of the casino to hear it. When this magnificent song ended, the hundreds of people in the parking lots were cheering just as loud as those in the concert. To think that music can stop people to listen is a monument to such talent. I will never forget that moment.

So difficult to land in tight band like this as a rhythm player. Tight!
My first ever LP was Mad Dogs and it's been an ongoing pleasure since then 😊
Saw Mr. Cocker at a place called Shaboo in Willimantic, CT circa 1978. We arrived late. Standing room only so we kept moving forward. Ended up sitting on a couple of monitors on stage enjoying the show. The man was dressed exquisitely. Looked like he had a $300 belt on. His suit was probably Italian. Nice. My girlfriend was offered a line by one of his roadies. Approx 45 years ago. Seems like six months. Anyone remember Shaboo ?
