Love the energy of Punk! Joan rocked! With style! With this band, The Runaways and more! She deserved this hit being #1 for so many weeks even though a cover. She put her shtick in it.

1980, I was about to start my first year away from Catholic boarding school and into public school. My biker friends threw a party for me and unveiled my first Harley, a black sportster, customized in many way but also customized to carry a chick..First morning and I got a very loud 8 biker escort to my school parking lot. Everyone was there. I got off the bike, told my buddies I loved them and combed my slick hair back and walked right by everyone without even a peep from a single person nor a glance from myself. I was immediately he talk of the school. Made a lot of new girlfriends, gave them rides but there was one leather clad chick I dug. She wore black leather and had that foxy attitude but as often as I made myself available and tried to speak with her she just walked on by shaking her ass....I was wounded...but then, maybe she remembers me when I was a Nerd..

Joan Jett open the Queen concert? Wow, if yes the two are great, Joan it's my favorite girl of the Rock!

I am a very big fan of artists like Cher, Heart, Steven Tyler, Tina Turner... And many other 80s artists. HOWEVER I admit that as wonderful as they are, they have lost some of their magical music with age, for their voices don't sound like the did in the 80s. Joan Jett is the one and only exception. I saw her live just a few weeks ago & she sounds just like she did in the 80s, acts the same, and rocks just as hard. In my opinion, Joan looks like she is still in her 30s. She may have on a lot of makeup or get work done on her face, but artists like Dolly Parton & Reba do that too, but you can still tell that they look 50/60 years old. Joan, to me, looks like a young wild woman rocker just as she did many many years ago. When I saw her live, she didn't need tons of backup to sound AMAZING, she didn't need a break or a costume change to catch her breath- she just kept rocking and jamming on her guitar and doing those mini rock screams in her songs. She truly is a talent with a great ageless voice. If I saw a video of her in 2015 but it said it was recorded in the 80s, I would not be able to tell the difference if it wouldn't be for video quality.

See Heart is the same as well to me. They sound the same & still has all the power they did in the 70s, 80s etc. They even look amazing as well. I don't even think they had worm done & they look amazing. I'm actually going to see Heart live this Friday in Ohio. Joan Jett & Cheap Trick are gonna be there as well. Let's see if they still got it all hahahahah. But I agree with you on Joan

First concert I ever went to was Joan at Dartmouth College, 1986. She absolutely rocked, awesome show! She definitely made my teenage heart go pitter-pat.

Agree, I've been to an Alice Cooper concert recently and the first 7-10 lines of people in front of the stage were pretty active, I was with them and we all jumped, sang and shouted, we even got to talk during some fases of the show just to discuss about how great Alice was; the other 1000 people were just stuck on they're phones making videos.

I went to her concert at the Fresno Fairgrounds in 2018 and everyone in the audience (including me) were loud af 😂
