Hi. I had a small music shop in Turkey . I used to sell cassettes. I'm 59 now. They were the most important famous people I met in my life. They were so normal, sincere and gentlemen. No complimants or anything. We talked for about 20-25 minutes and drank tea with Robert. After the concert was finished I tried to learn where do they would stay @t day I waited by the hotel. When Robert went out I kissed him and hugged him. He Asked me about the previous day's concert performance.I said time passed so fast like a dream. I said I came about 1000 km from my town to İstanbul for the concert he said please drive carrefully. I took LZ 3 LP which I've bought in İtaly when I was 21 y.o. in 1983 and they signed the LP's.While I was waiting for Jimmy, he was shopping at a peddler who sold cheap imitation watches near the hotel street. I talked to him for 5-6 minutes. He was also gentleman, sincere like a normal person. I loved them more because they are the most important band of history (according to me) and so normal people like a teacher or friends. Lucky me. I've also met Michael Lee. RİP Michael.Lee and Bonzo. You're the greatest drummers of all. Emin Kurnaz Emin Elektronik Adana

Wonderful concert here. Just correcting this comment - I said I saw them in 1973 - it was 24th February 1972 in Auckland. They'd released Led Zep IV already, but not in New Zealand. They held the release back until the day after the concert. So 20,000 of us heard Stairway to Heaven for the first time, live. The audience couldn't believe it - we were were in shock. I was just 50 feet from the stage. The greatest rock concert I've ever experienced.

This is sth complete different to the guitar solos out there, which I many times just bear hoping it´s gonna end soon, because they are so ego played stuff. coreycox2345 I think the page and plant revival was a lost opportunity, you can hear they aren’t just playing the same songs, they added some creativity, things they either picked up along the way or that got left behind during zeppelin

My favorite Zeppelin song since it's first release. Of course they never made a bad song, and there are so many that are just as good as this, but this one has always touched me on a level I cannot match. The gentleness, then the driving rhythms, the up/down - it's as if it is making love to me! And the words are so good. This is on my "memorial" playlist I've given to my children to be played when I pass over. Love seeing Robert and Jimmy together here! Thank you, Robert Plant, for all of the amazing music you have, and continue to bring to this world.

The drummer might have been energetic but the song starts out slow tempoed and when the drum come in its a bit fast for how Page started it out. Obviously hes tryin to hit the drums hard but hes no bonzo. Its like his adenaline is just a bit much. Thats why when Bozo passed, the band was over. Not a drummer that could replace him. I guarantee Bonzo would not have played this tempo. But hey, he wasnt Bonnam & im sure he did the best he coukd. I dont believe he knew page was gonna take a solo the way he did. Its as though the drummer was struggling a bit keeping the same beat as the rythym..the original Zeppelin was an improvising band and they all listened closely to what the other was doing. Page, didnt sound as good to me at the slower tempo. As though it didnt come as naturally and the bam tempo goes full throttle. A bit much variation on the tempo. But hey its live and thats just what you get sometimes. Still would have enjoyed seeing them perform even if they did seem a bit out of sync

Specifically to Led Zeppelin Boots: Firstly, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your work bringing Zeppelin bootlegs to such a high standard so such a huge audience of fans can enjoy and experience the magic of Led Zeppelin live. Secondly, I fully agree with you that this is one of Jimmy Page's best live solos. The phrasing, the emotion, the technical skill and the colours he brings are all exceptional. I am a guitarist with over 40 years experience and recognise these things. And Boots, dont listen to all those who say Jimmy was sloppy and/or under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Yes he had his problems but you've only got to listen to Zeppelin at the Forum in Los Angeles in 1977, when he was supposedly at the height of his "addiction ' to realise nobody could play like that if they were as deep in addiction as people make out. Further, Jimmy himself has said around this period he was not eating properly, relying on banana daiquiri's, and it's not surprising he lost weight. Yes there are below par performances but Jimmy had such a huge weight of expectation on him every time he went on stage, and that would have taken its toll on anyone. There wasn't the medical help and support available there is now. Those days you just got on with it best you could. Tha fact Jimmy came through and not just got through but was able to give us a performance like this is testament to the man's strength of character. He truly is one of the best guitarists in the rock world, and in his prime, say 68 to 73, was THE best.
