    Was it not because of the "tiny" scandal about him? That is why he also did not appear for a cameo in Ocean's 8. He was occused for being not totally honest about the Weinstein-thing if I remember right.

    I watch Jimmy's show regularly and I find him funny as well as compassionate, which is a perfect balance. But he's usually more savage than this, and it seems to me that the Academy Award people/the writers censored him a lot. This was very average and sorry to say; not as nearly good as the year before. Having said that, I still think he did a decent job and would love to see him host again but next time with more freedom to his speech. Free Jimmy!

    +Kalergi plan, the Great European Replacement All Matt damin said was that these accusations are not te be taking lightly, and that just because somebody is accused of rape or sexual harrasment doesn't mean that it's true, and that padding a woman on the back without her consent is not the same as raping her. If i call you a murderer right now it doesn't mean you are a murderer, there should be evidence and a trial, or if you push a guy in the street you also shouldnt be convicted as a murderer. Thats what matt damon said and the Feminazis started calling him a rapist and a women hater. If saying you need evidence before convicting somebody makes you a racist and women hater i think 95% of the people in the wester world are racists and women haters.

    O think the women also have to take part of the blame. Why go to a man's hotel room at 1 or 2 in the am. Why did they say something. Katie Couric knew how Matt was but did say a thing. You got feet run or get out. But they wanted the fame and money so they did it. They wanted an Oscar. There are plenty of jobs people do they may not like it, they are treated with no respect but they want the money. It's ok to call it out but so many years some were on dates. And the way they dress everything expose. These are men who think the casting couch is real. It's like putting meat in front of a hungry animal and some women like to flirt to get what they want. Just look at the Bachelor see what the women on there do to just get a rose and win. So it got a both ways. Women do things that men do things women want. Like why go out with a married man women know their married then cry when he does it to them.

    Finally someone said it. Equal opportunity for work is understandable (maybe) considering how Hollywood really is American show business and I'm a believer of making your own people shine first or prioritizing giving them work before expats or foreigners the same way I would expect Canadian government to give Canadian citizens priority when it comes to jobs etc. But really, when it comes to acting prestige and awards, it should solely be based on talent. Otherwise it becomes biased and the award becomes frankly, moot or it can lose respect/credibility, rather.

    Just Duffy I don't think it's about the sexual harassment jokes, I thought those were pretty funny. I think what they're talking about is the sideways jabs at Fox News and the Whalberg thing. I really don't think it's a huge deal, nor does it take away from the speech but it is overall pretty political

  • @NicKeLas

    @NicKeLas

    6 жыл бұрын

    How will we know what was there if we don't watch it? And no, no one is crying. Simply stating, that it was very predictable and more about internal Hollywood stuff than about movies and entertainment. It felt like watching something while holding a table and going: Harvey Weinstein - check, La-La-Land situation - check (double check, triple check), black nominees and presenters (actually talking about the fact, there is nothing wrong with them themselves) - check, equal amount of male and female nominees in certain categories - check, and so on and so on. Now, if they didn't talk about at least some of those issues, that would be surprising. But they did and that was kinda the whole thing. It had nothing else to offer. And since they stream it and heavily advertise it, we, the viewers, have a right to share our impressions and say what we did and didn't enjoy. Otherwise, they should just gather there, discuss whatever they want and tell us the results the next day.

    Thank you for such a great opening. The whole show was good without low blows and it was truly a time to look back at the amazing 90 years of amazing movies being celebrated! You are so good at this, I hope they ask you to host again next year. You kept it classy, funny, and serious all at once. Bravo Sir!
