For me it's mostly how consistently genuine Sean is, and how much unparalleled time and effort he puts into setting up the interview and making the guest as comfortable as possible while having them open up to being themselves. Keeps the show fresh.

This is my favorite episode so far! Not only does Jimmy Kimmel SHRED those wings like a real boss, he keeps a good flow of conversation as if he and Sean have been buddies for so long. HUGE RESPECT TO JIMMY after seeing this episode. Seems like a genuine guy

I have watched dozens of Hot Ones videos this last week and Jimmy is probably one of the only guests who actually eats the whole wings! I have seen a lot of them just giving one small bite and is really cool to see somebody so devoted to the cause! One of the best and funniest interviews!

Jimmy's mind runs on 3x. The perfect meeting between two professional interviewers.

A harmonica was so mean because every single breath is pain. But after the desk incident and pranks Jimmy kind of deserved it. And he took it pretty well. :)

Really enjoyed this. I love seeing people like jimmy acting so down to earth. Usually they have a show to run and questions to ask but here he is the one who is forced to talk.

I love how he dove into those wings, including the last dab wings.

I just absolutely love that in season one this was kind of just a quirky little offbeat thing that some celebs took a chance on, and nowadays it seems like the Hot Ones gauntlet is a right of passage for anyone who is anyone. Great to see some of these people at their most vulnerable stages under the heat.

The way celebs watch the other episodes to see how their colleagues do and how they talk about it or them or how their family or friends told them they have to do it…..just separates this from every other interview out there. Sincerely a genius idea

Its really awesome to see Hot Ones as it is now. I used to watch it when it started and it was just a gimmick but now its turned into a staple form of press. Its fun to see Sean interview people who hosts like Kimmel interview on a regular basis. I do hope that they can bring back people for a second or a third time. It'd be fun to see guys like Simu Liu or Jeremy Renner do a second or third Hot Ones.

I love it when the guests say, “…interesting…” about Sean’s questions. It shows he’s dug deep into a person’s background and then asking deep, probing questions.

When he says “this is The show with hot questions and even hotter wings” I always think he’s gonna say and even hotter guests. Like every time.

It can’t be said enough, this show is all about Sean and he always goes above and beyond. He is such an inspiration about making the most of what is in front of you. What a fucking legend

I think I see what your trying to say but I don't like how you said it. The show is all about the guest. But the reason it's so good is because Sean is so good at what he does. He is the backbone and is the reason the show is as good as it is. But the show is not about Sean.

@@yesman2678 As long as we're arguing... No the show is not about the wings. The wings are the obstacle to overcome but it's an interview show and thus is about the guest. Of course they were complimenting Sean and I even agreed with them. But in no way is it about the hot sauces. Those are just a means to an end to get reactions and break down the guests guard so they give better answers. The point is the answers the guest gives. Sounds like you need to get a grip if you don't get that :p

The argument you’re making is nonsensical Bc if it were about the guests it would revolve around them moreso then just questions about their past and what they’re doing now. A prime example of this is talk shows and their respective hosts. They’re called the name of the host. If it was how you say it is, it would be called “guest…. With Conan O’Brien” or “late night with _____ and jimmy kimmel” You could say something like SNL is more of an entity that is mainly about the guests they’re having on, which is why the title is SNL and not “we have random celebrities host us!” . But the show is literally called hot ones, and revolves around celebrities eating hot wings. You say that’s there to get celebrities to open up more with their answers but that’s bogus as well, bc yeah I’m sure it brings their guards down but if literally ANYONE actually watched this for the slight chance that they’d learn anything from a particular celebrity that they couldn’t learn from the same celebrity on a different talk show they’d be fools. It’s not enough of a valid argument

One of the best REAL talk show to talk show host back and forth. I didn't know Jimmy this way and now I know why I was drawn to listen to him. Sean I love you and I love that you introduce me to some of my favorite people in this vulnerable way. 😊 I'm thankful for HOT ONES and SEAN EVANS ❤

Jimmy kills it. One of a few celebrities who actually ate majority of the wing. Props.

I think Rowan Atkinson would be a great guest for hot ones, i realize that i don't know shit about fuck about him but yet he's pretty much ingrained in the public consciousness. I've heard he's actually quite smart irl and he's had such a universal appeal and celebrity in the short while he was acting. Ok what I'm saying is i need new mrBean lore to drop

FYI, if anyone wants to try a simulated line-up without the wings and having to buy the sauces, there is a Heatonist tasting room in Brooklyn. Those sauces towards the end of the spectrum are no joke. The 2nd to last had me incapacitated after sipping just a milliliter or so.

Would love to see Bill Hader give this a try, comedy legend!!

Love seeing Jimmy in a longer form, conversational interview outside of the punched-up excitement of late night stuff. It’s humanizing and delightful. The way this show seems to pull great stories and experiences out of folks who are usually larger than life is what makes Hot Ones one of, if not the, best interview formats out there.
