When I was a kid (born in '73), I loved Carson and Letterman. I would watch Carson every night in the living room with my folks and then I'd go to my room and watch Letterman by myself.

This show makes me feel stoned without getting high. It’s great!

The appeal of Dave and Howard to guys in my generation (born in 75) is that they were like us kids in the back of the classroom making snide and sarcastic comments about the teacher. Carson was the guy my parents watched. It is hard to appreciate today, but watching Late Night in the mid 80s was shocking because Dave broke so many rules about what a talk show could do. It was just stupid and goofy. Carson was great, but he was never stupid and goofy. That’s why we love Dave and Howard.

Same age and I watched Carson a fair amount. I really enjoyed him and eventually became obsessed with Letterman for a time. Living near Philly in high school Letterman & Stern ruined my academic career. I'd always stay up to watch Letterman and think, "Howard comes on in 4.5 hours, I should stay up." lol

‘89 born. Grew up watching Conan, letterman, and Jay. Listened to Howard on the radio because my father listened to him every morning, west coast air time. Loved Howard and his evolution professionally and personal growth all the way to Sirius. Respect and appreciate Conan and Letterman today.

I second it! I have tried to watch some of the videos but honestly looking at an old fart with marijuana leaf printed T-shirts and a join in his hand the whole time plus slurring words as he interrupts guests constantly makes it hard to watch. It is almost infantile in my opinion.

Dave and Howard were the rebels of their generation.....then they sold out and became old men.

I am a profound atheist and Bill Maher has made me reconsider religion.

Grew up with southpark, so it was Howard, beavis and butthead, then conan, i liked the irish guy who was on at night Craig, then kimmel,.. everyone else wasn't funny,.. i get dave now,.. going back it seems like carson was the one to be,.. the chin made me hate latenight,.. and this Craig Kilburn dude, i think was his name..

Old work friend picked me up for lunch a while back. 50+ cool guy but still struggling. Car stunk of weed which I don’t care, but my man it struck me. He’s caught in a loop. Bill is obviously successful but man I may be out of line and I’ll admit if I am. It’s just not cool anymore to be stoned at that age. Anyhow reminded me of a lunch hang I had and I love that dude that came and picked me up. But this video made me think of it. Sometimes you’re just old and need to ease into the next phase gracefully. Do what you want private but allowed it’s super embarrassing to me.

I feel like nobody likes to admit they like Bill Maher, and thats just silly, obviously he has a huge fan base and has been a success for 30 f'n years and stronger than ever. But his whole personality and value system seemed to change unlike Bill who is almost the same age. I still thought Howard would be commenting on and fighting against this over the top P.C. society and cancel culture that is permeating our society. He doesn't even seem like the same guy anymore and his longtime fans are very disappointed. Howard just seems to be phoning it in these days.

I know it's hard for people to see past the politics, but as an apolitical person, I really admire their humor, especially Jimmy's and he's got me out of a really bad decision I was about to commit on myself. What is wrong with this Kimmel guy? He looks fidgety, defensive and unnerved. That's what happens when you sell out, I use to like him back in the day. Atleast back then he was funny and just being himself.
