One time I went to a game in 2015 at comerica park. It was the cubs vs tigers. I got there early enough that I thought I might enjoy a smoke.(at that time they used to have a smoking area at the stadium) I go out there and this little old man stands next to me and leans on the railing as I’m leaning on it, and I look over at his hand and I see a Marlins World Series ring… I look at his face and he’s wearing sunglasses but no hat on. But I immediately am the only person out there that realizes it’s friggin Jim Leyland firing up a burner before the game starts. I was terrified to ask him for a picture, and I just say to him “hey Mr Leyland… nobody is gonna believe me that I saw you out here, can I please get a picture with you?” And he says “yea, wait till I’m done with my cigarette and we will make it quick cause I don’t want to get bombarded.” So we just chit chat about the team for a min or 2 and I go and try to take a selfie and I’m having a tough time doing it and the security lady said “you don’t take a selfie with Jim Leyland”, and she took my phone from me and took the picture for me. Sorry for the long post, but usually cool stuff like this rarely happens for me. Lol… Anyway I thanked him and he got to sneak up to his suite area. And everybody at the car plant the next day was so jealous! I told them see, it pays to be a smoker sometimes.

I'm a lifetime Cubs fan but I love Jim Leyland. Classic legend.

Leyland had longevity and was so successful at the job, and also had players' respect .... sometimes I wonder why sportswriters overlook so many talented players and Managers when they vote on HOF. Congratulations Jim. After you're inducted, maybe you can help lobby for other Tigers overlooked by writers, like Lou Whitaker, Mickey Lolich, and Bill Freehan.

This man has given me a lifetime of great memories while enjoying the Game of Baseball ⚾️ ⚾️ Thank you, Skip! Well Deserved.

It was so funny when earlier in the season, Plesac said he would pick Jim Leyland to go faffin around with. Wish I could see that segment again lol. Congrats Jim!

Leyland and Larussa, played golf at the course I worked at, I ended up caddying for them, I have caddied for thousands of millionaires, and a few billionaires, sports stars, celebrities and famous people. Leyland and Larussa stand out the most

Next up: the Barry HOF push.

Jimmy couldn't play for them too. Hitters lost those series for us. We shouldn't have had to worry about bullpen decisions as much as we did due to low scoring tight games every damn time!

The things I remember about this Putz is he lost 3 playoff series' with the Bucs While Danny Murtaugh beat Mantle Maris Berra Ford and Stengel and then beat Weaver's 4 20 game winners in 2 World Series Al Oliver not in da worthless HOF and later Dave Parker not in da Hall.......Cooperstown is a Joke
