10/10 video. Very informative and comedic. I’m definitely considering buying a xaphoon now
This is seriously one of the best videos I have seen. Thank you for creating it.
Very entertaining (and informative)! I like the comedic "takes" between the review. Nicely done!
The tequila bit sold me. Lol

Dude! You are awesome! I just wanted to hear what one sounded like and instead I not only heard what it sounded like but got a lot of useful info with some great humor! Thank you! 😁😂😂😂
Great review for someone like myself who is looking into buying the Xaphoon
I literally never heard of this instrument until today. The cantina band bit sold me. Now I freaking want one! You are hilarious. What a marvelous sense of humor you have. Yet you are also a patient and thorough teacher. 👍👍👍
I play clarinet and just got a pocket sax. Thanks for this info. Loved your costumes and humor...just hilarious!
Great job, I often wondered what they sounded like and I love them!
Very well done Jeremy. Funny, educational, friendly, clear, and lots of nice tips. Thanks.
Ok! You did an amazing job reviewing this instrument!!! Really appreciate your hard work and passion for music!
Hahaha this is such a great review. Funny, and informative. You rock J. Katz.
This is the best demo of the capabilities of the Xaphoon I`ve found yet.
Will get mine in Monday's mail, so excited!
Thank you for this highly informative and entertaining video! It helped me decide on buying one as a gift
Thanks for the demo.. It was fun and educational! I’m already sold on that cool instrument 🎷
Thanks Ben! Glad you liked it!
I just got one. I played clarinet in school, but that was over two decades ago. I hadn't touched a reed instrument since -- and it really showed! This is a really nice instrument to start on, though, being rather inexpensive and having no moving parts to maintain.
Great! Humor and knowledge is a good combo my friend. I have ordered the instrument. :-)
Wow, I love those sounds.
Cleaning out my parents’ house as they’re preparing to move, came across this odd little instrument my dad purchased years ago. They were about to throw it away. Not while I’m around! You make it sound so much better than I do. Probably because of the reverb.
It's not even 8am and I just ordered this purely because of this Video
An absolutely fantastic review, thanks!
Watched this video a while back. Had to scroll forever to see it again but enjoyed your explanation and info. Thanks. Jeff
Well done. Enjoyed, and remember when Louis Armstrong sang, "It's a wonderful world"
Excellent demo and description - and the humour actually works. Nice one.

Good job making this informative and really entertaining. Thanks!
Thank you, just the review I needed. Just ordered for me.
this video sold me on the xaphoon! the way you make that thing growl is awesome! I am not a sax player
Love the humour and costumes too and It's a Wonderful World is a great song too. Now I need to learn how to play my xaphoon too.
I, too, am a long time sax player (tenor, soprano, alto). This looks like fun. PLUS, Jeremy, your video was hilarious! Well played! :-)

Awesome vid! Great review!!
LOVE your videos
Just stumbled into this gold! Love it!
Nice review Jeremy! Enjoyed it immensely!
Just what I was looking for -- especially the comparison with a recorder. And funny, too!
You are hilarious me you explain things very well. Nicely done video, I just saw an ad for this instrument and immediately came to YT...yours was the first video I saw. Very thorough, very entertaining, and I'm buying one because of your video. Going to see what else you've done. Thanks.

Thanks for checking out my channel! I hope you like the xaphoon, it is a very cool instrument! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I loved your review, keep up man! 😃
Great video. I got one of these, and it's incredibly fun. I think the plastic ones are all in C, for other keys the only option (without going for one of the knock offs, although I'm sure they are probably fun too) is one of his bamboo versions.
I love the alien jam!!! Good choreography by the way lol!!!😂🤣😊👍
Funny and educational, and you are a very talented musician, too! Thank you!
my 6 month old daughter was memorized by your Xaphoon playing. she was smiling and drooling all over her self. :-D
Awesome review, Jeremy! I just bought a Xaphoon and I've never played a reed instrument. I was able to get a decent tone out of the box and play melodies after only about 10 minutes of practice. I'm a decent recorder player, so that probably helped. Just struggling a bit to shape the timbre of the tone. The whole dimension of ambouchature is new to me. Anyone has some more in depth videos on how to shape the tone? Overall, amazing value for 65 bucks. I'll have fun with this instruments for years to come.
Dude this was funny. Thanks for the great review. I just ordered one yesterday. Can’t wait to learn.
It sounds very nice. It's rare but I like it. Now I want to have one. You play very well. Thanks for this video
A very insightful and enjoyable video. It convinced me to buy that amazing instrument. Now I'm just waiting for it to arrive :).
Thank you I enjoyed your review , just bought one.
Awesome video! Definitely picking one up!
beautiful sound - great review! thanks
Ok I had to subscribe your comedic bits are really good and you are informative
Wow, cool instrument and great playing. Just the video I was looking for.
Thoroughly enjoyed!
OMG this was hilarious and helpful. Thanks for putting this up for people :)
A surprisingly good video!! Thanks! This guy should be hired by companies, to make sale videos, his voice and demeanor are great.
Thanks! Great work. And impressive playing. 👏 👏👏👏👏
Entertaining, educational and very creative. Most helpful suggestions. Thanks a million/

You’re an inspiring man tbh, definitely going to try one of these

@@sandeepmortal To get a more sax like sound hum while playing, to get a more clean sound play softer and with slighty less lip pressure, but dont lose all of the lip pressure or you'll be out of pitch.

Fantastic video review :D Thank you.
Great review! When I got my Xaphoon, it didn’t give any instructions. Only a sheet of incoherent musical notes...Thank you very much, Jeremy, as I got some very good tips... I have bought one for myself and and one for my daughter, who used to play the recorder at school. It has a wonderful sound...
The best review I found
Ha! I loved your review. Thanks! I want the alien band to play at my Christmas party. Nice "What a Wonderful World," too.
Very good! I already play the recorder ( alto and soprano) , so it will probably be easier to play than the Venova I bought two weeks ago.
Nice and fun review, loved it. Thumbs up.
Great review well done excellent style and delivery 🙌
Thanks for this video. I've been eyeing this at my local music store for a while. I've never played reed instruments, is this something I can pick up on my own (without lessons, etc)?

I play the clarinet. Would you say it is easier to play the clarinet or this?
This is a fantastic review!
to keep the reed in good condition do you have 2 take it of like on a sax or is the lid enough?
You're the man. This is so good.
can this thing be tuned? it was flat at the end. thanks
Great video thanks. I bought one on impulse then thought I should find a video that tells me what it was that I just bought.
Great video, thanks for the explanation.
You are very entertaining. Thanks!

Terrific review.....I used to play clarinet way back when, but always wanted to pick up a sax...THIS is a nice alternative for me, and just the right size for practice. My Xaphoon is on its way, and I can't wait to start playing music again.

+JeremyKatzMusic Practice is a bit rusty, but getting better.... want to see if I can get good enough to play ONE STEP BEYOND at my niece's wedding in June.... I've got a little time to work on the GROWL.
That cool airy sound reminds me of the Japanese wooden flute which is used when they play music with intentionally “imperfect” notes
When you say "tenor-sized reeds", you meen saxophone reeds right? Or clarinet? Or is it all the same? Thanks!
I've got a xaphoon and the sharp and flat notes are some kind of under power (compare to a g ex.), You have a solution...? thank and great video.
Would love to see more vids!!!
How's about ligatures? Ever tried some "better" ones? And what reed strength have you had the best luck with? Thanks for the informative and entertaining vid!
Best review video I ever saw. For trues. Thanks
great!! but is the tone standard of did you usea specific one? is it good for a starter? thank you!
Coooool! ive never played a reed instrument, but this tempts me.

could you replace the mouth piece with one from an tenor instrument?
Is the Xaphoon similar fingering as a sax? Or are the similarities only in the sound?
