Nobody but nobody could do what Jeff Beck does on a guitar. He was truly The guitar god. So sorely missed.😢❤.
Jeff was one of the greatest players of all time and moved into the world of jazz a.k.a. John McLaughlin and was just light years ahead of most rock players. ROCK IN PEACE. This is a person that will be greatly missed in the musical community.🎼🎸
Wow! This was one of the best gigs I have ever seen. Beck was under absolutely no pressure to perform so naturally he performs stunningly! Thanks for uploading this gem!
Those lucky folks at Ronnie Scotts! Some down home funky blues with Imelda and Mr. Beck, and Deppster. Plus the horn section. Then Johnny played a funky solo! Awesome 👌 🆒️ 😎 And then there was "Going Down" with Mr. Ronnie Wood. Appropriate finale. Rock the house 🏠 👌 😎 🙌 ✨
I saw Jeff and Imelda at the Fillmore West for the tribute to Les Paul tour. Incredible, just like here. They are perfect together, I love it!
It's the 4th of July 2024!! Such a awesome band! All of them true artists!!!❤❤❤
R.I.P. to those artists that are no longer with us! ❤️🙏❤️🎶🌎✌️

Johnny is smart enough to take a backseat to legends.
I have been to Ronnie Scott's so many times in the past. It was a frequent music spot for me and my friends. Food was mediocre, music great. Some fond memories in that place. I know it was closed for a long time and refurbished and I understand that now food has much improved. That place had great atmosphere. I would have liked to have been there for this.
I should add to my previous comment for clarification purposes and to thank chromedreamer for the great upload. Having seen Jeff Play about 10 times now with various bands he continues to jaw drop me every time with his ability to truly play from the heart and give the music just what it needs with his discernable style, yet knowing when to lay back so that others in the band can have a turn. Gotta love that glint in his eyes and the grin while flying by the seat of his pants. Most of the tours I've seen starting with Blow by Blow have been instrumental, but I've caught him with Beth Hart and The Loud Hailer Tours with vocals and would just love to see an iteration with either Imelda May or Joss Stone covering old classic songs. He seems to have a knack for finding and nurturing talent. Sure would love to see some of these special shows at Ronnie Scotts released legit to the public as video exists. Would also love to see his label put together a proper compilation of all or most of the odds and ends that are available, most of which I've collected but are becoming hard to find as CD's go out of print. There's a lot of movie soundtracks and guest appearances and a lot of it needs to be more widely heard and possibly seen. Now regarding the You -Tube query I received the other night. My comment regarding the cost to go ad free was directed just at listening to music. I do not know if the monthly fee includes You-Tube TV or not. I will just say that $120/yr for music that is not lossless and is not supposed to be downloaded but in no way compensates the artists that created it, bothers me in that streaming platforms have decimated and gutted the revenue streams that artists rely on and with the pandemic making touring difficult, artists are struggling. While I like free as much as the next person, in my life I want to support artists and equitable solutions that enhance everybody's well being. Having worked in production, I've seen many sides of the industry. Many artists to this day, dislike bootlegs because they show warts and all of a show, but for me, in a historical perspective you're able to see the evolution of an artist or song through time. And of course every show has some moments Then of course there's those special days that happen when the set and setting are just right and that psychological mind meld happens between all the players and the audience and there's some magic microphones and a capture for all to reminisce. I also believe what's captured is of great benefit for aspiring musicians to learn how to further their playing and study different arrangements of songs. I will admit though, in the era of cell phones, it takes to many people out of the experience of listening. just like talking does at a show. My hope is that all bands will eventually have the ability to record for posterity, all shows they play and that that mix will be available to all attendee's for a reasonable price by the end of a show or by mail afterwards. I know that it has been tried, not sure what the results have been. It also seems that high quality digital video could be included as well. Doesn't have to be pro-shot on multiple cameras, just captured, caught on tape as they say. In closing all I can say is that the early internet w/o ads was a true wonder and now our feeds have become so clogged with ads and pop-ups that our computers are getting bogged down and I don't think all the dissonance is healthy for our minds or productivity as humans either. Beyond that I also have to laugh at what it is they think I want to see, because I'm sure you, like me are looking at things just to get the ads be something we'd rather see than what they think we desire and akin to A.I. but artificial insemination.

whilst the actual string tension is, of course, the same, it makes for less "spare" string length on 1st & 2nd strings between the nut & the machine head, so when you bend those strings you get more pitch shift for less movement.

Damn it! Thanks for being such a guitar genius Jeff! You need that when you play with Imelda! Ha
Don't quite understand what this was. Nothing I recognise as Chuck Berry? It seems to be unrehearsed? You see Imelda suggest "Oh Darling" to Jeff, & it's a nice enough jam but nobody knows the actual chords! Then Jeff suggests "Danny Boy" - I heard somewhere that when Imelda regularly sang with Jeff he worked out the Danny Boy arrangement and she wouldn't sing it, so he performed it as an instrumental - so is this maybe the first time she's sung it with him?? Thanks for posting, magic moments, wish I could have been there.

Interesting mix of talent but that resolution....Not too many Chuck Berry tunes either. Depp has aligned himself to get on a stage he belongs on the side or front of. So you ask me how is, KZread today? Musically it's outstanding, but there are far to many ads for the amount of music. Like far more than you'd get on TV. The amount of money that you want is way out of my league for what I ever made working. Certainly not tech wage scale, that's for sure. Considering how much content we've uploaded for you and that at one time you said you'd never place ads on the platform, it's an annoyance. I get that the amount of content uploaded per hour takes server space and maintenance, but I also hear that for every subscriber you have you earn about a $1000 per individual. How much do you need? Is it greed? How much is enough? How about more silent ads. And when can you at least train your algorithms to learn to at least disrupt a song during the breaks of a concert. There is a tremendous amount of history here but the time wasted by ads is annoying even if you're just trying to search. Do I need an ad blocker? Archive.orgs platform appeals to me because of the lack of ads and I donate what I can, just like I do for Wikipedia which also survives on donations. Me thinks that the Corporations that advertise here could very well support the platform as a public good and trust. Nuff said.
