sunboy1000 He'd have sounded even better if he had been given the chance to play lead guitar, but just as in the tribute to Les Paul, Jeff Beck relegates him to rhythm guitar - though anyone who knows what a truly phenomenal lead guitarist Darrel Higham is will know why Beck has him playing the rhythm guitar! Beck might be considered a guitar legend, but that's because he made his reputation when the music he was playing was popular, whereas Darrel Higham plays a style of music that had its heyday in the '50s so therefore isn't given any consideration regarding the fact that he's truly great guitar player, or is even known outside the world of rockabilly or as being the husband of Imelda May. He's the equal of Beck and then some!

Yay... Jeff was such a guitar chameleon and amazing player!
This is so good, thank you for sharing the link. Jeff Beck will be forever missed, there will never be another.
The Ronnie Scott video is one of my prized possessions. When I need inspiration I put this into my CD player and afterwords the guitar comes out. RIP Jeff
Why did this passing hurt so bad. I've been digging JB all my life but I never realized how much till he passed. Love you Jeff. R.I.P. my friend!!!
What a great group , total pros . With guest Jeff beck and his talking guitars.
Legend.. God Bless that Virtuoto!! He was one of a Kind and TBH I STILL cannot BELIEVE HES GONE! What a genius talent.. no one could ever replace him and THATS his legacy! Proper man.. 👍💪🎸☯️♾️😎🏴🇬🇧
No more needs to be said. Rock and Roll will never die.
Man, this singer reminds me so much of the famous Bill Haley, one of the OGs of R&R

Darrel is an amazing guitarist in his now right. One of the greats of the modern rockabilly scene.
Only just found this - awesome 😎- and I’m off to see Darrel Higham in a few weeks too 😊
Wow! Two Jeff Beck shows at Ronnie Scotts- must’ve been a dream come true for the crowd there. So glad we have this footage and thank you for posting it up. RIP Jeff Beck ❤thank goodness we have your music which will live on forever 🎶🎶🙏🙏
Perfect! RIP Jeff Beck.
I subscribed and liked the video ✌️ REST IN PEACE Jeff Beck 💔 🙏 😔 😢
Rest In Power Jeff Beck
This guy is Mr rockabilly since Bobby Sox shut rocking took a sabbatical this guy brought us back to life thank you brother xx
He nailed the Cliff Gallup tone and that fantastic Blue Caps Gene Vincent guitar sound, fantastic stuff!
Absolute class live music by accomplished musicians who have more than served their apprenticeships and doesn't it show ?what a treat.
I have always loved Jeff Beck. Maybe not everything he did, but I surely understand he was groundbreaking in every way. Since his passing, I have been consuming as much as I can find, but when this popped up I was blown away once more. What an incredible talent. This short set is just amazing. Rest in Peace sir. You will certainly be missed. You will never be forgotten. You truly were one of one!
If this is the first time you've heard of Darrel Higham, search KZread and find out how good this guy is.
The one and only Jeff Beck 🙏🏻 And well done all the band. Great show. Txs for sharing 👍🏻
Beck attained the closest tone to Scotty Moore I have ever heard on My Baby Left Me. Unreal show. Thanks for the upload.
That was so brilliant and straight from the heart
Darrel Higham sounds great, plus what a great set, Thanks for posting

sunboy1000 He'd have sounded even better if he had been given the chance to play lead guitar, but just as in the tribute to Les Paul, Jeff Beck relegates him to rhythm guitar - though anyone who knows what a truly phenomenal lead guitarist Darrel Higham is will know why Beck has him playing the rhythm guitar!

You can see his joy in playng. Truly Jeff Beck is "One of ONE". Masterful.
What a treat. Like winning a jackpot. Incredible
How damn good was that man ... Rock in Peace Jeff ...
Goosebumps!!!
Just fabulous! I've hit this probably 20 times...I just keep coming back...blast it!!
Man, this was over waay too quickly! Absolute rockabilly monsters right here! RIP brother Jeff!!😍🎵🎶👍
piano makes rockabilly better every time!
Love train kept a Rollin, regularly played here by both Yardbirds and Johnny Burnette.. brilliant and in the place we saw Billy Cobham a few years ago.
Absolutely awesome performance by all the players here and the singing was fabulous. What a great treat for that oh so lucky audience, wow, that was amazing! Hard to believe we have lost Jeff, what terrific skill he had on the guitar and how we shall miss him performing for us. RIP Jeff, and thank you so much for the decades of music you have given us to remember you by.
This performance is like time travel!
Pure class.
Good band, truly great guitar work. Unpretentious in the groove, outstanding. RIP Jeff.
Darrel would make an awesome Bill Haley if they ever did a biopic movie!!!!!
Priceless guitar slinging ..... Bravo 👏
First really great concert 1975 blow by blow with John McLaughlin in New York. There are so many great guitar players out there. Jeff was definitely one. So unique sound like a voice coming from his guitar rest in peace Will be missed❤
Darrel Higham , great rockabilly singer and a seriously great rockabilly guitarist himself when he has his Gretsch in his hands .
Wow! Halfway into this I realized this is actually just before the "Live at Ronnie Scott's" show began, one of the same nights!! Jason is on keyboards on both.....I knew the lighting was the same, and his amp is in the same spot. He did this, then took a break, and then did THAT!! I've been watching the "Live at Ronnie Scott's" DVDs for years and never knew he had just played all of this before, the same night!! If you've not seen it, watch it after this and WOW! JEFF BECK was such a unique player who will be greatly missed....✌️🙏
Wow this was so good. Not just Jeff showing how to play the rockabilly/blues music of his youth, but accompanied by some great musicians. I really enjoyed that 👍🍷
Glad to see these guys were able to get together for a live show, and that it's available for people to watch and re-live. Excellent.
So freaking good, thanks for sharing!
Wow. That instrumental with the sax was really good..🥂

That was FANTASTIC!!! Rest In Eternal Peace You will be surely and sorely missed. 😞
Would have loved to have been at that show!
How fortunate for us to have witnessed Beck.
This is the greatest recreation of that music I’ve seen. Jeff is right on the money with that style. The band is also so “to the era”
I don't think there wasn't a style that Jeff couldn't play he mastered them all.
RIP Jeff he had a unique style that no one can replicate 😢
I had a smile on my face the whole time..awsome. That wasn't like..a big star hashes rockabilly..thats the real deal right there.
Love that Les Paul with the Bixby! And then, ... That badass Tele. That badass Gibson Les Paul hollow-body (?) - Hell, I don't know... I got a good acoustic, though!!! That Fender Strat... Lawdy! We could make a WHOLE NIGHT of this... LMAO!!!!!! Yeah. Don't forget... The whole band sounds GREAT. Major kudos to the Big Town Playboys vocalist. Perfect. Sheeeeeit. Even the evening's host gets in on the action playing tenor sax! This is too cool! And after all that? Jeff and his band play The. Best. Concert. You. Ever. Heard. Quite a night!!

There are no Les Pauls in this video. The first guitar with the Bigsby is a Gretsch Duo jet, and the hollowbody was a Gibson ES-175.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT MAKE'S JEFF ONE OF HE BEST GUITARIST ADAPTABILITY TO ALL STYLES. DENIEL EDWARDS GUITARIST.
Jam in peace, Maestro.🎶🎶🎶❤️🎶🎶🎶
Certainly one of the best guitarists ever and a very gifted musician. One of a kind. RIP And the Ronnie Scott club gig performances are one of his best recorded performances available. A must see and must hear for all Beck fans...and fans of great rock and roll. With Vinnie Caliuta and Tal Wilkenfeld. Excellent.
killer stuff right here!!!
Man, guess Jeff Beck is one of a kind. No other guitar player could recreate those riffs "Galloping" Cliff Gallup recorded on Gene Vincent songs. Race with the Devil, Crazy Legs.
Wow , the great Jeff Beck ! So sad he's not with us anymore !😭 Rip Jeff !

No improvisation liké g Jimi Hendrix live, It's so simple and monotony.. Some rockabilly whitout good guitar émotion and free feeling and good music...Mick Taylor was the master, Jimi Hendrix redoutable, Stevie Ray Monster of country music, Funk, rythm'blues, Soul music, hard Rock and, variety music liké Stelly Dan and commercial music liké bée-Gees etc To day Jeff Beck was variety musical, not original but very commercial... ,
Rest easy, brother. 🕊
There ain't no whammy in rockabilly! Beck is amazing playing it "straight"
Otis Gibbs sent me. Great stuff, R.I.P. Mr. Beck….🎸
THIS IS REAL MUSIC !!!!
Darrel, you are my hero !
Unbelievable performance - thanks for posting it. Jeff is awesome as usual.
Amazing. Love it!!! Thx so much for sharing it!!
Hi influencefrom day one when i saw and heard yardbirds is still HUGE..RIP JEFF BECK AND THANKS
Wow this is awesome, cannot believe I haven't seen this before
the maestro...simply amazing.
Jeff Beck...what a gifted man he was..what a big loss for humanity 😪
Fantastic work by all Brian, Jeff, and especially the excellent rhythm section, without whom stardom would stay a dream..
Put Jeff & Darryl together and you'll have a pure Rocking Rockabilly Dynamite ==> HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE!!
RIP Jeff Beck.
Jeff Beck had just about everything in his kitbag of guitar talent, and he could just pull it out as required.
This is even more precious now that he is gone....
Watch that kick drum extra beat intro at 6:02, it was great, go in about 5:55 Jeff looked back and I don't think it was a mistake, these guys are unbelievable.
