... after Aneheim 'Blue Wind' your '76, I am at the Roxy in Hollywood, George Duke Show. He walks in with Stanley Clarke. A Heineken in one hand, his other in his pocket. I stick out my hand to shake, he's drunk, turns away. Didn't care then, don't care now. Just glad to have been in his presence.

Saw him live a few times, and he always left everyone hungry for more! You got the feeling he was just tapping a few alternatives, not letting it all out. Masterful, always surprising, you could hear so much in his playing (Cliff Gallup, etc.), and i always got the feeling he was trying to bust through the wall. Love you, Jeff. Thank you!

Mr. Jeff Beck could play with anyone and give that other person the sense that Jeff was perfectly supporting them and in sync. From Luciano Pavarotti to Stevie Wonder and Stevie Ray Vaughn and everybody that ever hit the stage from 1960 till 2023. NOONE else ever came close! noone.... only you Jeff Beck so amazing! being " original " is such a challenge on its own.. Sounding fantastic with your own sonic pallet is the next level... He achieved it, he will be missed, he is a legend.
It was difficult to see him leave like this at the beginning of the year as Van Halen, Neil Peart, Dan McCafferty and other rock artists and instrumentalists in recent times, here is my condolences and admiration and inspiration from a fan of Brazil.
#1 Guitarist, Artist & human who left amazingly positive mark on the planet with his life's journey through earth. You live in everyone you touched. A beautiful & creative heart of a man. ❤😢😢😢😢
God speed Jeff, we will all miss you. Peace be with you my friend.
So happy to have lived at a time that Jeff graced our planet, do no know how we are going to adjust to the loss of the governor, he is the greatest loss to the music industry. The only negative point is that his country of birth have not as yet done anything to show their appreciation of a once in a lifetime talent both as a unique guitarist and as a human being.God Bless you Jeff and thank you…..
Never boastful always played with his heart ❤️ His quitar and the music that came out of it only Jeff Beck could do that. He may be gone but the greatest music he left for us to keep listening. He will always be the best.

The one and the only! He has created his own style, sound and emotional touch of playing. He really is one of the greatest guitar masters of all time with his own style, technical virtuosity and touch.
We've ended as lovers............this live version...............blows my fucking mind! There may be a handful of guitar players on the same level as Jeff Beck........but you really can't get better.
RIP JEFF BECK ,WILL BE MISSED BY SO SO MANY .continue on into your new Journey, your spirit will live on and on.🤲🏻☮
I’d take around half of Blow by Blow, a third of Wired and almost all of There and Back. With those tracks, I’d have the greatest electric guitar album of all time.
RIP, legend 🙏
Seen him in the '70s in Dallas Texas. The crowd went nuts for a third Oncore even after they turned the lights and said he has left the building. Excellent performance. Would love to see him again.

I saw Jeff in 1975 when I was 17, with Rod Stewart topping the bill and Aerosmith rounding it out. Then saw him again around 2011. 36 years later and he was teaching those 6 strings what kind of sounds they could make.

Think you might be mistaken. I saw jeff twice in 75 back to back shows in SF and SJ . Both nights he was with John Mclaughlin. Looking at the historic record tour guides for 1975 he didn't play with Rod Stewart at all that year. In fact it's fairly well known the two weren't getting along during that time in his career . Maybe you're thinking 1976 when he toured with Jan Hammer ? During that summer he did a lot of outdoor stadium shows with multiple big name acts aka Day on the green type shows? Just saying. :)

When Jeff first came onto the scene. He gave us whole new way to explore the Emotional Feelings that you can have with his Blues Rock Guitar style.. that wasn't present anywhere at that time. Since then he has extended and expanded upon his own Musical brilliance and illuminousity. Much love Jeff ❤️❤️❤️

@@carstenmanz302 Instead of Argueing, -JUST LISTEN. I have been listening to Jeff Becks guitar for three months on KZread and mourning his death, and catching up with all I had missed over 60 years. He went to America and Japan to play his music because the people in the UK DID NOT RECOGNISE WHAT A GEM THEY HAD. THEY JUST WANTED TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK. So Jeff went to America. He still played here but said nothing of his true feelings. He was determined to achieve what he set out to do. He had been trained on the piano but wanted another type of instrument and heard Les Paul,. He loved to strum the metal strings on the piano which echoed through the wooden frame. I know what that is like, and wanted to do the same, but one has to be a much greater inventor. I stuck to piano. Jeff went on to invent his own way of playing and no one else can do it so far. His delicate touch on the Whammy bar is very difficult to do. There is no violent strumming continuously, but measured playing, and intelligent sensitive playing; sometimes unworldly sounds. Liston the BLUE wIND, WITH jENNIFER bATTEN, rANDY hOPE tAYLO AND sTAVE aLEXANDER IN THE 1999 concert in JAPAN!! Cynthia Allen McLaglen

Jeffs music is so amazing. Thank you for sharing this.
Jimi would be proud of Jeff ok!
I've heard Adrian Belew do some wild stuff on the whammy bar, and Steve Vai & Joe Satriani play with passion and fire, I've heard Scott Henderson come close to immitating Mr. Beck with his whammy bar solo's...but absolutely no one can do what Jeff does... he's untouchable, by far the best in creativity, and all in general!

Was also blessed to see/hear him perform twice in the '70s. You could easily tell when you were in a Jeff Beck audience - bcuz you could hear a Pin Drop while he Performed, as the audience was simply Mesmerized &/Or Hypnotized by his command of that 'Strat'. Just Amazing, there'll NEVER be another Jeff Beck. RIP Mr. Beck. Your music will live on Forever!

There is a story that goes something like this: Jeff was in the studio to record some of his amazing guitar work, and Steve Cropper, himself an accomplished guitarist and composer, happened to be in the engineer's booth that day. Jeff asked Steve if he wanted to sit in and Steve politely declined. He then turned to the recording engineer and said, "When Jeff is in the studio, there isn't room for anyone else."
