Why do so many of us old farts only recognize genius and brilliance and singular luminosity-- AFTER the Master has passed, and departed from this dense Third octave? Jeff Beck has ALWAYS been higher and finer than the common vibe of 3-D music. Jeff was ascendant, like an eagle that could take the highest drafts of atmosphere, almost into space, and then all the way back to Earth, all in one five minute solo. It makes my heart swell and race in a way nothing else can, or ever could. Jeff Beck, you conquered level twelve when you were 16; you were a journey-level axeman at 19, and a full red-belt Demigod at 20. And it only got better from there. Wind, and stone, and Air, and Fire, and Earth, and Water...and Beck. Now Jeff is Elemental again. Can't wait to see him in his next incarnation. Fly, Jeff Beck-- SOAR E-flat Minor 3

Is his whammy bar set up differently than on a normal strat. Those micro tonal changes are just not there. I know he was doing it, but it is impossible. Also, if is set up to be more sensitive, why doesn't he ever hit a bad note?
@mancuniancandidatem
11 ай бұрын
@@rickjason215I think he set up the tremolo bar with a "floating" set up so that he could pull up on the bar as well as push down. I think his intonation was so good just because of his musical ears. I'm sure his whammy bar technique (much like his bottle neck technique)would have developed just from his need to hear the correct note being played. I'm sure he wouldn't have excepted anything less than perfect. I imagine he put hours and hours into perfecting these techniques and also learning melodies. He was the kind of player who would rehearse a melody to the extent that, from night to night he would play it mostly the same. So I imagine he developed amazing muscle memory to help him execute the notes he needed to hear. If you listen to this kzread.info/dash/bejne/lqZ12JR_n7zQmZs.html He intonates each note almost identically to the original recording. kzread.info/dash/bejne/jHae2q6vaafMmM4.html His ears were just off the charts, which ultimately is down to the way his brain functioned.

The best band (the genius) Beck ever had - with the possible exception of the "Blow By Blow" line-up. I did a TV show way back in the 80's which included Jason as a young student and we all saw he was brilliant, even then. Wilkenfield is tremendous and I don't think Vinnie needs any recommendation from me. Thanks Jeff.

I don't know how many discussions I have had about proper way to hold a pick and here comes Jeff Beck without any picks and just wipes the floor with everyone.

Bon voyage Jeff. We will miss you
Jeff Beck! The one and only. So unique. So great to listen to. Always inspiring and delightful!
Extraordinary...of course!!!!!!! RIP 🎸 YOU'RE ALREADY MISSed!!
The dude could make that guitar sing, that's for sure! RIP, Jeff.
His microtonal control of the whammy bar was second to none - a true great we’ve lost, but what a legacy he’s left! 🤩😮😢❤🎸👌🙏🏼

Is his whammy bar set up differently than on a normal strat. Those micro tonal changes are just not there. I know he was doing it, but it is impossible. Also, if is set up to be more sensitive, why doesn't he ever hit a bad note?

No one like Him ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That single drop of sweat on the pick guard with his hand on the tremolo. What a nice visual memory of a great player.
Mr Jeff Beck. Why is this so hard to say goodbye? One of the masters, has , left the planet, God Speed Jeff.
RIP and "Space for the Jeff" among the giants of music, a really good guitarist, a great loss.
Absolutely , the entire world is now without the genius of Mr.Jeff Beck....May God Bless His Soul Up In Heaven..........
oh now I know why YT digged this up...RIP mate... I think everybody who plays music, let alone on six strings must stand in silent awe at the music of Jeff Beck
I’m so sorry to hear about Jeff''s passing.

This is off the scale sublimely brilliant!!!
Phantastisch! Dieser Mann wird uns fehlen!
Greatness that can’t be explained
I can’t believe he’s gone.
Jeff took us on an incredible musical journey. Superb tone and flawless dynamics framing notes that only he was capable of pulling out of his guitar. I have loved this man and his music ever since I first heard him with the Yardbirds in 1965. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends, and his fans around the world. R.I.P. Jeff, play on now with all the greats on the other side.

That's was one bad ass guitar player n the best all of them just hate see him go like that. I saw him in Austin TX. That was a he'll of concert. RIP MR JEFF BECK.
Il più grande chitarrista R.I.P.
This performance speaks for itself. Nobody else like the great Jeff Beck. RIP
To me, that was one of the best bands ever. The joy, the appreciation they had for each other, specifically Beck for Tal ... wow. That really showed his most outstanding class. Giving others credit and a platform to grow on. R.I.P. Mr. Beck.
A genius playing a song written by geniuses.
R.I.P. Mr. Beck. Will be jamming with you at the Great Budokan of the Spirit.
Great seeing Jimmy Page there way in the back cheering him on! Jimmy loved Beck!
I remember watching this on tv years ago. It was neat to see the other guitarists watching him. He has been my favorite since the 60's in the Yardbirds. You were one of a kind Jeff. Rest In Peace.
R. I. P., JEFF !.....
RIP great musician❤️
Incredible! The master and best of all time. Beautiful, RIP
The best of the best has left the stage R.I.P Jeff Beck, a sad day for true music lovers 💔
Somehow I find myself at this vid about once a year. And besides being blown away by Geoffrey, I also think about how great Tal is and how she just grooves. Oh, and also what doll she is! Just the cutest yet hottest little thing!
Your worth extends past the sum total of your works.... I'm still floored!!! Jeff was always able to make something great even better. Can't say many people can do that🤘👍✌️🤙 Your contributions will be missed....
So sad, his passing so unexpectedly, his feeling for melody is unsurpassed
This Blu-ray Disc has me mesmerized. So much talent on stage and off. The audio man is masterful! I am watching “Rollin’ and Tumblin’” currently with Imogen Heap and I will find his name shortly. I remember when the British were the first to perfect audio. We owe so much to England in so many ways! Audio recorded and mixed by Alan Branch. What a Genius he is!
RIP magic man
Jimmy Page showing the love 4:51 he once said , there are a lot of really good guitarists and then there's Jeff Beck. RIP Mr Jeff Beck mild mannered Rock Star , Guitar GOD!!

The Yardbirds - Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck - wild to think about!
Sorrow for the loss, but happiness for the treasure of the life he lived. 🎶 🎸
God is waiting : Jeff Beck , David Crosby,Joe Cocker ,keith Emerson, Greg Lake....They are angels of music.
The Best is gone Thank you Jeff and play now in heaven
I've always loved 😍 this song 🎵 ! Jeff put his own twist on it and made it his own. bravo!!!
This one hurts. Deeply. Farewell.
I am so very sad 😭. Yet feel so privileged to have lived during this man's life. What a true blessing. RIP dear soul. I am not ready for this terrible terrible loss. My heart goes out to his family and many friends and fans. The accolades I've been reading are nothing short of a miracle in my our lives. I am not ready to say good bye. Have fun in Heaven with all the other greats. I can't wait to meet you again. Much love 💕🎶
Rest in peace to my favorite guitarist of all time. His playing is just... immaculate. One of the most expressive musicians ever. So completely in control of his musical voice, in terms of dynamics, tone, articulation, his great sense of rhythm, his endless ideas. Nothing I can write here could ever do his playing justice. I'm going to keep listening to Jeff and be inspired by him till the day I die.
Wow. Unbelievable musical expression like no one else anywhere.
There will never be an AI Jeff Beck RIP, I will remember you always!❤
Hard Work ..Networking with Top Talent..Having Fun entertaining Crowds.. Jeff Great Going.. Will be Missed..
Esse era Fera.
Plays like an angel … is now an angel
Just...crazy how he manages picking, tremolo bar, and volume swells at the same time to create his own unique sound. We'll not see his like ever again.
somehow as I get older,, the guitar gods I have worshipped for decades I dont get,, they age too,,, its so surreal
This IS AMAZING....NEVER Saw this before. Thank you. R.I.P. SIR BECK.......
RIP 😢
You were, are and will be the best... RIP JB :((
This was the song that got me into Jeff beck in 2009 when I was 16 a huge lost for all of us guitar players out there.
The timbre control and musicality of a classical guitarist a la Bream, the virtuosity of de Lucia or di Miola: he simply has it all. An outstanding player.
The man owned the phrase, "He could make the guitar talk".
Incredible incredible incredible Jeff Beck. Rest In Peace you legend!
I'm not crying, you're crying....... it is so beautiful!
Un Homme qui s'"amuse autant de sa guitare" ...Bravo pour tout!!!
Such an unpresuming gent. Plays magic, and then thanks us for listening... God bless you Jeff Beck, you changed the world!
Jeff Beck, man and machine in perfect harmony a truly wonderful guitar player, will miss his fingers, thumb and trem playing with great sadness but also happiness with all his playing ability and feel really blessed that I had the opportunity to see Jeff play live on a few occasions. “The Master.”
