Years ago. My wife and I saw Jeff in a small theater in Kingston,NY. As usual it was a superb show. When he started Nessun Dorma, My lovely wife turned to me and said " I want this played at my funeral" As life would have it, Meme lost her battle with cancer a couple years later Although there were many Jeff Beck songs in our 48 years together, this song will always tear my heart and fill my soul

Saw a comment the other day saying who would want to go to see him, he's past it. Yeh sure he is. The only thing he is past is most of what else is going on. He went past it years and has never stopped. Keep on delighting us Jeff and we'll keep on being delighted.

Nessun Dorma it's so beautifully arranged and played by Jeff if you're not moved by this your soul is dead. Jeff continues raise the bar he does things no other guitarist can even come close to. On his own Accord he can mimic almost any instrument in the most precious instrument of all the human voice. I have heard Jeff mimic opera singers where you could not distinguish whether it was his guitar or the singer. I think Jeff has mastered every genre of music. Everybody has their favorite guitarist but there is only one Jeff Beck and no one can do what he can. I've been playing for 40 years and I still can't achieve his technique.

Seen Jeff many times in the 70's , my first time in 1972 in Tampa , Beck's lady chauffeur came around the corner by the backstage doors and didn't see me , she was looking at the back of the concert hall , almost ran me over , Jeff was on the passenger side and saw me in the road in the road and grabbed the steering wheel and yanked it to the left , also my girl had my hand and pulled me back, The mirror hit my stomach , just grazed me , but Beck had the driver girl stop and he jumped out and ran back to make sure I was ok. I told my fiance , that guy looks familiar , later then when he came on stage wearing a black and white banded shirt , I said ,"hey Babe ,that was Beck in the Cadillac Limo", she said " that' was Jeff Beck?" , I said yes it was. Loved Beck with Jan Hammer
