The one true Stratocaster Master. Robert Plant seemed to like it.
Robert Plant, smiling quietly from the shadows of the room,...tells you all you need to know about this Jeff Beck performance! Amazing. No one plays like Jeff Beck. A master musician and unparalleled unique technique.

Jimmy Page was in the House too - of course along with Eric C who accompanied him for a few tunes later in the show. Quality performance. I always revert to this concert ad one of his best. God Bless Jeff - and Thank You!
Jeff didn't just play the notes; he played inside the notes, with breathtaking beauty. We'll not hear his like again.

I know you meant this as an ultimate compliment to Jeff, but think about it - there will never be anyone to play like me or you (and maybe neither of us is any great shakes at playing guitar, but we're probably both unique in some ways). What you love about his playing is more than that it was unique. It was also transcendent, beautiful, powerful and enduring. It moved millions of people. So being unique was maybe its least important characteristic (except that it was unique in being so powerful) ...

I agree with you. Many people play like EVH, or Satriani o Vai , nobody play like JB? Fingerstyle, tremolo bar, volume (gain), all at the same time
I've been listening to Jeff Beck for maybe 50 years now and I have NEVER gotten tired if listening. I've seen this video many times before and it's like Manna from heaven for the ears and the spirit every time. It was so uplifting when he was still with us and it remains uplifting when I listen again but now, I'm sadly reconciled to hereafter being profoundly saddened again as I snap out of it and remember that he's not walking the planet at the same time I am anymore. At times it's grace to know that all things must pass and other times it's the tragic part of life. The greater the gift the greater our sadness when it passes... as it must.
In my humble opinion, this is the best live album Jeff Beck ever made. It’s perfect!

Jeff’s performance here reminds me of the now old tv commercial introducing the new Porsche Carerra. “It’s everything we know so far; which is, a LOT. “ Jeff really brought it for this week of gigs, surrounded by three world chess players. He was having a ball.

Technically, one of the best to ever pick up a guitar 👍
I’ve never seen “special effects” used to so perfectly suit the music. Usually those kinds of techniques are just used to thrill the crowd like a daredevil stunt but Jeff Beck manages to make them sound so musical and necessary. A true guitar master.

@@matthewleclair6817 that’s why I put “special effects” in quotation marks. I just mean fancy/showy techniques. But like I said, the way Jeff Beck used them they weren’t really showy. He made them musical in a way that few if any ever could. Undeniably one of the greatest musicians of all time.

Bless his memory! I feel privileged to have been alive during his time on this earth and to have experienced his magnificent playing
Man, Jeff is from an entirely different planet. The stuff he does with harmonics.
It's hard to believe the master is gone!
An astonishing guitar player and musician. It's as though an immortal (with a sardonic sense of humor) briefly visited, and dropped bits of musical heaven on us. His work is consciousness expanding, for other musicians.
A master at work, God bless him.
The best exponent of the tremolo arm in my opinion,I usually hate it when guitarists over use it but Beck makes it musical.
Only be 1 Jeff Beck 🙏🎼

What a brilliant musician 🙏🏻🥰
I have been in radio silence to the music of Mr. Beck since his death. This is my re-entry and it had me smiling captivatedly throughout.
Six minutes in heaven. RIP grandmaster.
He very well might be the best electric guitarist of all time. The best control over tone I’ve ever seen.
It's like watching Stephan grapelli on violin - the mastery of 1 million subtleties of tone, inflection, vibrato, finger noise, etc. On every note that build something - that the phrase isn't just the notes, but everything, every sublet inflection, in every note, and the intention. Just jaw dropping.

Nothing but bent, tickled, compressed, twisted, extended, nuanced in every conceivable way notes all infused with the healing power of true emotion and deep spirituality. All of it 100% authentic straight from the heart feeling that reflect his many years of lived experience. And, no simple or pure notes whatsoever except when they are, and then they are as pure and clean as the purest, untouched crystalline water from a sacred pool hidden deep within some undiscovered jungle (or, possibly from the garden of Eden.) I've loved his work beginning in the sixties (Yardbirds, then Jeff Beck Truth album). I used to think Jeff Beck was an extremely talented master of his craft; then I understood that Beck was an avatar; then he became the god of the guitar; then of all music. Now, I think he may actually be god come down to play the most incredible music ever to bless mortal ears. How good is something that you can't quite believe you're hearing, or when it's over that you can't quite believe you heard?

That harmonic at 4:40. Just, wow. No one like him.
Some years back Jeff came by for coffee and a biscuit, I gave him a bag and asked him to take the dog out for a walk. When Jeff got back he asked if he did a good job with the dog, I told him yes Jeff, you did a good job walking the dog. We talked about how beautiful some types of weeds are. Cool guy, he was good with animals.

Awesome 👏🏼 🤩💖❤️💜♥️ RIP Jeff 🙏🏻😢💔💐
One of THE most incredible DVD's EVER.....!!!!! A guitarist's MUST HAVE.
In my opinion, the most magical guitarist on the planet. The master of masters. You can’t teach JB. You can show someone the notes but that’s not even half the battle. To capture the feel is almost impossible. He isn’t playing the guitar, he IS the guitar. Big difference! I got the same vibe from Hendrix and believe he would be on the same level if he was still alive. My second favorite is Nels Cline though! If anyone hasn’t checked him out, please do! He is awesome and a very nice guy! 😃
The maestro has been forever silenced
I believe he's the greatest living 'guitar', yet the music industry shuns him, given his pan genre mastery.

Well he keeps following his muse instead pf having one band that keeps foing one sound Since he is not a singer he must find situations
The reason Jeff Beck is so much better than other guitar players (especially the showy ones) is because despite all of the innovation in his playing, he never lost his blues roots. And he can actually play blues with FEELING, which so many other famous guitar players cannot do.
Genius. And dat STRAT!
GENIUS
A true lesson in musical dynamics 🎸 Learn it, know it, live it.
