Here it is, part 2 of the Jeep TJ Transmission Swap. This time we discuss some important information about the TJ fly wheel and how to properly prepare it for a new clutch. Remove the old pilot bearing and install the new one. We also move the CPS sensor over to the new bell housing. In the next few videos we will get a lot more indepth on what needs to be done in order to get this fully installed.

    Have you mocked up the transfer case to the new transmission and test fitted the TC shifter? It was required on the ax5 to 15 swap I just did.

    I have a 241OR Rubicon Transfer case on my Jeep as well as a cable shifter. The cable will most likely need some adjustment but the transfer case shifter can stay in the same spot. But that is good info for anyone who may not have a cable shifter.

    @@EmbarkWithMark I couldnt find a rubi 241 that was price right so I put a 6 pinion planetary and a wide chain kit along with a JB conversions SS SYE in my 231. What they want for the tj rubi case, I'd buy a new atlas

    Very nice upgrades. I totally agree with the pricing of used Rubi cases, it’s crazy. I bought mine for $600 bucks a few years back.

    I just did the swap from 42rle automatic to the ax15 and the stock linkage would not work. I installed a cable shifter and once adjusted properly is much smoother than the old linkage ever was.

    Is the ax15 tail housing the same as the ax5 tail housing

    I am not entirely sure on that one. I’ve never worked with an ax5. But I remember reading that the ax15 was a direct swap for the ax5. But don’t quote me on that.
