Its been 32 months owing jeep compass limited, i've done 70000kms, all i can say is its a perfect vehicle and fulfills all your needs. Even after doing 70000kms its as good as new and feels robust.

which is better petrol version or diesel?

Petrol version has a bit of turbo lag below 2000 rpm. You feel that in slow moving traffic. The diesel version has minimal lag and power comes in at lower 1600-1750 rpm and feels much more smoother by way of linearity. Both experiences are with the automatics.

People, please stop saying its overpriced. I dont think there is any vehicle this capable of speeding and offroad in the near range. Driving compass give much better feel like merc/bmw/audi. Lot of engineering undergone. Everything is well made and designed. Its of superior quality everything that matters to driving, dynamics. Its drive quality itself is more than enough for money you pay. You need to experience it.

Ajay, it’s not capable off-road, it’s just good for snow. Like in slippery situations that’s it. It’s not a proper off-roader. Just a hatchback on stills. I used to like this car a lot before but this isn’t worth that much, you can get an Endeavour for that money. The price could’ve been a bit more less

Sam S there’s no denial of the fact that Jeep is known for its legendary off-road capability, but what I’m trying to say is the Compass is overpriced, also it’s just a Compact SUV with no low range 😊, which is good for slush, snow and not much more
