those complaining about battery, please stop. i have a jbl go which lasts 5 hours :( i love it though.

The jbl go is the perfect little speaker even with 1/3 of the battery of the xtreme 2 it is a good little speaker.

2:00 it's a security feature so the strap doesn't come off... i thought it was quite clever

I am looking for a Bluetooth Speaker I was originally going to go for a Sony but I want one with an audio jack input so that would mean I could only go for the XB43. However the size and battery life has put me off. My next choice was the JBL Extreme 2 but your comments on Latency now prelude that as I will be watching videos with it. Hi guys i was wondering, if its a con that the Xtreme needs to be charged with an adapter instead of USB. I mean... i cant charge it with for example a Powerbank or a USB port in a car.

That clipping works fine for me, mine hangs mostly at 15 meters height.

An EQ setting on the phone will fix the need for an outdoors mode on the Xtreme 2.

Your opinion is exactly the same as mine lmao, i also expected a little more, yes the audio improved, yes it has JBL Connect +, but the battery life, the nitt picky thing about the carrying strap and the indoor/outdoor mode were also expected to imrpove, tho they didn't.

Hi, I have a JBL Charge 3 and a Flip 4. Both of them sound great in bluetooth mode, but whenever i plug them in via aux cable, the sound quality worsens and a get a constant buzz going through the music. I tried different aux cords, and different sources such as my phone, my pc soundcard, and a dac/amp that I have, and all of them have the same issue. Anybody else have this? Any ideas what to do?

The first JBL I got was a GO 2. Then I bought a flip 4. Then for this Christmas I got a Charge 4.The Flip 4 and the Charge 4 make a great combo with JBL Connect+. I don't think I need an Xtreme or a Boombox. I am happy with what I have.

Wish the volume was better. I like the construction and the easy Bluetooth sync. Battery life is incredible.

Is does have an outdoor mode. Hold the volume + putting down and power button at same time for 10 seconds

Sony has an equaliser to adjust treble and bass. Is there an option to adjust treble and bass on extreme2? Or any 3rd party apps to help?

yes I enjoyed the video, u maid your point perfectly clear and I totally agree. I was mainly looking for to the rumor about it being 50 watts and definitely was looking forward to it having a slightly better battery / life. But better sound, connect plus, water proof and more pleasing design definitely good enough for me! I don't give a dam that it's missing one extra charging port l as I only use the external battery feature in times of emergency plus I have several others that have the same feature but yeah awesome review dude I'm looking for to mine arriving in the mail I have the forest green I'm looking for to getting a second 1 next year in that midnight blue! Two xtreme 2s and a boom Box will be awesome and I bet the xtreme 2s will get louder in stereo mode!

Go play without doubt, Xtreme 2 has literally no bass at all, Go Play is the king of bass.

It’s the perfect portable size with a massive quality output even on the high end of the volume spectrum it gives absolute no distortion, heck if you want the speaker to go even louder, leave it connected to the wall through the charging port and it’ll give it more juice making way louder! Regardless best speaker hands down for its price, size, & quality. Admit the JBL boom box is preposterous, bulky and mainly aimed towards larger gatherings making less versatile.

if I buy a Flip4 or Flip5 or Flip essential can I use 2 of the same speakers as a spaced stereo pair?

A friend of mine has two flip and he say they play in stereo (one channel on each speaker when paired). But after what people say it must be same model generation for pairing to work for certain.

Just buy the extreme 2 and use that strap because after hearing the 2 you will want that one

I luv my extreme 2 my music never sounded so good. Very balanced frequencies overall. Don't think I will ever replace this speaker. It is perfection for me.

the xtreme 2 goes as loud as Xtreme 1 when plugged

I use low frequency mode and a Spotify eq and it’s equally loud to my $2000 Bose speaker. It’s like 3 times louder than normal mode with no eq. And it’s still sounds really good being 3 times as loud like it’s ridiculous

A refined jbl xtreme would be called xtreme plus and externally the only difference would be a waterproof flap and in terms of software it would have connect plus

I bought a JBL extreme 2 years ago and it recently died. Dead, battery tested fine. Something on the circuit board killed it. Anyone else have this problem??? I'm not sure what to buy next... help

I’ve had the Xtreme for 2 years and I just found out it was supposed to come with a strap, and I oddly knew exactly where that strap was even though it wasn’t in the box.

My extreme 2 is not displaying battery status.....Is this a issue....Or it is like this only....that Battery status is shown while charging only..... Plz guide.

For the price I went with the w king d8. Actually I bought 2 for $160 for both and bought a protection plan for $8. They sound great paired together but I have to admit the extreme 2 does have a more refined sound. However not that much more refined!!!

@@sananan Dont do that, the power in the boombox charger and the xtreme is not the same, so the xtreme battery will overheat.

xb 40 is amazing specially battery life..... but not loud.... but its more than enough for medium sized room....
