Getting xtreme 2

I own them both. The extreme definitely sounds better and fuller but it takes a bit of volume to sound good. At low volumes the extreme sounds muffled. Please trust me, if you listen at low volumes, the charge 4 is better. If you listen at mid to high volumes, the extreme is the way to go.

Very helpful I got really good deals from Verizon I got 2 magenta Charge 4’s but kinda want the Xtreme for the deep bass

Just bought the Xtreme 2 today, and I've got to say that I love the bottom end it manages to pump out.. it really helps to carry the sound well over a distance

The charge 4 is literally the perfect price, sound (for hiphop atleast), and overall portability and design. I have it its hella good

I like the C4 for it's portability AND because I attach a portable charger to the USB C for extending life. And for the price you can buy two C4s if you want more power 2x30 watts

The charge4 sounds WAY better than the xtream2. I bought both. One for work(the charge4) and one for my home use(the xtream2).. I returned the xtream2 and purchased another charge 4. My vote goes to the charge4.

Xtreme 2 actually sounds ALOT better because it doesn't suffer from intermodulation distortion (because of the charge 4 only having one driver) and because of the Xtreme 2's hifi tuning.

@@frederickjones6495 Also have a 4 and upgraded to 5 which was a mistake ... First week went to beach and sand got in the new open charge 5 charging port .. After cleaning charge 5 unit it wouldn't charge .. Stupid they did away with flap and aux port and consider that cheap tinny screechy tweeter an upgrade .. Anyway I did not think it sounded better anyway, so I returned 5 and bought / swapped for another charge 4 ... 2 x charge 4 sounds phenomenal in party but stereo is unbelievable made my jaw drop... Couldnt be happier and so glad I returned that charge 5 ...

After reading the review ,bought the extreme,sounds brilliant and glad I went for the extreme as fills room with sound..thanks Max for the review.

I wanted to get the xtreme 2 but you're the first person I've heard say I can't use the aux port to run anything else! Makes it a no go for me since I wanted to run an FM radio through it for the drive-in. Boo. Any idea if the xtreme 3 fixes that issue? Thanks!

You don't need to use aux for FM, just play FM from your phone trough Bluetooth. Make sure you plug antenna wire on your phone believe me u will have a clear FM playing on your xtrem 2.

I wanted the jbl xtreme 2 but I didn't have enough cash so I bought the jbl charge 4 and I have to say the jbl charge 4 sounds great lows mids and highs are great its loud great for the pool a bbq or if you are doing yard work as well and it does have a great battery life and it's easier for portability compared to the jbl xtreme 2

I have made several attempt to pair up JBL Flip 5 bluetooth Speaker with my laptop but continuously requesting for the installation of a driver. In this regard, can someone please help me with the name of the driver and also few steps of how to go abput it in order to get started. Thanks in advance.

Charge 4 is excellent for therapeutic sound alchemy, allowing for easy harmonizing when singing or using binaural beats and frequency attenuation.

Just got the Jbl extreme 2 and it is everything I hoped for in a speaker. The sound is spot on perfect for me. It is a balanced, full rich sound. And bass adds a nice quality to overall frequencies.

I can pair Flip 4 and Xtreme 2, but NOT Flip 5. Is there any options besides deep six-ing it?

Anybody have input on the sound of the two when played inside? I have a Charge 2+ and thinking about upgrading to either the charge 4 or xtreme 2. I generally use mine indoors but also bring it to the beach and on the boat. Hoping the xtreme would sound better for those instances but also still sound good when used at lower volumes indoors. Thanks!

Yeah get the jbl extreme 2, it’s not very high volume the first couple notches u turn it up, it’s actually more quite than my jbl flip 4 when playing at low volume on party mode. But high volume the bass is richer and the sound is too. U can also charge ur phone for longer too. The jbl extreme 2 does not disappoint

I have the charge 3 and have to say it’s the most incredible Bluetooth speaker I’ve ever owned or seen in my life but man do I really want to upgrade on th extreme 2. Kind of watch both pair and really get jamming.

Just picked up the Xtreme 2 as it’s priced at $219 now. It may be too large for some, but the sound quality is far superior. Dedicated tweeters and playing in stereo vs mono really puts the big one in a different class.

I was choosing between the two. Thinking that bigger is better. I use it mostly indoors. But read comments. So I bought Charge 4. If you want more low end and listen it in high volumes then I think Xtreme is better. In higher volume the low end tends to fade with Charge 4. If you are more "average" user then Charge is OK. So if you are looking daily driver for home then for me Charge is enough.

They JBL Xtreme 2 doesn't put out 40W of power it can only do it when its plugged in (AC) As far as i know.

I got both of em. They are amazing in their own way. If you want everybody to hear you- xtreme2. If you dont need so loud and bass spec speaker with a 2 times smaller body which is cheaper- charge4. Thats it cheers 🤙

On sale on amazon canada right now for $246 canadian (used to be 349 canadian). I might just go ahead and purchase. And for people saying its not as loud or bassy as the xtreme 1, just install new software from the jbl app and you should have the best sounding jbl speaker.

I have the 4 and after 3 months it will not hold a charge for long and have to use plugged it but will eventually die .the seller said there was no warranty after 3 months.I think for the price I paid I was disappointed but it’s a great product.

Uhhg im so torn i wanna buy a xtreme 2 but its too expensive for me, i want something rlly loud with good bass. I think ill have to settle with a charge 4 or 3

It's a beast, but I think it will fit in most backpacks where you don't have anything else. If you plan on putting other stuff in it, you may want to check measurements, as it may be a tight squeeze.

If you want to know which one is louder, without a doubt it's the Xtreme.

The JBL flip 3 so loud , So Xtream 2 maybe shaking 😱

You didn't mention the 3.5 mm aux jack on the Xtreme 2.

Still trying to decide. Love the $ of the Charge 4. But I also like the power of the Xtreme 2. However the Xtreme 2 might have better low end but to me it sounded muddy. Charge was much more crisp sounding.

You should get the Charge 4 in person the bass is the same as the Xtreme 2 and the charge is louder on battery mode than the Xtreme.

I feel like the JBL xtreme 2 does not give out 40watts while using only its battery. Anyone else experience this? I was going to return mine over this.. nevertheless it is still an awesome speaker. For the portability!

JBL extreme 2 is great for bass, and also when my phone was low on battery And conveniently charge my phone without playing any music, I fully charge my phone and the jbl extreme 2 never lost bar of battery and when I was off the bus I went to a school and played basketball while playing some music at full volume, after I was done I didn’t even lose a bar of battery that whole time, the jbl extreme 2 doesn’t disappoint

Watching this video with my Xtreme 2,I can hear the difference in the sound quality, the bass in the Xtreme 2 is more better than the Charge 4, but I won't deny the Charge 4 sounds more crispier than the Xtreme 2, well I would go for the Xtreme 2 because it's bigger and more expensive than the Charge 4 and it sounds like a mini home theater

I bought 2xcharge 4 becouse i thought: It is imposible to have with 1 xtreme2 a stereo sound you have with the 2xcharge 4. Also 2xcharge 4 = 60w. Also you don't need all (xtreme2)power always. I mean many times 1xcharge 4 is anought and you are carring smaler piece.. 1 xtreme2 or 2xcharge 4=price.

I have a bauhn speaker. it's loud and clear bass. don't let size fool you. its way cheaper than jbl charge 4. only thing is bad about it is battery life. 4, 5 hours of play time. I have a Xtreme 2. is everyone favorite. my point is all are also good if an amplifier could pushing speaker and passive radiator out.

i am gonna buy the jbl extreme2

Not bad. I have a flip 4 but it's not powerful enough for me. So I'll buy a xtreme 2 to connect + with the flip. I wish you dint talk in between the speakers. It was harder for me to hear the difference and resulted me to check out other KZread rs 🤷‍♂️sorry. Anyways you had some great info of the speakers and I have done a lot of research too find the differences and I can't complain👍

The flip 4 won't connect to the Xtreme 2. Only the charge 4 or the original jbl boombox will connect.

I have a Xtreme2 and the only thing i dont like is the loudness. It should be way louder. If you compare it to speakers with a similar price (Teufel Rockster Cross) The Cross is way louder and has more Bass

Get the boombox all sorted Xtreme is shit I had one I swapped it for 2 charges....

Small but bigsound in my old bose soundlink revolve which i can carry inside my handbag😂

I have tested them both the last cupple of days, the xtreme 2 is a realy good speaker however the C4 has similar sound and good bass performance fore its size. Xtreme 2 is to expensive for what you get and its realy heavy to carry around for to long, the C4 offers better value for your money and you can buy two for stereo/party mode for an even bigger soundstage than X2 and cheaper!
