party mode requires no app at all. only stereo requires the app.

I guess your LG projector is only have bluetooth connect, theres no searching for bluetooth device i guess?.... You need audio jack for your projector..

Would JBL enable a 2.1 speaker system feature thru JBL Connect+ app using any Xtreme speaker acting as sub and the 2 charges or flips acting as left-right satellite speakers?

Allen I need to make a decision to watch movies in my room on sound surround . I have my Extreme 2 on the edge of the cupboard and I need one to act like a sound bar . I am thinking the charge 3 to give that tip for sound surround when I shut my door it will be like a cinema on my Apple TV Can you give me the best in your opinion and I’m ready to buy in a week on Black Friday sales but I’ll def take your advice

my opinion is get a small soundbar, these speakers are not meant to be used as soundbars. you wont get surround sound for a start.

What kind of setup do you use when you have people over because when I have gatherings /parties. There’s always static connection or in n out connection. It’s sad I can’t jam out 😢 they’re 8 meters apart

I set them different locations in my living room not to far apart

I had two charge 4s and just bought an xtreme2 to add into the mix, but I've found that when linked the xtreme2 it just doesn't sound loud at all compared to the charge 4s, did you also notice this?

Alan Ross Reviews when I link all 3 together, the x2 is barely audible compared to the c4. Unless I turn off the bass boost, then it sounds comparable, but at that point when not just get a third c4 save money and weight?

Note for me your advice... But the price is very convinient its sale thats why i want it to buy beside the color as same as my extreme 2 forrest green.. In short is the price is right for consumer its go down bcoz of the charge 5 release....

I recently purchased a xtreme2 gg model and it has better bass than my pl model. From what I have seen online the drivers are different with a flat center cone. And both running 2.0 firmware. Maybe JBL are updating the old girl.

I loved the idea to use different speakers to fill what a single one is lacking. Its shit tho :/ Using several speakers has 3 advantages. More channels, its louder and it fills a room more evenly so it sound more like a Stage. A big difference in sound signature between the 2 (or more) speakers ruins that. In a bigger and more expensive system a room correction tool can fix that.

not sure i agree entirely. two sound signatures can compliment each other, i.e. one has a dip where the other has a boost can smooth things out.

@@xsparky0168 the drivers could be 500 watts rated it doesnt mean a thing. what counts is the amp. plugging in power does not act as an amp, what do you mean? you have a pre amp then an amp, not the other way round.

xtreme 2 and charge 4 is more punchy.

flip 4 and 3 have distorted bass on bass boosted music and i dont like that
