I bought a second xtreme 1 after owning one allready for about 2 years without problems. I got it brand New on deal for 126€ lol! I would be crazy to buy the 2 for nearly double the price. Im happy with how the xtreme 1 sounds so now i have 2 for a cheap price 😁

Anybody else’s JBL Xtreme battery fucked up now? I’m talking about the first generation JBL Xtreme. Me and my brother both have one and they both started malfunctioning around the same time. In order for me to listen to it for more than 10 mins it has to be plugged in otherwise it shuts off. And it won’t stop shutting off even tho it’s fully charged. And my bro baby’s his and never even turns the volume up all the way. Kinda weird that it happens around the release of the new Xtreme.

Haven't got my update yet what's going on I'm still on ver 1.2

I think its the jbl connect app

I left mine charging while my phone was plugged in the USB charching port of JBL extreme 2 , I woke up to a speaker that wouldn't charge anymore

I know this is hard to compare but how much difference between this and the homepod ? I have a homepod but need a portable speaker that sounds close at least I had the revolve plus bose and wasnt even close to the homepod.

Firmware 1.6.0 isn't official as of today (8-13-2018). v1.2.0 is still the latest firmware. I have no idea where these people are getting this update, but even JBL has said there is no official firmware update past v1.2.0.

@@yungkets I would say it louder and the battery life last longer. Also the battery charge time is a lot faster too. If your thinking of getting one , you wont be disappointed. 👍👍👍👍👍

It really depends. I was going to get the Xtreme. However I ended up getting the xtreme 2 for a couple of reasons. First because of the popular battery issue among the original xtreme. Secondly because the xtreme 2 does sound a bit better than the xtreme. Lastly I got the xtreme 2 because I knew I would want to upgrade eventually if I had gotten the xtreme so I just went ahead and got the xtreme 2. However for the price the xtreme is a really good deal!

Cybrflash The extreme 2 has the same batteries as the extreme. It might run into the same problems.

Juan Ramirez I haven’t seen any reports of any battery problems yet. They most likely revised their batteries.

Your the only one saying the xtreme 2 is louder than the xtreme 1 after update , everyone else says the xtreme 1 is still louder

I am on android and i had the upgrade but it glitched out when i tried to update it, and now 2 weeks later the update button is gone, but the speaker is still on the old software. Wtf is that JBL???
