In this edition of ‘George to the Rescue’: a stunning living room and home office transformation for a dedicated educator Point Pleasant, NJ and her sweet family.
Lori Cordasco, a hardworking trailblazer of sorts, is proud to have been the first reading specialist hired by the Point Pleasant School district over a decade ago. In addition to her full-time job, she spends four to five nights a week tutoring students. Recently, however, Lori and her husband Frank embarked on renovating their home little by little on their own, and the GTTR team - thanks to the time, vision, and expertise of John Tym Builders, Cabitron Kitchens, interior designer Tracy Pearce and more talented contributors - was beyond thrilled for the opportunity to show Lori some well-deserved love in return and help this community-oriented family make progress toward turning their fixer-upper into a dream home.

As an ESL teacher in Colombia, I am so thankful for this young lady who works to help students find themselves in reading. Thank you George and crew for your tireless approach to making lives better. Not only have you enriched the lives of this family but the lives of all the students this wonderful lady has the opportunity to work with and improve their self-worth and more. Blessings to all another one out of the park.
The only thing wrong with the GTTR episodes now is that they don't show as much of the process as they used to, and I miss that. But great job on another rescue.

A very good makeover. I am so glad that the stairs were fixed, I imagine they tripped a few times getting accustomed to the equal level treads after so long but no worries with bannister.

I got to say PTSD gives you reading problems (and so does dyslexia), and thank God I'm from an older generation where they didn't hold that stuff against you or put you in "remedial" classes, but I've heard today they do. So what this lady does is perfect.

The crew is normally there filming the intro, then George does come and surprise them
I usually love this show. This one was nothing more than a 3M advert with less information about the family and the reno than the sponsor. Come on...

The sponsors provide the money. I think this type of advertising is preferable than other ads that don’t even relate to the program.
